To use Photo Stream, you will need iPhoto 9.2 at least. This is a major upgrade from iPhoto 7.1.5 and you will have to buy it.

New computer but Photostream does not work. Are you getting this messages in iPhoto? If so try the following (again?):
Log out of iCloud in the System/iCloud preference pane and disable Photo Stream in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane. Then log back in and re-enable, respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

I have windows 8, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with anything, but i figured maybe 11.1.4 just doesn't like 8. soooo.. i went onto my computer settings and uninstalled anything and everything made my apple and then reinstalled itunes 11.1.3 and it now reads my ipod nano happy day thanks apple for making something that you can't help me with at all

Using Photo Stream is the same as putting photos on iCloud? Not sure of the terminology?
PS is part of iCloud. PS requires iPhoto 9.2 or later. Other iCloud features have different requirements

I recently upgraded my OS to Lion 10.7.4. I also just upgraded from a 1st Generation Time Capsule to a 4th Generation Time Capsule. I have an Airport Express (Version A1264) that I formerly used to extend my wireless network. Airport Express no longer connects to my network. I have downloaded Airport Utility 5.6 to try and configure, but with no luck.
TC first gen was not simultaneous dual band. So.. it's probably best to factory reset your extreme and then tell it to extend again.

My itunes library has organically grown from more than one itunes account (all paid for by me) but all now on a separate computer. If I upgrade to iTunes match will I have to pay for each account or just once, for the computer?
No. Provided the computer that you use to upload / match your Songs is authorised to play all of the Songs all works well - once complete you can download Song files that will play on your libraries / other computers without each computer having to be authorised.

I utilize WIFI sync to sync all my information....however the photos don't sync wirelessly...is that because I have version iPhoto '09 8.1.2 ? if I upgraded can I wirelessly sync over wifi or can you only use Photo Stream to synch photos and you can't do it over wifi sync?

No. For Photo Stream you'll need iPhoto 9.4 or later. This Apple document gives the minimum system requirements for iCloud and Photo Stream: iCloud: System requirements

To confirm, al songs are already in your iTunes library of current computer, and they all play using iTunes (on the computer)?
And you are saying all the songs you purchased from the iTunes Store can be synced to the nano without any problems? But NONE of the other songs (that are NOT from the iTunes Store) can be synced to the nano, or SOME of them? -

You are using iPhoto '09, and Photo Stream requires iPhoto '11 or Aperture 3, so you have to purchase iPhoto '11 from the App Store.
Before purchasing, open Finder, select Applications in the sidebar, and delete iPhoto. Then, open App Store and purchase iPhoto. After being downloaded and installed, make a backup of your iPhoto library in a different folder: iPhoto will update your library, and if this process fails, you will lose all your pictures -

Hey Ho chaps, i have been having a right merry go round today, simply helping a lady upgrade from Snow Leopard to Mavericks so that she can use Photo Stream on her new iPhone 4S
it has NOT helped that she didnt know what her computers password was etc. but i do NOW have Mavericks installed and it is currently Indexing for Searches !

This lady was told by the local Apple Store when she got the iPhone that to get Photo Stream on her Mac Book Pro she would have to upgrade her Snow Leopard to at least LION, which would have cost her £15 !!, but to pay for iPhoto ???? when it should come pre-installed !
However today, she found that LION is no longer available on the App Store or anywhere else for that matter !.
So she got MAVERICKS for free and let me take her Lap Top home with me to Backup Snow Leopard and Install Mavericks.\
Only to find she gotta pay to get a suitable version of iPhoto for PHOTO STREAM !!!

iPhoto 11 is a marketing name for iPhoto 9
iPhoto 09 is a marketing name for iPhoto 8
So, what has she got.
iPhoto 11 is around a while and early versions of it run on 10.6, 10.7 and 10.8. So it's quite possible that a machine that came with 10.6 and iPhoto 11 would have had all these features as the app was updated. But if that's iPhoto 09 then you need to purchase. -

y iPad2 is frozen, I am trying to download the upgrade software but fails after a while, how can I solve the issue. I have not upgraded the iPad 2 since I bought it.
Try and force iPad into Recovery Mode:
1. Turn off iPad
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad
