HT2731 Old apple Id keeps showing up on my iPhone how do you delete the old I'd?
I had an e mail address with my employer that I used on my I phone for my apple ID and when I retired I no longer have access to that e mail server. I successfully changed my apple ID but a pop up with the old ID comes up on my I phone and I do not know how to stop this pop up. My old password with the old ID doesen't work.
Have any ideas on how to fix this.

It sounds like you restored from an old back-up. Did you back-up just before your software update? It will use your last one and if your last back-up was a ywear old then it will use that one.
In general, if you are getting these messages on your iPhones select logout (when you get that Apple Id request) and then log back in with your newer ID.

Edit > Preferences > Devices, select backup sets to delete. Are you sure that is what you want to do though? You need to have a valid backup of the current state of your device before upgrading in case something goes wrong.

Apple Pay not showing on my Canadian iPhone 6 - I live in the U.S
Hey folks,
I am a U.S citizen currently working here in Canada for a few months. I got my iPhone 6 here in Canada but I use my U.S apple ID and ICloud ID. Phone still doesn't show the feature after I upgraded to the iOS 8.1.
Does it mean I need to have an US iPhone or be in the US to get the US upgrade? or both lol
please let me know and how to fix it.

Change the value in Region from Canada to United States
Then go to the Passbook app and drag the cards down until you see the + symbol
Click the + symbol and the you should see the setup screen.
This will only allow you setup supported cards.
So if you US card is supported see if it works. -

Your Apple ID is used for several services through your iPhone. To replace the previous Apple ID you will need to sign out of it in a few different spots and sign in with the current Apple ID (depending on what Apple ID you choose to use for each individual service). The services you may need to sign out of old Apple ID and into new one could include iCloud, Messages, FaceTime, and iTunes & App Stores. You can see what Apple ID is currently signed in and sign out of it in the following areas: Settings > iCloud, Settings > Messages, Settings > FaceTime, and Settings > iTunes & App Store. The e mail address which is in the setting of my I tune store does not show up when I install apps or update them it shows a different email address how can I delete the e mail which shows up while updating apps & switch to the one already in my settings
All apps include DRM protection that is tied to the Apple ID that was used to download the apps.
This means the apps that need an update were downloaded with the Apple ID you are being prompted for. -

- Note that apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account. -

Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password. -
I just updated my iPhone with the newest update IOS 6.1. My old Apple ID keeps popping up on my iPhone for me to type in the password that I no longer know. All the passwords I type in do not work. I no longer have access to this email which is my old Apple ID. After installing the newest software update my old Apple ID came up to finish configuring. Since I no longer have access to this Apple ID and email account and after trying some passwords I skipped the step. It then said FaceTime, iCloud (which I do not use), and more may not work. I clicked that it was OK since I could not remember the password to my old Apple ID. I then went to my settings to be sure my newer email was my Apple ID by typing in my current Apple ID and password. Also, I went to Manage my Apple ID online and my old Apple ID could not be found. Is it OK I skipped that step in the IOS 6.1 configuration? How do I get my old Apple ID to stop popping up?

my phone ran out of battery as it was updating to iOS 6. Now it is having trouble rebooting. The silver apple logo keeps showing up and fading away. And doing it all over again... What should I do PLEASE help!! My phone is NOT jailbroken.
I should mention, it was on low power as I was using it.

I want to update iCloud account with new apple id but don't know password for old apple id. Plus can no longer receive email at old apple id. How can I delete the current iCloud account on my iPhone if the previously stated conditions exist?

Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

My old Apple ID is on my iPhone, but this has been transferred to a new Apple ID. The iCloud on my phone is requesting the password for the old Apple ID, but this no longer exists. How do I update the iCloud Apple ID on my iPhone? When I try to get the old passwork through forgot my password, the reply is that there is no account that exists.
Try the following....
Go to Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account. Then log in using a different ID. -
I have two apple id's because my hotmail account is no longer active. How can I delete the old one and use or update the new one? Every time I try it won't allow me and now my iPad thinks there are two accounts and they are arguing with each other. Help!
You can't merge accounts or copy content to a different account, so anything that you bought or downloaded via the old account is tied to that account - so any updates that those apps get you will only be able to download via that account. You can change which account is logged in on the iPad via Settings > Store
