I had someone update my iPad and all of a sudden after the update when I open my apps they shut down right away? How do I get them to open??

So you Installed a New Free App as suggested...
If still no joy... Try this...
Close All Open Apps... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Try restarting first. This fixes a lot of issues after installing Mavericks.
If you have an iCloud account, you might want to uncheck Contacts in System Preferences > iCloud. Does contacts open now? If it's Gmail, Yahoo or other account that syncs contacts, uncheck in System Preferences > Internet Accounts.

I understand that after updating to the most resent version of iOS, you are unable to copy and paste on your iPad as described in the attached iPad User Guide (page 30).

To begin troubleshooting, I would suggest resetting your using the instructions located in the attached article.
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If the issue continues after resetting, please let me know what happens when you try to select text as described in the User Guide.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.

They will be wherever you put them.
DId you fail to transfer all purchases to your computer before updating? Not good.
In some countries you can redownload some itunes purchases.

For the release of iOS 6 last fall Apple decided to replace the Google Maps app with Apples own Maps app. That is why you are seeing these changes. Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
I've also seen it suggested that people try downloading a free app from the store onto the iPad (as that seems to reset something), and then re-try the apps - the free app can then be deleted.

Update on my problem connecting in Itunes with my Airport Express. Not sure if anything I tried made a difference
but I finally got the Pop up window saying this device requires a Password. I entered the password and I can once again use the Airport Express as a remote speaker.

One of my apps won't stay open after iPad and app both had update

After updating with the new update for the iPad I updated my nook app. Now my nook app won't stay open. I've restarted my iPad multiple times and tried it with and without wifi still won't stay open.

I suggest trying the update again after an hour or two. Sometimes, the notice that an update is available comes an hour or two before the developers actually sends the revised app out to be downloaded.
