I bought an Aspple TV at an Apple store in the USA (110 v) and now am in Switzerland (220v) ans so far afraid to plug it in to the 220 socket. Will it work okay without an external 220 v converter?

yeah and the connector in the appletv is std also used by my ps2 and old cdplayer so you need just get a new cable then you don't need to use a plug converter

Just bought an apple ipad2 from the USA. However, I never gave a thought to the different voltage. USA is110v, uk is240nv. On my charger it states 100-240. Is it ok rouse this. Thanks.

You will need an adapter for the charger to cover the different plug type but otherwise all should be well. The iPad is universal and the range of100 - 240v covers you.

Unable to open iPhoto after upgrade to 9.1.3 (bought on apple store)

Hello all
I am unable to open my iPhoto after upgrading it with version 9.1.3 , bought in the apple store.
The searching icon never stops.
I trieded to synchro with my iPad (where I have a backup of all my pfoto's) but the system tells me that all photo's are still on my Mac.
Can someone help me out, because I am rather a rookie in this kind of things

Try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and try to create a new, test library. If you can then then your library is the culprit.
If that's the case make a temporary, duplicate copy of your library (Finder ➙ File ➙ Duplicate) and apply the three fixes in order as necessary.
Fix #1
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your HD/User/Home()/ Library/Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your HD/User/Home()/Library /Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #3
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Several months ago, my wife bought as a present an iPod and Logitech mm50 speakers at an Apple Store in the Mall nearby. Unfortunately, the receipt is long gone, if she even had one. And part of the problem is that I can't find any Belkin composite cables for connecting an iPhone to a TV, either on the Apple Store or the Belkin site. The closest I found is this Belkin video cable, which doesn't specify exactly what kind of connection it is.
For the most relevant assistance, you've got to post in the iPhone forum and specify the cable by providing a link to exactly which cable you're using.

Where did you purchase this. The US phones do not come with the SIM removal tool anymore. They haven't for some time now. I'm not even sure it comes with any of the devices anymore. You can just straighten out a paper clip and do the same thing.
