HT204291 I had airplay with my ipad 2 and the apple tv before for a while. For some reason after a sync, i can no longer find the airplay icon on my ipad. Any idea why?
I had been using airplay on my ipad2 mirror to my apple tv. Worked fine for a while.
I sync and backed up my ipad yesterday and i could no longer see the airplay icon.
Anybody know why and the solution please?
Is your Apple TV "awake"? Sometimes the AirPlay icon won't show for me if the Apple TV is sleeping - pressing a key on the Apple remote ususally resolves it.

Mavericks is the name of your operating system. It is otherwise known as OSX 10.9.
The previous versions were indeed "cat things".
The way you would know if you need to download new software from Epson is to go the Epson website and search for your printer there, look for downloads, and see if they have new software listed for 10.9.
You can revert your system back to what it was two weeks ago. This would be easier to do if you have a backup that you made prior to installing Mavericks (like with Time Machine). If you don't have a backup (sounds like you probably don't), you can look here for some directions about how to go back to the "Cat Thing" that you had prior to installing Mavericks: How to revert OS X back from Mavericks: Apple Support Communities
If all of this is too hard for you, you could take your Mac in to your Apple store and ask them to help you. -
Why can't I connect to my iphone5 with my iPad, Snote2 or another iPhone5 through wifi as a hotspot, only through Bluetooth? My Snote2 can't even find the iphone5 as a hotspot, even on Bluetooth.
I've reset, restored and updated everything but no go.WiFi is preferable for use as a hotspot to Bluetooth.
Have you tried Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings?
If you have and it didn't work I would take the iPhone in for service. -

Time machiene can no longer find the back up files on my time captule..
I have have manged to see the files via finder.
dleted the files, and also gave time captule a new name, and pasword.
All seemd fine but somehow the new back up could not be finished.
Repeated all the steps, but now had the computer hooked up to the time captule with a network kabel ( make it go quicker..)
Still no succes...
Seems somhowe acces to the time captule is difficult for the time machien software...You may find useful advice in this post.

My acer Aspire V7-481P touchscreen stopped working. I can no longer find the pen and touch settings on my computer, please help, I have tried to download all the drivers on the acer website and it is still not working. The touchscreen previously worked before

go to device manager, find Human Interface Device, find HID-compliant touchscreen (maybe under USB input device), try to enable it, click yes and restart PC
If not solved, try to perfrom system restore (back to condition when this PC working fine)

my ma bookk pro fimds my kodak wireless printer on start up, but after a period of time, can no longer find it and I get a connection error. I have to restart for it to connect again to the printer. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -

I have two id's and I dont want one!! I bought a used Mac pro I thought i had changd all their information, but when I try to do updates on my Iphone, I enter my id and password, then it will ask for the id of the other passoword!!!!( the person who I bought the Macpro from) grrrrr anyone know how I can get this sorted out? It's possible that the rights-holder has removed the album, and her other albums, from your country's store. Is the album available on other music download purchase sites that you have access to ? Or is the CD available ?

Pages only offered a save version option and after closing I can no longer find the file
After finishing my 21 page document, I exported to PDF changing the file name. Opened the file menu, noted that there was no save option only save a version and then closed the document, presuming the autosave would have worked as usual. I can now no longer find the file.
Can I recover it? Have I done something wrong as I never have had this concern before.If I recall right you can always get Save or Save as by Press Option key when clicking on the File menu.
The problem is that you can't find the file. i am not the right person to help you as i still rather use Snow Leopard then the newer MacOs versions. -
Using airplay with multiple devices and different apple IDs
I have Apple TV, iPod touch and iPad utilizing 2 different apple IDs. I can't seem to get airplay working on both devices. Help appreciated
iWeb is an application you can use to create webpages with.
Formerly it was part of iLife. But it is discontinued.
It doesn't work with airplay.
And since this forum is about iWeb, chances are very slim you will get an answer in this forum.

Can't download certain podcasts in iTunes app... any ideas why not?
Hi all,
For the most part, I have no problem finding podcasts in the iTunes app on my iPad, and downloading podcasts directly. However, a handful of podcasts refuse to let me do so, and I can't figure out why. I tap on the "free" icon, and nothing happens... it doesn't change to "download" or anything.
Can someone else verify this, and maybe have an idea what the problem is? Thanks!

-Ryan SatterfieldI am having the exact same issue except I am using Win 8.1 64 bit. Same symptoms as you described, except if I close iTunes with CD in drive and reopen, it recognizes the CD. If I eject CD and insert another one it is not recognized. I have tried all the diagnostics on Apple support site and nothing has worked. All pc divers current and optical drive is working normally.

Why can I print from my iPhone and not my iPad? I have been able to do it in the past. I have tried a hard reset but it still cannot find the printer.
In addition to rebooting the router and the iPad, I would reset the printer as well. Unplug the printer from power and do the same with the router. Leave the router unplugged for about 30 seconds. Plug the router in first and let it totally start up, plug the printer in again, and then reboot/reset the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that doesn't work, you can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. Your WiFi passwords, location services, device preferences all have to be re-entered. You will not lose any data or media whatsoever. -
No longer turned on, then mysteriously it did! Any ideas why??
So one day my MBP was working fine, it had about 70% charge left. I closed the lid and went upstairs, opened the lid again and it didn't come back on. I tried the power button, still nothing. There was no backlight on the screen, no sounds, nothing. The power cord light still came on when plugged in and the battery indicator still worked, indicating i still had the ~70% charge.
The only other clue I have, which could help diagnose what happened, is that i tried turning on the caps lock button to see if that light would come on. With the bedroom lights turned off, i pressed the power button and saw caps lock briefly light up! Each time i pressed the power button it would light up less and less until even that wouldn't work anymore.
I ran every recommended diagnosis step on Apple's 'If your Mac won't turn on' pdf.
After a few days of trying the power button I tried once more, It turned on! Has been working again for about 10 days now.
I am still very precarious about using it now, and would welcome any suggestions as to what happened and how to prevent it happening again.
My bet is that there is a loose power connection somewhere inside.I would perform SMC and NVRAM resets.
