I've recently changed my apple id due to changing broadband provider . This has left me with a problem on my I phone 5 keeps flashing up for password for I cloud which has old e mail address and wont accept password or reset no e mail comes through very frustrating any ideas how I can fix this

I've had the chance to review your account and believe I was able to determine the cause of the problem. I've reset your password from our end to see if that resolves the issue, so please make sure to keep an eye on both your inbox and junk mail folders for a confirmation message. Please note that this message will only be valid for two hours, so you'll need to request another password reset here if you're unable to access the message within that timeframe. Additionally, when you sign back in, please make sure to do the following on order:
Log out of your BestBuy.com account completely on all devices, including the My Best Buy app
Delete your browser history, cache, and cookies
Visit the password reset link in your email (please be sure to check your spam folder)
Create a new password that fits the accepted criteria (use a password you’ve never used before)
Logout of your account as it will log you in automatically after creating the new password
Wait 5-10 minutes and then attempt to login to your account
Let us know if you have any other questions.

Go to Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Tap the name of the email account. If you don't see a bar labeled "Advance" near the bottom, Tap Account. Tap Advanced. Under Incoming Settings, there should be an option to Use SSL. If it is ON, tap it to turn it off.

So I tried something else recently and it seems to have fixed the issue. My mail is now getting new mail again and refreshing after waking from sleep without having to restart mail. Give it a try and hopefully it will help you too.
First, make sure your Mailbox List is visible (Shift + Control + M). Then select all of your inboxes, mailboxes, and folders (not just the root folder for nested folders, make sure to select them all). Then under the "Mailbox" menu, select "Rebuild."
It may take a while to rebuild them all if you have a lot, but like I said it seems to have done the trick for me. I hope that proves to be more of a long-term solution.

I now have to open my mail in-box and wait for my email messages to download. Do I need to reset or change my mail settings? Hi Chris. Thanks, for the suggestions re: my email issues. They were helpful and yes I did check all items you referenced. I even contacted Apple support and spent about 40 minutes on phone checking all settings. However, after all these efforts, my mail and calendar issues were not resolved. Apple Support finally recommended deleting the mail account and then reloading it - and it worked! I am now receiving my emails and calendar appts. in real time again.
Just wanted to share this in case anyone elest has a similar problem with mail/calendar after downloaing i.O.S. 8.1 onto iPhone 5.

Use your PC to sign-on to your mail service using the browser interface they provide. Delete all the e-mails you don't want on the server. That will prevent the iPad from downloading them.

ICloud e-mail not coming through (silent filtering)

I placed an ad on Craigslist and the responses don't seem to be coming through. I've read that iCloud has a silent filtering 'feature' that blocks things that it thinks are spam before they're even delivered. Is there any way to disable this? I'd like to get my e-mail.

If the email is being filtered at Apple's end there's nothing you can do about it. You'll need to change your ad and get a temporary Gmail address for responses, or some similar solution.

Make sure Mail is selected in System Preferences > iCloud
Launch Mac Mail. From that menu bar click Mail > Preferences then select the Account Information tab then the Accounts tab.
Make sure iCloud is selected from the Outoing Mail Sever (SMTP)
And the correct User Name and Password are typed in under: Incoming Mail Server

Hi, I have an iphone 4s and would like mail, texts and facebook notifications to pop up as banners as and when they come through. Mail only seems to push through when I manually go into mail and press on it although notifications are there if I down swipe the notifications bar. All of my notification settings are on and set to banners so I am not sure where the problem lies. Thanks for your help.

Are they maybe coming through as banners and you just dont happen to be looking at the phone when they come through? Because banner notifications will come through as a banner and then disappear after a few seconds. But they will stay on the "slide down" notification screen.

Sound is not coming through logic but through the rest of the computer, what is wrong?

Just today the sound in my logic express is not working. Sound comes through the rest of my computer-youtube, itunes, internet etc. but not through logic on any file that I open up. Could the audio configuration of the program be damaged? I just have no idea what is wrong. Please get back to me if anyone recognizes the issue.

When you say the sound in LE is not working, do you mean that it is not playing through your computer's speakers?
In Logic, check your Preferences>Audio>Devices>Core Audio tab and make sure your output device is set to Built-In Output, or whatever your preferred device is.

Attachments are not coming through correctly on th...

for some reason, all of my attachments that come through on my n900 are winmail.dat files instead of the actual pdf/doc/xls, etc.
anyone have an answer for that one? or, having the same issue?

yeah, did that, and just to appease the willingess for you post, i did it again, but still the same.
wierd, i have recieved a couple of email that have jpg files in them and they were fine. but the large majority are coming through as winmail.dat files. this includes what are supposed to be pdf's/doc/xls, etc.
maybe next firmware.
hope it comes as a christmas present from santa's usb cable!

Trouble with Meeting Requests not coming through - GMail to Exchange

I've just started trying to get a handle on all the thing my wife schedules for me around the kids. I've tried to get her to send me meeting requests so they go on my calendar but a lot of the time they're just not coming through. I get all of her emails and I get meeting requests all day long but there seems to be a problem getting the meeting requets from her.
She has an iPhone 4S and I have an iPhone 5 both running IOS 6.
She has gmail set up as Exchange in Mail on the iPhone.
I have a true MS Exchange account set up on the iPhone
She will create an event and add my work email as the invitee. It will show up on her phone but never come through sometimes.
Sometimes I've noticed that on her phone my name has a question mark next to it in the invite.
Any ideas? Any direction?
