HT4847 Can I save 6.5GB of video/film (its actually a fitness dvd) onto my iCloud?

I have this quite large set of downloaded video and I cannot get it to save onto iPad (as it is too large -I have 16GB iPad 2) and I was wondering/ hoping there was a way to save it on my iCloud (where i have bought additional storage) and then watch it using iPad, rather than laptop (which takes a long time to load up!!!)
Any help would be great as my plan was to buy keynote and then make 12 presentations each with one video!!!
Help!

Well that's quite depressing, but I appreciate you letting me know so quickly!!
Any ideas how I could do this, other than buying a bigger iPad!!? I'm being told Microsoft SkyDrive might work and if i download the app? Possibility do you think?
Thanks again!

  • How can I save an Adobe Flash video to my hardrive?

My son was recently featured in a TV segment, and the link is to a flash video on the station's website. How can I save this so we'll have this after the link is no longer valid?

You may not be able to. Most news networks use scripting to prevent downloads of their video feeds (copyirght laws and stuff)
You can try Ant Video Downloader for Firefox (it's NOT available for IE, but it IS for Firefox and Chrome)
If it doesn't work, contact news station. That's what I do. My brother is on the news from time to time bbecause of his work and they simply provide me with embed code to the videos so I can put them on his website. Here's why I mention this: I was told by the ABC, CBS and NBC affiliates that they NEVER delete those videos. Only an act of god destroying their servers will ever remove them, and even then they have backups.

  • Ask your question.how can I save my pics and videos

Have ipad 4 and would like to save my pics and videos of my grandchildren .  How can this be done and if so how can I do it.please explain in easy format as this is all new to me.   I have taken so many of these that I cannot take any more.
                             Thanks Jim

It's really a very simple process and the long and short of it is that you connect your iPad to your computer with the cable, and launch whatever app you would use to import photos from a camera card. The detailed instructions are here.

This can also be done with apps that Work over WiFi. Here is one such app. I have this app and it is very easy to use.

  • How can I SAVE an online news video on Firefox Version 4.42.oo or 3.5.1, (WIN XP System?)

I am trying to SAVE an online news video of an interview with
me by a local TV station. I only have dial-up svc, so it takes at least 30 min to download in choppy segments, Once it finishes, I can watch it in full, no problem, but I can't figure out how to '''SAVE it to My Documents (or possibly to a blank DVD).'''
Will my Firefox Version allow me to do this, or is there some
special feature/extension that I can install?
Would I have to look for some other "free software" program
    online? Thanks!

Thank you for all the details on what you already did.
it seems that you already did a clean install, but try again all the steps outlined in https://forums.adobe.com/thread/928315

  • Can I save a Flash 9 video from a TV news website?

Is this possible? Don't see any options for saving to disc when I ctrl click on the video. My apologies if this is in the wrong forum. Thanks for your help.
    Roger

Flash runs in the browser and there is no click to save feature however it is quite simple a couple of ways. In Safari you can often find the file (FLV file usually) in the activity window and click to download it. However that often fails to work. In Firefox you can get a number of addins/extensions such as DownloadHelper, unPlug and others that basically do it for you.

  • Can you crop the length of videos filmed in the camera roll?

                     /\

    Yes, from the Users Guide:
Trim a video: While viewing a video, tap the screen to display the controls. Drag either end of
the frame viewer at the top of the video, then tap Trim.
Important: If you choose Trim Original, the trimmed frames are permanently deleted from
the original video. If you choose “Save as New Clip,” a new trimmed video clip is saved in your
Camera Roll album and the original video is unaffected.

  • How can I save previews for old projects, while burning the project to DVD?

I'll admit, I haven't read the user manual cover to cover (or screen to screen for the electronic version), and haven't spent hours combing the discussions here, but I have searched for all the relevant keywords I can think of and can't find a concise answer to this question.
I get the basic idea of Vaults (I think), but haven't found much info about long term storage of projects. I'm fulltime freelance, but not super busy, and I can easily generate 100,000 images each year. I don't have the cash to be keeping all of these images in Aperture projects on external hard drives for eternity, and I'd be surprised if anyone else does. Good thing I'm not a medium format digital shooter producing 50GB each day huh?
I remember seeing a clip of a photographer 2 or 3 years ago discussing the differences between storing digital and film images. He was making the point that throwing away files you don't think you'll need again can be a mistake, citing a shot he had of Clinton and Lewinsky together, before Clinton and Lewinsky were news. "If I'd been shooting digital, that image wouldn't exist today". It was a great pic, and when that whoel scandal erupted, it made him alot of money.
So at present I'm storing every image I take in finished projects on DVD trusting that in the future I'll be looking for a shot of someone I may have shot 5, 10, 15 years ago.
I caught part of a discussion that talked about keeping the preview files for all the images (and subsequent versions) for each project. I'd love to be able to keep lo-res previews/copies of everything I've shot to date, and have them immediately accessible on my hard drive, while my full size projects are safely stored on DVD, taking up space on a bookshelf rather than on my hard drive. Loading 10 DVD's worth of projects to see what's inside them is a headache I'd like to avoid if possible, in favour of instantly checking out lo-res previews to look a shot up.
Is there an easy way to burn a completed project to DVD, but keep only the (lo res, lo size) previews on my hard drive?

    hello, kiwi
quote: "Is there an easy way to burn a completed project to DVD, but keep only the (lo res, lo size) previews on my hard drive?"
    yes.
    maybe,...
    1. you might think of making DVD backups first prior to importing the photos into Aperture. "Store Files: In their current location" once in Aperture make low rez Previews, and export finished Project.
    or,
    2. bring in the photographs to hard drive first prior to importing the photos into Aperture. "Store Files: In their current location" once in Aperture make low rez Previews, and export finished Project.
the low rez Previews will stay in Aperture but the high quality Versions will be exported onto DVDs and gone from the hard drive (if you delete the originals).
another way would be to export small about 50-70 pixel wide high quality jpegs to a folder on your Desktop and import & keep these in Aperture Library as a reference. make metadata to show where the original Project DVDs are stored and DVD filing system used.

  • Can't transfer a slo-mo video from iPhone 6 to PC

I love my iPhone 6, but it has some quirks. Here is one of them.  The slo-mo feature is amazing at 240 frames per second.  However, it is not good if I can only view the show motion video on the phone itself.  I have tried iCloud, Verizon Cloud, and Google Drive.  I also have an app that directly transfers files via wi-fi.  None of these work.  They either show the video at normal speed or stutter through the slow motion portion of the video - probably due to the player not being able to deal with the 240 fps.  I have done some web searching and have learned a little.  As I understand it, the video file somehow informs the player (I've tried Windows Media, Quick Time, and Irfan View among others) that it should play the slow motion area at the recorded rate of 240 frames per second, yielding a normal playback appearance.  Some of the solutions offered have been to upload it to you tube and then download it from there, load it into a video editor and set it to play everything at 30 frames per second, and other Rube Goldberg methods.  I just want to transfer it from my iPhone and have it play correctly without any editing.  Is there a player that can do this?  Or, is there an easy way to get standard video players to play at a fixed speed and not switch to the fast speed for slo-mo?
Is this the appropriate forum to ask this question?  My carrier is Verizon and I purchased the iPhone 6 through Verizon.  I will try posting this on the Apple forum.  I know that a lot of users are having this same problem.

    Weth,
Thanks for suggesting truslomo to me.  It appears to be just what I need.  I am able to use it to convert my slow motion video and then transfer it to my PC.  It plays smoothly.  However, I'm puzzled about how it actually works.  I was able to produce a slow motion video from on I recorded at normal speed.  It must use fill-in frames between the 30 fps of the original video.  The playback is a little jerky.  Also, truslomo has 2 options:  a turtle (120 fps>) or a snail (240 fps?).  Only the turtle is available when converting normal video.  I need to take more videos (or write to the author) to understand that it is really using all the 240 fps to produce the final video.
You also suggested uploading to You Tube.  That is not something I want to do.  You Tube is public and I like to do a lot of testing of different techniques.  Having to upload each video, then download it, and finally delete it from You Tube is too many steps for me.  Also, it's one more site I have to give my email address to.
Thanks again for suggesting truslomo.  It's too bad that Apple has put that feature into the phone.

  • Why I can't import o sync my videos made with my IPhone 4S?

I can't import o sync my videos made with my IPhone 4S. Have try ICloud Photo Stream, IPhoto, Image Capture, Drang and Drop, Dropbox, also turning it on and off, nothing seams to work. Can someone please give a efective solution? Thanks

The iPhoto app (version 9.4.3) on my iMac (with OS X, version 10.8.4) no longer imports videos from my iPhone 5 (with the latest version of iOS).  This problem arose suddenly roughly one month ago.  Whenever I connect my iPhone to the iMac, all my photos are imported without a problem, but I get the following error message for all of the videos on the iPhone:
I get the same error message when my children try to import videos from their 5th gen iPod touches.  The videos simply do not get imported and they remain on my iPhone anmd the iPod touches.  Strangely, I can send the videos via iMessage or email to other iPhones/iPod touches and they play with no problem on the recipient iDevices.
Again, this problem began suddenly roughly one month ago - I was able to import videos from my iPhone 5 without incident before it suddenly stopped working - and I am stumped at how to correct this problem.
I do not have any issues with storage capacity on my iMac, so that possible explanation can be ruled out.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

  • Can't save my raw file as jpg in editor?

after I'm done working on my raw photo in raw editor, I then go to the "open image" button and work on it in editor.  When I go to save it as a jpg, and close it out and go back to organizer, I get the broken image frame and my picture is gone.  I have 6.5 raw converter and elements 9.  All updates are up to date. I have no clue why I can't save as a jpg after that.  Even my learning DVD says to do it that way.  Anyone have any ideas what I can do?

If working from raw as 16 bit you need to change to 8 bit to save as jpeg.

  • I canno't connect my iphone with a wire to my pc. How can I save the backup on my pc?

    Hello.
I can't connect my iphone with a wire to my pc as the connection slot is damaged. How can I save the backup of my iphone on my pc? I already installed icloud; but it doesn't work.
Thank you for your help and support.

Your only option is iCloud, to back up to the PC using WiFi, your device has to be connected to the PC at least once using the USB cable, to set this up.
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

  • Problem getting HD video to play properly on standard DVD - dropping frames

Maybe someone can tell me the proper workflow I should be using here, but for the life of me can not get my beautiful HD video to play properly on standard DVD's. Footage looks choppy, ie dropping frames.
1.) I've tried editing in iMovie 08', exporting to a 720P Quicktime file (original is 1080p), then loading into iDVD as well as Toast 8. Both play in my standard DVD player like crap (almost like a strobe light is being applied).
2.) I have also loaded the source footage into Toast 8 directly and it also looks choppy.
My source are .mov files loaded from my Panasonic HDC-SD5 into iMovie 08 for editing.
If anyone can tell me what kind of a workflow I need to do in order to get my video onto a standard dvd and play properly, I'd love to hear it.
    Thanks
    Paul

    Hello ipaw,
I think the problem here is a format mixup (I'm no codec pro though)
+1.) I've tried editing in iMovie 08', exporting to a 720P Quicktime file (original is 1080p), then loading into iDVD as well as Toast 8. Both play in my standard DVD player like crap (almost like a strobe light is being applied).+
From what I know AVCHD (the recording format of the HDC-SD5) can be either 1080i or 720p, so my guess is that you shot and edited in 1080i then exported to 720p. The p stands for progressive and, IMHO, that is where the strobe effect comes from.
To go from an interlaced format to progressive (p) you'll need to de-interlace, and that needs some smart software (and skill to find the right settings). On top of that, your source is a highly compressed flavor of MPEG-4, which you're converting to progressive HD.
Why not edit in AVCHD and send the project directly to iDVD?
    hope this helps

It is a hard one.. laptops with small drives are a pain.
What you need is a home media server.
Some people use a PC running itunes for cost.. but that is nothing like as good as using a Mac mini.. they make great little HTPC device.. you can plug in large hard disks and store all your files and media. And share it with the network.. Read up apple's instructions on home sharing.
    https://www.apple.com/au/support/homesharing/
For cost you can buy a mini from 2011 or 2012.. I would not recommend earlier ones.. the advantage of 2012 is they have USB3 ports. But you will pay more for them.. new mini is not as useful.. they have soldered in memory and you cannot upgrade.. the old mini was the most easily modified mac in the whole range. Uses little power and can be bought for a $300US for a good one second hand.. maybe less.
