    Hello,
    My iPhone is broken.
I would like to edit my contacts on my computer.
Is it possible as I already synchorised it with my computer via iTunes?
    What is the procedure?
    Thanks in advance

In iTunes if you have your contacts synced to Address Book just open address book on your computer and start editing.

  • Will Apple cover my factory unlocked iphone 3GS anywhere in the world?

    Hello,
I'm planning on buying a factory unlocked iphone 3GS directly from the Apple Store in Hong Kong.
Will Apple cover my iphone with the warranty worldwide or only in Hong Kong?
    Thank you.

What I meant to say is that technically, hardware-wise, almost all iphones 3GS are the same (I believe the models in mainland China don't have GPS?).
It's no WiFi in China. GPS used to be illegal in Egypt, but they changed the law recently.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I suppose that the carrier lock is a software lock, which can be removed (we've all heard about it), but gets reversed once you update to a new OS version.
Carriers can ask Apple to unlock particular phones. The next time the iPhone is restored via iTunes, new firmware will be downloaded from Apple and will display a message saying it has been unlocked. It will stay unlocked if updated. Unofficial unlocks (which can not be done on current iPhones) will re-lock if the iPhone is updated.
I know it is the way it is, but I believe most of you would agree that if you buy a telephone, you shouldn't be forced to go with one carrier or another. That is why when I pay for an unlocked phone, I pay much more, go get the freedom (without hacks) to choose the carrier I want (where in contrast I pay much less for calls and internet than with the exclusive iphone carrier).
It would be much easier for Apple if all iPhones were unlocked, and the same in all countries, but the carriers make a fortune from their exorbitant roaming charges, so where the country's laws allow, insist that Apple not make any unlocked iPhones available in their countries.
By the way, MMS is not something most people use. There are some statistics on the internet about the ratio of SMS to MMS and it was something like 10 to 1.
All the 3G and 3GS iPhones are capable of MMS, but the carriers have to support it.

  • When is the Unlocked Iphone 5 releasing in the US???

I have been waiting since 3 months to buy an Unlocked Version of the Iphone 5, if someone from apple just tells me when it releases?, that would be great.
I am really finding it hard to manage my work and studies without a smart phone so i want to buy the best asap.
I dont want to buy from other countries, i know Unlocked is released in other countries too...

The reason you're having trouble getting an unlocked iPhone 5 is that the U.S. carriers operate proprietary networks and bully the manufactures preventing unlocked options for a period of time.  The FCC needs to step in and stop this practice.  Its ridiculous to think that one has to buy phones over and over if you must change cell carriers.  If a carrier overloads their network and you cant make calls or get incredibly slow internet service then you have to live with the poor service or spend the money on another phone. I actually experienced this issue.
The reality is that the phones are capable of working on all networks. Its a policy and database that keeps it locked to a vendor. The vendors will try to convince you that the phone is specific to their network. Yes, each vendor has specific network specifications defined in the phone software, but this can easily be changed to the vendors specific specifications.  The iPhone has the hardware to support all of the US carriers.  T the best of my knowledge Apple is not dedicating a manufacturing line for each vendor with specific cellular radios for each.  It wouldn’t make economic sense.
Can you imagine what it would be like if you purchased a laptop or tablet and it was locked into a specific WIFI network.  Oh you can only run this laptop on Cable Company wireless.   There is no difference.  The cell carrier should lock the customer into their service by providing a discount for 2 years of service.  If their performance fails then the customer should have a way to exit form their contract.
If you really want to change this poor business practice, then go online and file a formal web based complaint with the FCC and FTC.  If enough people complain, a law will be put in place to force fair business practices.
    FCC Complaint Link:

    FTC Complaint Link:

Keep pushing back. If enough people complain, this will change.

  • Once I receive my Network Access Code(N.A.C.) for iphone 5 what are the next steps I follow to unlock my phone from vodafone to use on another network???

Once I recieve my Network Access Code(NAC) for my iPhone 5, what are the next steps I follow to unlock it from vodafone to use on another network???
I have my other nano sim ready and waiting to port my number to it, but im just waiting on vodafone to email me the NAC code, which i checked up that I was eligible for!!!

  •  Will an unlocked iPhone 5 work on the Verizon network?

Will an unlocked iPhone 5 work on the Verizon network? I know this question is probably premature, I don't think apple has mentioned anything about it yet, but I saw that past unlocked iPhones (4 and 4S) would not work on Verizon. I'm a Verizon customer and I want to keep my unlimited data plan, the only way to do this is buy a iPhone at retail, but from what I saw regarding the 4 and 4S I may not be able to do this. I did read that the iPhone 4S is being made in three distinctive models, 1 with a CDMA network and 2 others with varied GSM - LTE networks. I'm hoping this means that an unlocked iPhone 5S can now run on the Verizon network. Any ideas if I'm correct? Thanks.

Honestly I'm not convinced to jump to sprint so quickly. I am monitoring my data as it is, I'm a heavy data user as I watch a lot of movies from Netflix Hulu plus crackle etc. the flip side of this is that I do most of this on my iPad, which I have currently unlimited data on, so I can still get by without unlimited data on my cell, it's more of me not wanting to lose what I have. But thanks for all the info. I'm secretly hoping that apple has redone the unlocked iPhones but I wont lose any sleep over wishful thinking. I'm just quite anal I guess lol. Thanks again

  • How do I unlock an iphone 5 with Sprint. The SIM is in and Sprint gave me the unlock code, but what are the steps to unlock it?

    How do I unlock an iphone 5 with Sprint 15.1 at IOS 7.0.6 IMEI 99 000320 012095 0 .
The SIM is in and Sprint gave me the unlock code, but what are the steps to unlock it?

There is no such thing as an unlock code.   Sprint may have processed the unlock, and then requested you restore the iPhone using iTunes to complete it. But that's it. There is no code to enter, and nowhere to enter it any way.

Connect the iPhone to your Mac with its USB cable and launch iPhoto.  In iPhoto you can select which files to upload into the library.  Once in the library export them out of iPhoto to a folder on the Desktop via File ➙ Export ➙ File Export  with Kind=Original. That will give you copies of the videos in the folder for use outside of iPhoto.
If you want to bypass importing into iPhoto try launching Image Capture and manually upload the selected video files to the folder of your choice.

  • HT201328 I have an iPhone4 from softbank in Japan, I want to use any carrier sim here in Philippines, what if Softbank in Japan is not offering unlocking iPhone. What can I do?

I have an iPhone4 from softbank in Japan, I want to use any carrier sim here in Philippines, what if Softbank in Japan is not offering unlocking iPhone. What can I do?

All you can do is sell your iPhone to someone in Japan and buy another iPhone. Only the carrier can authorize unlocking, and Softbank does not unlock iPhones.
    Regards.

If you are a gaijin (I'm a gaijin too) never take a iphone in Japan. Your phone will turn to be nothing more than a paper weight once you are out of Japan. I recently moved to UK and my iPhone 4s which bought from AU is now completely useless. AU does not unlock the phone, there is no option in the net to get the same unlocked too. So I decided to advise those gaijins in Japan to never waste your money spending on iPhones in Japan and if possible never get trapped into the services of AU.

  • Unlocked iphone 4s available at the first week of november?

i'm going to new york next week, is the unlocked iphone 4s available at the first week of november? hoping the answer is yes!

All Apple has said is "Coming in November"...that could be anytime between 11/01 & 11/30/2011.

  • Why do unlocked iPhones get locked to the first carrier SIM?

I wanted to buy an unlocked iPhone 5s in the UK. I was told at Phone4U that it will get locked to the first carrier SIM which I put in!!! And I will not be able to switch!!
I am an international student and travel a lot to my home country, isn't there any way I could buy an unlocked iPhone which remains unlocked, providing me flexibility to switch carriers ??

That has been an ongoing issue with "unlocked" iPhones from CarPhones and the place you mention...the iPhones are not unlocked in the true sense.  They are setup to lock to the first sim inserted for activation.  There really isn't away around this, either.  Only the Apple store sells truly unlocked iPhones.

I would think, Twins1995, that if we are having the problem, others are as well. Hopefully, Apple will shortly issue a follow-up software release to fix the problem. Or is that just wishful thinking on my part.
It would be helpful, if there were some kind of work-around in the interim, so we can use our devices. Pretty frustrating when you consider that all of the hardware and software is produced by Apple.
