  • How to use Itunes Store without credit card

I've followed all the guides on how to download free apps in the Itunes store without having to enter a credit card, but there is no "none" option for me. What am I doing wrong? I just want to download free apps without having to enter a credit card since I don't have one anyway. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

You've followed all the steps in this article exactly?
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is apparently critical.
If you still are unable to get it to work, you may not be able to open an account without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.) Perhaps a relative or friend would enter in their own credit card long enough to get your account activated after which they could remove the information.

  • How to make iTunes watch a shared disk for new music?

I have a small home network with a shred disk with all the music we purchased ripped neatly into it.
I wish my iTunes software to watch this disk and let me play music from there and creates playlists in order to update my iPOD.
I do not wish to manually import every time as existing songs are imported over and over and if I clear the library and re import the playlists are erased.
    Please suggest a solution.
    Thanks

    Shalom, Ofer.
iTunes doesn't offer any sort of folder watching feature.
about If the folder is added once more - I get duplicates.
    That shouldn't happen.
Unless your files on the server are WMAs, or you have messed up settings.

  • How to create iTune or App Store without credit card for my existing Apple ID without create new Apple ID or email?

I got 2 Apple ID and the first time to I use it to iTune or App Store, a box will pop out and telling me this:
"This Apple ID has not yet been used with the i Tunes Store. Please review your account information."
Then, I click on the button, "Review". Bla bla... but ended up, I must provide a credit card in order to complete it.
I do not have credit card, so I search 'How to create iTune or App Store without credit card', same link and same tactic only valid for New Apple ID.
So, it seem no other option to create iTune or App Store without credit card for existing Apple ID, right?

The same thing is happening to me!

  • How can I create a second apple id (without credit card) for my daughter and share it on the same environment?

Hello, I found some suggestions regarding how to create an account without credit card details for a child, but I'm not shore if it would work harmlessly.
The following points describe my situation:
I access the iTunes store from my MacBook Pro, while my 15 year old daughter will access iTunes from her iPad.
Every time she needs a free download I have to enter my Apple ID in through her iPad.
When it comes to purchase an app or music for her iPad I do it from my mac and then synchronize with her iPad.
This is what I’m looking for:
I would like her to have her personal apple ID that don’t require a credit card so she would be able to log and download the free apps and updates
I also would like to purchase her software by using my Apple ID linked to my credit card
I wouldn’t want her to lose the software and on her iPad once logged with a different Apple ID
Last, I would appreciate to not see the apps downloaded on her iPad appearing on my iPhone: is there a way to have a selective destination for downloaded apps?
    Thank you in advance

You can create a new account without giving credit card details by following the instructions on this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
And she can then use that account for free items. If she redownloads an item on her iPad (and similarly on your Mac) from an account (either your existing account or a new one) then she may tie the iPad to that account for 90 days (so she won't be able to redownload items from the other account until those 90 days have completed) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627
Also all content is tied to the account that downloaded it, so only your account will be able to download updates to the apps that were bought/downloaded by your account.
The apps will only automatically download on your phone if you have automatic downloads turned on in Settings > iTunes & App Store on it.

  • Any way to create an iTunes account without credit card or Paypal account?

Any way to create an iTunes account without credit card or Paypal account? I've been given a couple of free downloads, but can't seem to redeem them without giving out a credit card number to register. Since I don't have access to a credit card or Paypal account for use online, how can I create an account to use prepaid iTunes cards, etc.? Thanks!

I don't know what "something" you were trying to redeem, but if it was a valid iTunes Store give, go to the main iTunes Store page (within iTunes), click on the "Redeem" link on the right side of the page, and enter in the code from your card. You'll be able to create an iTunes Store account without needing a credit card.

  • How to make iTunes recognize the music library in my external hard drive after instaIling Yosemite?

How to make iTunes recognize the music library in my external hard drive after instaIling Yosemite? I tried re-setting the media folder location, but it didn't work. What else should I do?

The issue is not related to the external drive. iTunes Match has difficulties matching tracks ripped fom CDs because they may differ slightly from the versions on sale in iTunes. You can try the match again. Otherwise do a search of this forum. There are already many discussions on this subject here that may help you.

  • How to make iTunes read the song's name/singer from the file's name itself?

    Hi everyone,
So I have this file with songs from everywhere. I spent quite some time now to make sure that the structure of each file's name is as such : "Singer - Song name", hoping that everything would be read by iTunes accordingly. However, either iTunes read it well, or it didn't read it at all ("Singer - Song name" appearing in Title alone), or iTunes read the "media" of the file (ie. what the guy I downloaded it from wrote for it in the Preferences, which usually is in capital letters or with a bunch of weird underscores). As I'm OCD and need everything to be neat, I'm highly tensed right now. I really want everything to be neat and clear!
So, how do I make sure that iTunes reads the files' names such that it knows the structure is "Singer - Song name"? Thanks.

iTunes doesn't use file names to determine how music appears in your library,  Rather, it uses metadata that is split between:
data elements that are embedded within the media files
data elements that are included in the entries in the iTunes database
No amount of reorganization, renaming or other manipulation at the file level will make any difference to how songs will appear in iTunes.  Using your example:
the value of the track number element is 1
the value of the artist element is "Elvis Presley"
the value of the song name element is "Blue Suede Shoes"
Depending on how you configure iTunes then the file name is either:
completely independent of iTunes (i.,e., the file containing this song could be xyz.mp3)
dependent on the metadata managed by iTunes, (i.e., when you have these two options set:
then iTunes will set the file name to be 1-01 Blue Suede Shoes.mp3 where:
the file is in a folder called "Elvis Presley" (the name of the album)
that folder is in one called "Elvis Presley" (the name of the artist) which is in iTunes Media\Music
Going back to your question "How to make iTunes read the song's name/singer from the file's name" the answer is simple - you can't, as this is not how iTunes works.  There are some third-party utilities that you can use to set some metadata element values based on parsing of file names which might be a useful first step.  However, to use iTunes effectively you should really forget about / ignore file names - manage your media using appropriate metadata and allow iTunes to look after file names behind the scenes.

How to Make Itunes Recognize Foreign Characters in file names?
    Any Body, please
    DELL Windows XP Pro

That's not how it's supposed to work according to this: http://www.griffintechnology.com/support/italkpro/
By default, a playlist will be created in iTunes called "Voice Memos" and those files will be transferred there automatically. The files themselves can be found on your computer in your iTunes Music folder in Unknown Artist > Unknown Album.
It may be worth working through any trouble shooting articles on that site.

  • How to make iTunes detect the new location of music files?

Hi everyone. I moved all of my music to a different location on my hard drive, and I changed the location in iTunes preferences, but it doesn't seem to detect this, so my library is empty now. I saved an itl, xml, and temp file as well, but I don't know what to do from here.
I also tried dragging the new music folder onto the "Library" entry in iTunes, and this added everything, but I no longer have my ratings, playlists or anything like that.
Is there some other way to have iTunes detect the new location? And can I get back my ratings and playlists?
    Thanks.
