I have encountered a problem using my iphone 5 and this is probably a bug it happens when i accidentally deleted an email thread. What happens is that i sent a message immediately after i deleted the message thread of this "person". So i wrote with a new message but then after sending the message, all previous messages are visible again. It looks like it was immediately retrieved without me doing any actions. But then, when this "person" texted back the previous messages are not visible anymore and started a new one. But as i received messages from this "person" knowing my phone is on the person's message thread it pops up a message alert which it shouldn't be. Then i did exit from the messages and noticed that there are unread messages from this "person" which i already read. After like 30 mins or more, my iphone hangs until the apple icon shows up without me restarting it.

I accidentally deleted an entire message thread when I was in my messages. I must've done the edit, delete method because I have searched and searched and the thread is no longer there. I have an iPhone 4s with the 7.1 iOS and it automatically does the backup constantly. Sorry if there was another thread like this but this whole forum thing is a new thing to me and I figured I'd give it a try! Thanks in advance if anyone has any ideas. The other person in the message didn't have an iPhone so they were all strictly SMS texts, if that makes any difference.

The only way to recover this is if you had a backup made of the phone while the thread was on the phone. You can restore the iPhone to that backup and it will bring the message back. However, understand that anything done on the phone since that backup would be lost.

I think FileVault is used to encryp internal hard drive but I wanna encrypt an external hard drive with Mac OS Extended Journaled Encrypted which is completely different!

Hi there. You are using Network Magic, right? You can reconnect them by manual configuration which means you have to open the wifi settings on those devices and connect to your wireless network from there. If it does not work you might want to restart the service for your Network Magic. How? The steps are as follows (I found this from an online website before but I am not sure if it was from purenetworks.com):
1. Open Computer or My Computer.
2. Open drive C
3. Open Program Files
4. Open Pure Networks
5. Open Network Magic
6. Open Support folder
7. Double click serveme
8. Serveme icon appears on the tray. Right click icon and click on StopNMservice. The icon turns red from green.
9. Right click serveme icon and click on DeleteNetworkLib.xml. Right click again and click Force First Run.
10. Restart your computer.
That will restart the service for your NM software.

If you update to iOS 8, you can select that in Settings>Messages>Keep Message and then select your option. If you don't update to iOS 8, you'll need to do it manually.

I have a problem figuring which scenario is my message using. We have this interface which has 2 similar scenarios. The scenarios are actually the same-everything inside it-the only difference is the scenario name. How would I know which scenario is the message using? I tried looking into the trace but I cannot find it there.

As replied in the above posts, U can not create two sender comm channel or receiver determination for same interface from same source. As told, ur objects might have been copied to two scenrios which you have also confirmed.
Scenario name can be treated just as a container to hold the objects logically which belong to one process. It doesnt have any role in the execution of ur process.
You can try to change ur objects in any one scenario & same will be replicatd in other scenario also. So if I m nt wrong, I will conclude that scenario name is jst to combine the objects & doest have ny role in execution of process in XI.

How do I get iPhone to store deleted messages in MobileMe trash?

Here's the scenario: I have a Mac Pro, MacBook and iPhone 4. I use IMAP MobileMe with Mail.app for email while at home, and while I'm away and don't have my MacBook with me, I use the MobileMe web interface. I want all of my deleted messages from these different sources to end up in the same Trash mailbox on the server. I thought I had all of my devices set up to do that, but what's happening now is that when I delete a message from the iPhone, it goes into a folder called "Deleted Messages" in my MobileMe folders list.
On my Macs I have "Store deleted messages on server" checked, and "Erase deleted messages" set to "never". On my iPhone I've set the trash to "On the Server > Deleted Messages (.Mac)". This description appears next to the trash can icon, which I assumed would be where my deleted messages from Mail.app are going. But this doesn't seem to be the case.
Any ideas?

I haven't tried this, but browsing in private browsing (Tools > Start Private Browsing) while doing will probably keep Firefox from storing which sites you visited. Clearing the last hour's history will probably do the trick too.

We find that the message 'Changes will cause the data to be deleted' is misleading and causes a great deal of concern to our users when it appears say when they are just trying to find information and are browsing from one transaction to another. Is there anyway we can get this message amended for certain scenarios at least?

i lost my contacts and i tried to restore from latest back up, but my device synch so i lost this. I have another device with teh same number. could anyone help me if he or she knows how a previous back up, which is not visible in itunes could be retrieved?

i have two iphones, one is used by me and the other by my wife. the second one was having this issue. LOoosing a large number of contacts but not all of them.
i had performed a back up over her phone on august, but i ma not able to find it.

I thought i was resetting my son's iphone 4 so that I could use it. But I seem to have erased his icloud/apple id and all of his data from his new phone too. His Apple ID doesnt work and cant be accessed as it now says it is disabled. I have tried the iforgot.apple.com website without success and have no idea how to rectify. I have requested a password change to his email address but that is not working either.

That sounds confusing. First off, don't be too worried. There's practically no way to actually delete an Apple ID or it's purchase history. You should be able to get to it back somehow. Secondly, that's likely something that you'll need to talk to a real person on the phone for since it likely requires you to explain that you need access on behalf of your son, (who probably just set some security questions or an email address that you didn't know he put in.) Just call the appropriate AppleCare phone line (800-APL-CARE in the USA, or see the link below for other countries) and tell them you want to talk about an iCloud account security question.
