I would like to know when the contacts will be added to the item "Surname before marriage." In many sotsealnyh networks it is, and write it is not much.

Hi,
The “Add new item” button will redirect users to add new item with the default Content Type of the current list.
So a workaround can be like this: We can change the default Content Type of this list every time when users open this list view page, then the “Add new item” button will work
as you expected.

We can put the code into a Visual Web Part and add it into your two views, then when users open a list view page, the code will be executed to change the default Content Type

JQuery Tutorial needed to customize Add New Item and Edit Item forms

I need a tutorial to use JQuery to customize the UI Screen of SharePoint to add a new item in a list.
since I don't have prior UI experience it will be nice if the tutorial is specifically targetted towards customizing the automatic form which is presented by sharepoint when we try to add an item to a custom lists.

Add an item into announcement list in site collec. and repeat the same in all the sub webs' announcement list without using event receiver

hi,
I have a requirement: in my site collection i have an announcement list. and in my site collection some 600+ sub sites exist. sharepoint admin uploads an announcement into this rootweb's announcement list. now is there any way
i can add the same announcement -which has title, description, date time etc .- to all the 600+ sub sites' announcement list?
i know , if i write a list item event receiver i will be able to iterate through eacha nd every subweb of my site collec and add this item into those sub web's announcement list. But, without writing an event receiver and creating and deploying
another wsp and avoiding all those headache, is it possible to achieve this requirement?
any other approaches are highly appreciated!

As a workaround, we can create a winform application for admin use only to add the item to all the sub web's announcement list.

TS1702 Recently I updated the shopping list/grocery list app that I purchased awhile back.When I try to add an item it kicks me back to the desktop.I have rebooted & reinstalled several times.No success.

Recently I installed the update for the Shopping List/Grocery List app that I purchased awhile back. When I try to add an item to the list it throws me out of the app to the desk top on my ipod touch. I have tried rebooting the device and reinstalling the app several times, Does anyone have any ideas how to get it to work or to go back to the old app before they updated it?

Have you contacted the developer/went to their support site? Maybe it just is not compatible with iOS 6.
You can try what yo have not already tried of the following:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

Why "New Item" in ribbon and "Add new item" in xsllistview link to different form

I have a question. I have a list with two new forms, one is created in SPD the other one is created in InfoPath (both forms are created by developer).
I don't know why the new form link to different page when I click "New Item" in ribbon and "Add new item" in list view.
1. Will open new form that created in InfoPath when click on "New Item" in ribbon.
2. Will open new form that created in SPD when click on "Add new item" in list view.

One way to do this would be to hold the urls for the pages you need to display in a table. You could then build the links as one of the columns of a report using some fancy SQL. 
 
Or you could make a simple function to return the correct link based on the relevant parameters:

Your report could then include the function as one of the columns in your report.

Crystal Report not listed Add New Item for Visual Studio 2010

I just finished installing cryestal report for visual studio 2010.
During the installation a visual studio error dialog popped up "Operation cannot be completed. Access Denied", the crystal report installation continued and was informed that the installation was successful.
But on opening my visual studio project to add new item, crystal report item is not listed there.
Is there anything that needs to be done to get it listed in the Add New Item dialog for visual studio?

I wonder what file you ran to install CRVS2010? Was it the MSI as opposed to the actual install file?

How to add Excise item with out chapter id

Dear all,
How to add Excise item with out chapter id?
Chapter id of purchae items will be known only after receiving Invoice/gate pass/delivery chalan from supplier/vendor
To send a purchase order we need to create that particular item in the master, but with out assigning chapter id system is not allowing to save without chapter id.
How to solve this?
I am with SAP 8.8 and PL 10

Hi Kumar,
Refer the book of chapter ID or find out on internet you will get the chapter ID.
Still if you not able to get the chapter id then consult with excise advisory.
But you can add Excise PO until you have the excise details in Item master.

JComboBox takes ages to load/refresh when tried to add more items.

Here is the test app generated from VA3.5 concept is the
same - JComboBox takes long time to add data items to itself when added more items.
In this senario, I tried to load about 500 items into the combo box, takes about 2+ minutes to load. I have an app which needs to show about 1K items in the pick list ( ComboBox ) - which takes any where from 4 - 10 min - this is not acceptable - are there any ways we can load more items into combo box ? Help is really appreciated.

How do I add multiple items to a hitTestObject?

I have a horizontally scrolling flying game involving a character and diferent types of food moving across the screen from right to left which the character has to collect ("hit"). I have the hitTestObject working for 2 different food movieclips with one item belonging to a healthyList, and the other to a junkList.
The problem is I don't know how to add more items (movieclips) to each of the lists, so that I have for example 6 items in the healthyList and 4 items in the junkList.
Below is the code in my Engine.as file. The red highlighted text is the code that creates the problem. I thought that I just needed to add this line in order to add another item to the "healthyList" of food types, but I obviously have it in the wrong place or have the wrong code completely.

It's good that you don't expect me to do the work for you - saves me from letting you know that. Doing the work is how you learn. I am also not here to teach you, and it looks like you might need to get some basics under your belt before you can pursue something like what you are doing now.
As I already said, the Math.random() method will be one of the key techniques you will need to use for anything you want to have happen randomly.
Usually it comes in handy with randomly choosing an array's index, where the array stores the different items you want to randomly choose. In your case, the array could store the names of the different functions you could call for each food item you want to add. Or you could have the classes of the objects in the array and randomly choose which one to load in...
 var foodClasses:Array = new Array("Carrots", "Broccoli", "Hotdog", etc...);
this approach requires knowing how to dynamically create a new class instance using only a String value.... for example:
 var ClassRef:Class = Class(getDefinitionByName("className"));
 var classInstance:* = new ClassRef();
 addChild(classInstance);
In that bit of code, the className would be whatever class name you randomly pulled from the array of the class names...
I didn't say it isn't effective, though it can easily fail being effective as well when your file starts getting bogged down with everything else that is going on. I said it isn't efficient. It is constantly fliipping a 120-sided coin, as fast as the file's frame rate to see if it comes up 50 or not. You could use a setTimeout function or a Timer and get much more efficent performance instead... only processing the code when the time passes.
If you cannot understand how that one line of code works, you are probably in over your head and you need to back up to more basic learning before you can tackle something like what you seem to want to create here.

It's not possible to 'append' a StringItem or a TextField (or any other lcdui.Item object) to a Canvas or GameCanvas. You can only draw lines, draw images, draw text, etc etc, on a Canvas screen. So, you can only 'simulate' the look and feel of a TextField (on a Canvas) by painting it and adding source code for command handling (like key presses). However, this will be quite some work!!
lcdui.Item objects can only be 'appended' to a Form-like Displayable.

Change value of a control in a list item new or edit form depending on the page level view Add New Item being clicked.

I have a list which has a underlying infopath form for insert and edit a record.
The list has various views spread across different pages .
Now depending on different pages "New Item", a value for the form will have a corresponding value.
If there is a single line of text control in the list, and depending ona page name, the value for the single line text should be autofilled when Add new item is clicked.
How do i achieve that?

Hi,
According to your description, there are several list views in your list, there is a textbox control which holds the “Single Line of Text” type of data in your custom
form. When users click the “Add new item” button in one of the existing list views, you want the textbox control in the custom form to be populated automatically.
By default, when user clicks the “Add new item” button in a list view, the URL of the custom form page will contain the name of that list view page, thus, a workaround
which requires custom code can be like this:
After the form page loaded, we can extract the name of the list view page from the URL, then populate it into the textbox control immediately. This can be achieved
using jQuery.

How to disable Add New Item in SharePoint 2013

Hi,
I want to disable the Add New Item button after the user created one item in SharePoint 2013.
Is it possible to disable?

I'd do it creating a custom web part that would mimic the list web part, and have logic in there that makes sure to hide the button once an entry by the current user has been made in the list. You could also create a workflow that would remove the user's
permission to add a new item on the list upon creating an item.
