HT204570 Photos how to fix messed up metadata (geolocation/date & time)

Since I migrated my Photolibrary to iCloud Photo Library, information on my photos, such as geolocation and date have been messed up.
The original date & time is set off by a random amount of time, (months even) and the geolocation data seems to have been altered. (Miles off)
How can I restore the original data or fix the fotos?

If the date shift is the same for all selected photos using the Image ➙ Adjust Date and Time menu option
you can batch adjust the time for all photos:

  • How to fix the size of table data in html

I want to fix the size of table data in html. ie if i want to insert only 50 char in a <td> field then it contain only 50 character, after that it switched to another line and contain the remaining character. Means <td> field wil not get automatically adjust there size according to data.

you cant specify how many characters a td cell can have but u can specify the pixel width of a td cell
    <td width=50>
as long as you have wrap text on, then text will not force the box size over the 50 pixels
this wont limit it to only 50 chars though, you will probably have to use some javascript to cut the string down to size (unless youre using something like php or asp then that will do the trick too)

Replace the battery.  If that does not work, then system board is toasted...

  • Metadata: Image Date/ Time

Is it possible to change the Image Date and Time in the metadata to a version without having to re import?

Correct, I am referring to the EXIF data. Aperture can change this data using the aforementioned "Metadata", "Adjust Date and Time..." feature, it's only that Aperture can't (as far as I can tell) set a batch of photo to the exact date and time among the entire batch.
Perhaps I'll be able to find or create an Apple Script to do this outside of Aperture?
It's a shame though as I can't possibly be the only one with a large scanned collection from years ago I'm trying to archive in proper date order. This would be a great new added feature Apple, if you are also reading this! (I've already submitted the feature request some weeks ago)

  • How do I stop auto update of date/time

    Hi,
I'm starting to despair, a while ago I stupidly clicked on auto update/time on a letter I was working on, it seemed like a good idea at the time. But now whenever I open any letter the date is automatically updated which is a major problem as I am losing the references to when I actually wrote and therefore sent these letters. I'm too scared to open letters now because I'll lose this important piece of information.
    Any help appreciated!
    Thanks
    Nathalie

Next time, don't use the Pages 's insert date_time feature.
Use the one delivered in the free WordService from Devon Technologies.
It always inserts a fixed date_time.
But I have wondering about your problem.
    The Pages User Guide states:
    • To add and format the date and time, place the insertion point where you want the value to appear, and then choose Insert > Date & Time.
To change the date and time format, Control-click the date and time value, choose Edit Date & Time, and then choose a date and time format from the pop-up menu. *If you want the document to always show the current date and time, select “Automatically update on open.”*
Which, if I understand well means that the default setting is that the inserted date_time is a frozen (fixed) one.

  • Lightroom 6 slideshow scrambling photos - how to fix?

This photo is a collage of images just to show what I'm talking about. I've created a slideshow in LR6, and it looks awesome in Preview mode.
However, when I go to Play mode or when I export/save it and watch it in any other player, anywhere from 3-13 of the 20 photos end up looking like this.
The originals are fine, the preview version is fine, and it's not always the same photos if I choose to randomize them.
Is this a known problem? Can I fix it? I didn't have any luck with a search. Thank you!

Hi, I do have exactly the same issue. And I never had that in a previous version of Lightroom. It looks like a bug to me.

  • How to fix saving of metadata changed in LR?

Nine images of a total of 157 images scanned from photographs continue to show the "downward pointing arrow" despite numerous attempts to save metadata using Command-S. Same result using the dialog box seen when the metadata badge is clicked, "The metadata for one or more of these photos has been changed in Lightroom. Save the changes to disk?" > "Save".
When one or more of the nine images are selected and Command-S is pressed, a progress bar shows momentarily ending with "Task completed" and the badge disappears. However, after 1 - 3 seconds, it reappears.
Background: After scanning 157 photographs and importing into LR, typical changes were applied to crop, adjust WB, do minor restoration, etc. All of the files have been successfully exported as JPGs and TIFFs. However, after selecting the entire set and hitting Command-S, nine images continue to display the "metadata has been changed in LR" badge. The images were scanned over a period of several days and the odd nine are scattered throughout. They have no obvious commonalities.
I do not automatically write changes to XMP but instead use the Command-S. The catalog integrity check has been run repeatedly with no issues reported.
Am using a Mac Pro w/4GB and plenty of storage, OS X 10.5.7, and LR 2.4. Relative newbie to Mac but inspected file permissions and they seem in order.
This behavior is not occurring on four other LR catalogs.
    Would appreciate assistance. Thank you,
    Doug

Thank you, Gene, for your reply. I have suspected permissions problems but cannot detect a problem.
In Terminal, the permissions for all the problem files are shown: -rw-r--r--@  However, these are identical to those shown for all the files in the same directory which have accepted updated metadata. My user id is also shown as the owner and I'm logged in under my user id. Finally, the timestamps for the problem files show a later time than the others, reflecting the Save Metadata to Files command directed to only those files.
Here are the listings for two files, the first line is for a problem file, the second line's file shows no problem:

        -rw-r--r--@ 1 doug_user  staff  19349272 Jul  9 17:21 Douglass003.tif
Does this still look like a permissions issue?

  • How to fix messed up timeline-can't view frames

I don't know what I did while working in a CS3 Flash document, but I cannot view the frames up in my timline bar. All I can see is the layers there - they take up the whole area and when I try to grab and drag the timeline to shorten the layers nothing happens. I must have hit something by accident. I need to figure this out quick! Help!

    Hi,
Not many know it, but the frames pallet can be undocked, and used as a floating pallete, just like any other pallete.
You probably UNDOCKED, the frames from the main document and then inadvertently closed it.
You would have done this by, clicking on the small traiangle, against the frame numbers on the top right. and then clicking again on PLACEMENT.
To get the frames pallete back: Just click on WORKSPACE...its usually on the right in the same bar as SCENE, just before the CLAPPER icon...select DEFAULT...or if you made your own WorkSpace, click on that.
    Hope that helps

  • How to Fix the following Encore Error: "Quick Time system error: number = -1"?

Has anyone seen this error before in Encore? Quick Time system error: number = -1 How do you fix it? I get it while burning a DVD. I have the latest version of Encore and the menu I am using was exported from After Effects.
    Thanks so much,
    Heather

When I start Encore I always receive a warning that I do not have Quicktime installed
Since I do not use QT in any way, I ignore the warning and Encore works just fine
I also do not use menus from AE, so there MAY be something to look at
Does Encore work properly if you use one of the built-in menus?

  • How does Revel sync metadata, here: date/time ?

I have many photos uploaded in Revel now but see the sort according to the file date instead of the EXIF exposure date on some of the photos. These were scanned photos. The probable cause is that for these photos I set only a date but no time in the organizer. I suspect that therefore Revel's sort falls back to the file date.
I'd like to fix this for the photos in the organizer. But I did not find a search criteria to find photos w/o a time set or set to "unknown". I have therefore these questions:
    1) is my assumption correct? If yes, will the behavior be fixed?
    2) when I change the photo's time will Revel detect that change? (date is unchanged)
    Thanks

Today I found that the elements 12 catalog already has the wrong sort, after conversion from elements 9

  • How to fix No service after up date ios5 for iPhone 3GS

Update my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5 looks like it up dated fine but now phone has on service how do I fix this.

My iPhone 3gs was doing that after I updated also. I believe I may have fixed mine. I did a backup to iTunes, then I did a reset through iTunes (takes forever) then after that was done I right clicked where it says my phone in iTunes and hit Restore from backup, it is very important that you do not let the computer go to screen saver or to sleep during this process, I eventually had to change my computer's setting for this because it interrupts the process. And voila! It fixed mine, and I got to keep all my media, except the ringtones, they will have to be re set to your contacts individually, if you had them like that in the first place! Hope this helps!!! An now I haven't noticed any irregular battery drainage!

  • How to repair messed-up folder ownership in Time Machine ?

    Hi everyone,
I just reformated the MacBook hard drive using Extended HFS+, journaled partition to get rid of the case-sensitiveness, which is incompatible with just ONE of my softwares. As such, TM partition is formatted as Extended HFS+, journaled and case-sensitive.
I then created a temporary administrator to set everything up (Updates and such), then a second administrator (which is the one I'm using everyday). I didn't activate Time Machine backups, as I wanted to restore everything first, just in case something may go wrong.
As this is my primary work machine, I wanted to restore the "Documents" subfolder first, but Time Machine popped out a dialog saying that I wouldn't be able to see the files newly restored, because I don't have permissions to read and write them.
Indeed, I checked directly in the Time Machine tree on the external hard drive with Apple+I keys, and 'cubytus' was not listed in the permissions.
As far as I remember, I checked ownership in the Terminal, and wanted to change it using the commands:
    sudo su -
[----Now I type my identifiers, and I'm in root mode; I then navigate to the Documents folder in the Time Machine tree I want to restore.---]
    chown -Rv cubytus Documents
The last line is supposed to change every document ownership below this directory to replace it by cubytus instead of Admin2, as well as report every operation performed (I like having some feedback).
Turns out that every verbose line ends in "Permisison denied"....
I can add up the current admin in addition to the original one for each document, but it's very impractical since I have thousands of small files. Changing ownership is still the way to go.
Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for help
Oh, btw..I tried the Disk Utility pemrission repair thing, but it didn't found any problem on the Time Machine partition.

This mis-match is likely to cause trouble in the future. If you have, for example, two files named "FileA" and "filea" in the same folder on the TM drive, and try to restore them to your case-ignorant HD, TM is going to have a problem. I've never tried it, so I can't tell you whether it will overlay the first one it restores with the second, or crash, or what, but it can't be done.
And you may have some of these without realizing it -- if you ever changed a capital to lower-case, or vice-versa, after a file's initial backup, it's a possibility.
Indeed, I checked directly in the Time Machine tree on the external hard drive with Apple+I keys, and 'cubytus' was not listed in the permissions.
No, TM automatically denies everything to everybody, among other things, in it's backups, to keep us mere mortals from messing with them. The original file permissions are kept separately, and TM should restore them along with the files, as they were.
What you're probably seeing is, the user that you're signed-on as won't have those permissions, once TM restores the files. I'd suggest trying the same procedure as your other, or original user -- see if you get the same message.
