HT201365 Disabled iPad after update

I've created a password (four digits one different to my I tunes password) for the activation lock...and I forgot it before I could restart it, I tried several times to unlock it and now my iPad is disabled ... How can unlock it back?

I should mention that it no longer streams video. Duh.

You can try this, but it appears as though the download went bad and you might very well have to restore your iPad to get rid of the "Other",
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
"Other" consist of non media content .... App documents and files, contacts, calendar entries, Safari bookmarks and history, notes, email messages and so on. It should not be bloating your iPad storage.

I had the same problem but looking at what everyone else said, I simpley slowly started to click on all the tabs in the app store, let them load completely, and then clicked back to the updates afterwards. It worked after a little while

1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

Cannot sync Ipad after updating to ios7! Please help!

I just updated my family's Ipad, called "Soy's iPad" to ios7. I created a backup on my iTunes account just before I updated. Now, when trying to sync my Ipad after downloading ios7 iTunes gives me the error:
"The iPad "Soy's iPad" could not be synched because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPad.
To authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store choose Store > Authorize this Computer."
So I authorize the computer and iTunes gives me the message "This computer has already been authroized." So, naturally, I try to sync the iPad again. It gives me the same "computer is no longer authorized" error message. It's an infinite loop. Please help me get my data back on my iPad.
Signing out and then back in to iTunes does not help either. Also, under my iTunes account under manage devices, Soy's iPad does not even show up as one of my devices anymore. How to I add my iPad back as an authroized device on my Apple ID?
Is anybody else having this error?
Any help would be greatly appreciated since there are many cherished memories along with important data on my family's iPad. Please help me get my iPad working again!

Your iPad is not syncing with iTunes now and before it does start to sync and before you create a backup that overwrites the current backup that holds all of your data and camera roll photos, you should probably turn off autosync. I should have thought of that before, but if the iPad isn't syncing, no damage has been done.
Launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices. Check the box at the bottom that says - Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from automatically syncing. Click OK.
If it doesn't make that much difference to anybody, you could try deleting the app and see if that will let you sync after you delete it. You will lose all of your progress in the game if you delete it, but - if you did create a backup before you updated - then your game progress should be included in that backup.
BTW, did you try restoring from the backup that you created before you updated, and then try to sync with iTunes? Restoring form that backup should restore the old settings that were on the iPad and the iPad was syncing properly while using those settings.

TS4147 Duplicate contacts on iPad after updating Outlook 2007

After updating contacts in Outlook 2007 and syncing my iPad via iCloud, I have duplicates of the updated contacts (the original one & the updated one) on my iPad. I checked iCloud contacts and no duplicates exist there and the duplicates do not exist in Outlook 2007. When I delete the original contact from iPad, both (the original and updated) contacts are gone from the iPad and the contact is completely removed from iCloud and Outlook 2007. I am not using Exchange.

I have the same problem here. I didn't change my setup.

I deleted contacts from the iPad because I thought the sync process created the duplicate while resolving conflicts. But that was not the case. I had duplicate contacts on the iPad that i haven't touched a while ago.
I lost contacts. Is there a way to get a backup for some/all of my contacts from apple?

I cannot sync my laptop with the iPad after update.

After updating my iPad I can no longer sync it with my computer. Before the update I could sync music pictures etc. my computer says the iPad has an invalid signature. Any suggestions on how I can fix this.

I want to add that when I connect ipad with my laptop and launch iTunes my ipad doesn't appear in devices it's greyed out...again all this worked before update.

Noticed keynote remote will not pair after updating. Bluetooth light flashes a couple of times then goes off. I'm wondering if it's a bluetooth issue or a keynote remote app issue.

I've tried all the things recommended in the Apple KB article, and it doesn't work. Mulderscully is right, in the recent iOS 5 upgrade, Bluetooth is not turned on (at least, its symbol is not visible) from within Keynote even if you turned it on in the Settings menu. Posts in another thread recommended using another app to establish a Bluetooth connection between the iPad and iPod (I used Touch Rummy), then switching back to Keynote and Keynote Remote. This does work for me, but it is an awkward workaround. Shouldn't 'It just work'?

There are a few ways of disabling the automatic reboot.
Method 1.
Go to Windows updates -> Select Change Settings -> Select Download Updates But Let me Choose.. -> Okay.
Method 2.
Click Start -> Run Enter “gpedit.msc” -> Go to Local Computer Policy -> Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Update -> Double-click on “No auto-restart for scheduled Automatic
Update installation” -> Enable it! -> Reboot the computer

IWork Numbers unable to sync between iPhone & iPad after update to iOS6

After updating to iOS 6 on both iPhone & iPad, iWorks Numbers do not sync as before.

You need to enable iCloud syncing on each device for automatic syncing. On the iPad, go to Settings & scroll way down to Numbers & turn iCloud on.

Connect your iPad to your computer with the cable.
Start iTunes, if it does not start up on it's own.
Select your iPad in the upper right tab in the iTunes window on the right or in the left sidebar, depending on how iTunes is configured
Click on the books tab at the top of the iTunes window on the right
Click on all of the books that you want to sync.
Click on Sync (or Apply) in the lower right corner of iTunes.
Take a look at this.

You can also download the books again for free in most instances as long as you use the same Apple ID that you bought them with.

Cant activate my iPad after updating to ios7

I have installed ios7 on my IPad2 and after the welcome screen, where you can see hello in different languages, the IPad should be activated. The problem is now, that i get a message, that this activationserver cannot be contacted and i should try it in a few minutes or with itunes... tried it yesterday the whole day and then in itunes... didnt work at all...
theres also no reset possible in itunes....
so what can i do?
