I want to sync my reminders and my calender from my iPhone 4 to my work computer (iMac)
How can I do this though iCloud without syncing my photos as well?

Just recently, I have been unable to receive icloud email on my iphone and new ipad3. Although, I am a loyal apple consumer, I feel a bit let down. Reminders on iCloud, my iPad mini, MacAir, and Mac mini all sync well. However my iPhone will not sync Reminders with iCloud. It appears to be setup identically to the iPad??

Reminders syncs well with my iPad mini, MacAir, and Mac mini. However my iPhone 5 Reminders does not. Items I enter on one of the devices show-up on iCloud and the other devices except for my iPhone 5. Vice versa if I enter a new item on my iPhone it does not show up on the other devices or iCloud. Essentially the same things happens when I complete an item. When I review how iCloud and Reminders is setup on the iPad and iPhone it appears to be the same.

First check that all your settings are correct, that reminders syncing (calendars on a computer) is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the reminders you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by checking in accounts on an iOS device by tapping the icon with three lines in the top left corner of the screen, or the right side panel by clicking on the small triangle to the right of the word 'Reminders' in iCal on a computer), non iCloud reminders will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your reminders are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking reminders syncing (calendars syncing on a computer) in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling reminders syncing.

How do I only sync the last 18 months of emails to my mac mail on the macbook? It is currently retrieving all emails from the four accounts I am syncing to and filling up space on my macbook. I can't work out how to set a limit.

Imap is designed to synchronize your mail client with the mail server, this the normal result.

If you don't have a backup of your pc, you will have to use a third party solution to get your music back. Wiki has a [comparison of ipod managers|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparisonof_iPodManagers] here which you can look through to see if any meet your needs. I have used [CopyTrans|http://www.copytrans.net/copytrans.php] successfully but I did purchase it so I don't know what the free version supports.
You can [download purchased Apps for free|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519] but that won't work for music, movies, etc.

How to share reminders with iCloud users ?

Hello,
With Lion it was possible to share a "Reminder" through iCal to members of iCloud...
I unfortunately did not find this essential feature in the new Mountain Lion Reminder Application.
I cannot immagine Mountain lion would be a downgrade on that very useful workgroup feature...
The only, temporary, work around is to use the web version of iCloud calendar which still permits sharing of Reminders with iCloud members.
Am I missing something ?

I synced. All my music disappeared. Now it will only sync my apps and not my music. Is something wrong with the port on my ipod, the USB cord, or Itunes?On Itunes it says I still have all my music. :(

I synced my ipod to my computer and all my music disappeared. I tryed resyncing it and it would only sync my apps and not my music. I cant add music to my ipod. I something wrong with the USB port in the IPOD, the USB Cord, or ITUNES itself. Itunes still shows that all my music is there on my ipod. Itunes is recognizing that my ipod is connected, but it doesnt recognize that theres no music on my ipod anymore. Im so sad. Someone please help me. I miss my music.

The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases.
The ipod is not a storage/backup device. It simply mirrors the selected content of your computer.
As the music came from your computer in the first place, it should still be there and in your backup copy of your computer.

Sync reminders with IOS devices

Since upgrading to OSX Lion and IOS5 on Iphone and Ipad, I am able to sync reminders using Icloud between IOS devices, but not my Mac.

Hmmm. I do believe that Apple has set it up so that tasks sync in reminders in my iOS device, so that would be something to do with Apple, don't you think?

Sync Calendar with Google but Reminders with iCloud

I haven't upgraded to Mountain Lion yet, but I'm hoping someone can give me a good answer on this.
Currently I have an iPhone 4S (latest iOS) and a MacBook Pro running 10.7 / Lion (latest updates).
I sync Reminders via iCloud but not the Calendar... I still sync the Calendar with Google Calendar because I prefer it.
I want to carry on doing this in Mountain Lion but having read reviews and seen screenshots like this one it seems as though Calendars and Reminders are now part of the the same switch / toggle and therefore have to be done the same way.
Can anyone tell me if you can sync Reminders and Calendars independently in Mountain Lion?

BUT Don't forget to Sync All Events. This seemed to fix the syncing of missing items. Kinda found it by looking at all the options. Also remember that Microsoft ActiveSynce (Exchange) is no longer supported for free by Google.

IOS 6.1.2 updated- tried to Sync contacts with iCloud- All contacts gone

Help. I just updated the IOS to latest: 6.1.2 then decided to backup contacts on iCloud. When 'Merged' all contacts from phone are gone. Then I went on iCloud and the contact list there was also EMPTY. Strange enough the calendar and Notes backup were all there, but NOT contacts. I tried turning off the iCloud, etc- but can not get my contact list back--- HELP. Is this a clitch with the new IOS??

My iCloud account is set up in settings. If the iCloud backup doesn't backup my contacts why is there an option to turn contacts on or off in the iCloud account? And how are they "only synced if you had your icloud account in the mail/contact settings" if icloud doesnt backup contacts? I don't think I understand that part of your response.

If you enable it in iCloud, it should sync atuomatically. Make a backup of it before changing anything.

I suspect the message is referring to you having too many devices associated with the Apple ID you are using for iCloud. You can have a maximum of 10 devices associated with an Apple ID, 5 of which can be computers. This article explains how to remove a device from your Apple ID: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627.

Sounds like it's a problem with the Acrobat settings. Did you set them to the same resolution?

IPad can't sync contacts with iCloud

I need some help.... I have an iMac running Mtn Lion (10.8.2) and an iPad3 (6.0.1) and I'm trying to sync the two in iCloud. Contacts are giving me a headache. I've got the contacts into iCloud so I went to iTunes, clicked on the iPad and went to "info". Thought everything was OK but no contacts (actually there are a couple) on the IPad. Went back to iTunes and clicked on the iPad. went to "info" and now there is no box to check next to "Sync Contacts" and the message in the box says "Your contacts are being synced with you iPad over the air from iCloud" and "Over-the-air sync settings can be changed on your iPad." My contacts are syncing (iPad) with iCloud and I can't figure out to get the check box back so I can choose to sync my contacts. I know there are other threads out there with similar questions but I couldn't find anything that helped me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
