My purchased songs aren't lost the computer is not giving the option to put the newly purchased music into the ipod.
How do you do what? Plug the iPhone into a USB port directly on your computer, or disconnect other USB devices? To disconnect a USB device unplug it from the computer. If it is a disk drive eject it first using the Eject icon in the System Tray. To plug the iPhone into a USB port directly on the computer insert the USB end of the sync cable into a USB port on the computer.
If you are using all of the ports on your computer get a hub and plug low power devices into the hub (e.g., keyboard, mouse). Or get a hub with its own power supply and plug your high power devices (disk drives, DVD drive) into it.

i have been having an issue with updating my ipod touch for some time now and i can not seem to get it to update to the lastest update. it is stuck on 4.2.1 software and i can not update it to 4.3 or any other ios software update. can you please help me to solve this issue.
It sounds like you actually have a 2G iPod Touch which can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1. If it's an 8 GB iPod Touch it's definitely a 2G iPod Touch as there was never such a thing as a 3G 8 GB iPod Touch. See this article to help verify what generation iPod Touch you have.

I got a new laptop and now all my music will not sync to my iPod touch. How do i fix this??
My old latop crashed and now i am using a laptop from work. i signed into my apple account. I downloaded 4 cds to my iTunes, and restored and updated my iPod touch 3rd generation. i tried syncing all the music on my account to my iPod, and it will only sync 48 of 600 or so songs. The 48 songs are from the 4 CDs. How do I get all of my previous music which does show up into my iTunes music library to sync to my iPod. HELP

Yes, but if you delete the iCloud account and start again, don't you have to wait 90 days for everything to start syncing?? I've been having this problem for months and no one seems to be able to figure it out. I used to have one Apple ID (which was not an email address) and then when iOS came along....and iCloud, they force you to use your email address as ID ....which actually sets up a SECOND Apple ID. I have a Mac, iPad, iPod touch and iPhone. the Apple techs tried to delete the iCloud accounts so that they all said the same thing (email address ID) but then I had to wait 90 days. the 90 days just passed and nothing is automatically syncing yet. I still think there are 2 accounts but if I delete all again.....it's going to be another 90 days (for security reasons, I was told). This is a real pain in the butt.

I have several problems with itunes on my PC. I use 2 PC's and Iphone for work and I have an IPod nano. For about a week I have been having several problems with Itunes. The first problem is I cannot access the store, I get the loading screen and that is it. This screen lasts forever, nothing ever happens it just loads, and loads, and loads. . . .
I try to sign in thinking that will help the loading issue and I get error message saying "We could not complete your itunes store request. An unknown error occurred (-50)." This happens on both computers. I also cannot download from my iphone, I get the same error message. Running diagnostics does nothing, itunes says everything is in working order. Uninstalling and reinstalling also does nothing. I have had itunes for years now and up until about 10 days ago had no problems. My itunes is not behind a firewall on either computer. I'm saying all of this because I would prefer not to get obvious answers or links that do not help me. Please someone has to know how to fix this.Welcome to discussions! First of all, I live in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Sometimes, I use a VPN to search on the web here. I purchased Toy Story 3 on my MacBook Pro 2011 OS/X - Lion through iTunes. I initially had trouble downloading it which may be due to being on and off the VPN but after a while it finally downloaded and shows up in my iTunes library on my MacBook.
Under my Apple ID account (which is the only Apple ID account I have), I look under purchase history and it shows that I paid for Toy Story which is where I got my Order # from. But if you go to the iTunes Store then to the Quick Links then click on Purchased, under all my Movies, it does NOT show Toy Story 3 as one of my movies.
Now when I go to my iPad (3rd gen.), Toy Story 3 does not show up under purchased movies (all or not on my iPad). It does not show up on my Apple TV as well. If I want to have Toy Story 3 on my iPad or Apple TV, then it says I have to purchase it again.
I have searched for help via Apple support communities but so far none of their solutions have worked for me. I have tried logging off iTunes & App Store on iPad and also shutting down the iPad. I also made sure that under iTunes Preferences>Store that iTunes in the Clouds purchases is checked. Can someone please help me with this? Your consideration is greatly appreciated. I just purchased this movie on Thursday, May 15, so just a few days ago. I have never had any trouble whatsoever since I have been in Vietnam. I have downloaded several movies and even music and they have all synced to my respected Apple products except for this purchase.

ThanksI also have a 4G ipod touch and a similar problem. Since I updated to the ios5 software any new songs I add to my iTunes don't sync to my ipod main playlist. They show up in the 'recently added' playlist, but not in the main 'songs' section. I fixed the problem once by restoring to factory settings and rather than reinstalling from a backup, I created a new ipod name and synced everything onto my ipod as if it was new.
This worked until the next new song I added and then the same problem started all over again. If you do reinstall everything as new, you may want to take a screen shot of where all your apps are and make sure all your photos etc are saved, as everything will be from scratch. Hope this helps! -
My music will not play on my iPhone 5. It has the upgrade as well as my iTunes on my macbook. But the music will not sync to my iPhone and all music is in my library. What do I need to do?
An exclamation mark means that it doesn't know where you moved the music to. To fix this, click on the exclamation point and when it asks you to browse to the location where you moved it to, use the normal commands to go up and down folders in your external drive until you find the song. Repeat as necessary.

I setup a separate itunes account for my iphone. I put my ipod music onto it. The music will not sync to my iphone. It tells that all info will be lost if I do it. HELP! The music is showing in the library.
you can connect the iPhone to your mac and import those iPhone photos and videos to iPhoto assuming you have iPhoto. You can create a folder and export all those photos to the Finder. Keep safe somewhere. Also keep the iPhoto library for safe keeping. When you restore your iPhone you can sync all those photos back to the iPhone. so you will lose nothing. Just remember when you export from iPhoto select jpeg for photos and original for videos taken with the iPhone.

I was using my wifi last night when I got an error message stating my ip address had been taken over. Then safari stopped working and i can no longer access the internet. I looked at my ip address and it states 000.000.000....can someone please help?
Sounds like a bogus pop up. In any case power down your Mac, your modem, your router. Then power back up in 1 minute sequence; modem, router, Mac.

My husband and I both have iPhones on the same account. When he did his update yesterday, he chose both his number and my number during set up. Now he is getting my messages, too. Can someone please help me fix this?
What do you mean he chose his and your number during setup. Chose them for what? Is you number showing up in the Settings>Messages>"You can be reached by imessage at" section? If it is he needs to remove it.
