HT6114 thanks a bunch Apple..why not give me the option to save the Mavericks installation file instead of automatically deleting it

I live out in the country and have slow broadband. The download took a few minutes short of 12 hours. I have 3 Macs to upgrade to Mavericks and read that I could copy the installation file to an external drive and use that to upgrade the others.
Before the first installation, I checked the Downloads folder for the file but couldn't see it. I though ok, I'll run the install and look for it afterwards. Still couldn't find it afterwards so have googled and found that the installation file is deleted automatically after the installation. Bloody brilliant. I now have another 12 hour download to run.

If Apple were to bring up a dialog explaining all the consequences of running the installer and asking for your confirmation of each one, that would be frustrating and confusing. Most people have one Mac, they install the OS and it is not needed again. It just takes up space. If you want to create an installer disk, there are instructions for doing so.
Congratulations. You have learnt how the installer works through your own experience! All it cost you was your time. Not all experience is so easily gained.

HT1926 Why can't I download the itunes installer file to my iPhone?

It is required to run on my PC inorder to use my iPhone as an internet connection!!! *** Apple spend hundreds on the latest greatest brick and it still ***** very unhappy 5s (s is apparently for SUCKER) owner.
I use my phone as a hotspot and I recently had to restore my windows computer, thus deleting the itunes program and installer... Sooooo I figure no big deal the iPhone shows up in windows 8 with a drive labeled "internal storage" why can I not simply download the windows installer file to that folder on my iPhone and run it on my PC ( much like a very over priced thumb drive) but no sir apple prohibits it's iPhone from downloading .exe files to anywhere on itself through safari ***???? Yes I can go to any public library and download it to a thumb drive in the morning but what to do all night???? ..... I got it vent about the infinite ways the control misers at Apple find to make the simplest of tasks next to impossible... Will once again be an android user in the bear future.... Expense is justified in defense if common sense... So to you apple I give -1 of 5 stars for overbearing control freak power hungry activities!!!!

It's a phone, not a thumb drive. If you want to download an .exe file to a thumb drive, then buy one. We are not Apple here - we are just users like you, and this is a user to user technical help forum. So, if you have a technical question please ask it.

Thanks for the reply. I went back to check if there was a history in windows (Event Viewer) but could not locate it in Win7. The only updates that were in the Apple Updater window were the Quicktime and ITunes. Had I let the Realplayer continue on its own, it would have installed the Google Chrome and other apps. I let it finish installing and then removed the entire program. I do not remember checking or seeing anything saying that realplayer was being downloaded until after a reboot was requested from the ITunes Update Installer.
I just thought it was strange since I do not use Realplayer and have not downloaded any software for it.
I am on a corporate PC with a pretty thick firewall, but something may have slipped through.

Someone I entrusted my computer to for repairs decided to keep it. all my personal information was on the computer. the peron has been using my credit card information o make ourchases from the apple store. If I do not have a credit card on the account on my iphone, I am unable to updatw it or my ipad. After persuading the apple store people to delete the last credit card info, I had to put aother credit card on the iphone to be able to update the software and thevapps. now that card is being used by the person o download war games on the new card. I cannot find any of his downloaded games on any of my devices. I am close to giving up my iphone and ipad. the last time i called the apple store, theynwould not give me the IP address of the omputer the games were downloaded to. they only gave me the name of my ipad. anyone could name thir ipad according to the name on mynipad. I have found the Apple store less than friendly about security matters like this. Great, so now I have to airplay it by linking my computer to my Apple TV and then the movie has to buffer! So, all that time I spent downloading the HD video has to technically "download" again by buffering. The more I use Apple TV, the more I feel like this item was not created by Apple. I don't even use it for what I originally purchased it for. If I would have known that anytime I wanted to sync a movie from my computer to Apple TV by using airplay that it would have to buffer the movie, I would have never ever ever ever ever purchased this waste of time device. So the video has to technically play all the way through one time first so Apple TV can "remember" the movie to play it back in real time afterwards.
Am I missing something here? Am I doing something wrong that can be fixing my problem? I should have known that the Apple TV had so many things backwards when simple things like when you are using the remote and you reach the bottom of your list, in order to cycle back to the top of your list you have then press the directional buton back the other way rather than most modern day devices that will automatically cycle you back to the top or to the other side when you reached the bottom or end but keep on pressing the button. That **** annoys me when I am doing a search for a movie and have to type the name in manually and have to cycle back and forth to the letters. It makes me feel like I am using a rotary phone or something!

I was told by someone to try and purchase something directly from my Apple TV and that will help authorize my Apple TV. So I picked something that was free and it downloaded.
Then I went back to the Movie that would not work and it played just fine.

You are misunderstanding Photoshop Live 3D and overestimating its potential, that's why. There is no interaction beyond the plug-ins and effects responding to the AE camera. That's all it is. The rest must come from within the effect/ plug-in itself, but in this case it doesn't, because PS 3D by itself is lamer than lame. Anyway, long-standing and well known limitations in AE's "3D". Not all is lost, though. If you can work your way around building a UV pass as explained here, you might be able to stick your content into the scene rather seamlessly, after all. And lucky for you, you can try this for free these days using a PixelBender filter. I'd still recommend the commercial Re:Map because of the quality, though...

I have an second issue as well: When I hook off all-day it comes up with an 8 hour event!
And then if I put in a late start hour it pushes end time to next day due to the 8 hour event suggestion.
All in all this gives a lot of changes just to enter an event.

I have tried all the steps given to remove my I tunes player but in my control panel, add and remove programs it does not give me an option to remove any of the apple/ I tunes. I tried to go to program files and remove all the files but access is denied. This all started about 1 1/2 years ago and with every i tunes update i got more and more errors or problems until it stopped working. At one time i could remove and reinstall i tunes to try to fix it but now i cannot do anything. I believe one of the last was i could not open i tune because it was being used or was on another network, not 100% sure its been so long and frustrating I quit trying 6 months ago. Hopefully someones got some help !!!
