HTML insertion

For some time now when I want to insert a video from YouTube, the application quits.
I insert the HTML code, do OK, it starts to "load" and Muse left.
I tried with different videos, it is the same, even those that are already on my website. No problem, for example, with GoogleMaps, is there a problem between Muse and YouTube?

Help with a flash html inserting into DW

Hello,
I have created a enquiry section in flash for one of my html DW pages for my site. When I publish the flash doc ti creates a html page (Contact.html). When I open the flash html page in DW or upload it to my server, everything works fine. I recieve an email at my prefered destination etc etc. But as its only a section of my contact page of my website i need to insert it into my site page (get_in_touch.html) soon as i try and take all the stuff from contact.html and insert it into a div in my get_in_touch.html it doesn't respond when the submit button is pressed..... Can someone please help!!!!!

The page which has the flash on it (yes this one again!) Well if someone
goes to the page with out having flash player installed on their machine,
i'm looking for some script to detect that there computer doesn't have
Flash and redirect them to another html page I've created.
Would really appreciated any advice you may have.

These are the files that I said may be wrong or missing.
However if you just edit the flash generated page and include the items you
require in this, and maintain the same file position, you should have no

HTML insert issue

I have a small issue on inserting HTML in to my page.
This the code:

So it works fine if I create a new page and insert it. No problem at all.
But when I insert it to my Project page where I have multiple Widget...., then it does not work. It shows the drop sown and you can select it but it does not take you to the selected URL as expected.
I tried it multiple times and just copy/paste the same code and it works fine on an empty page but not in my crowded page.
On my crowded page, I don't have any pther HTML inserted. But I have Navigation widget, slide show widget.
Could you let me know why it doesn't work in the crowded page?

HTML inserts no longer work?

I just got the update of DPS on CS6 and now after updating my folios my HTML inserts no longer work?
They are email content HTML overlays, the code is working fine on website but not on the viewer.
PLEASE HELP WHY THEY NOT WORKING?

For those of you who are seeing this issue, please email me at [email protected] with the following information:
1) What version of CS6 you're using
2) What folio version you are seeing this problem with (check the Folio Properties dialog to get the folio version)
3) What viewer you're using (Adobe Content Viewer or a custom viewer)
4) If it is the Adobe Content Viewer, where you obtained it from (iTunes, custom built, etc.)

HTML inserted into a MUSE accordion widget issue

In Adobe MUSE 2014.3.1.44, I have inserted an HTML snippet into a MUSE accordion widget:

When published all I see is the clock numbers to the top left corner of the page—no other page content and no accordion—just the unformatted clock at the top left corner.
The snippet works fine outside the accordion widget.
When not inside the accordion the HTML frame is normal, but as soon as I insert it into the accordion it adopts the attributes like other widgets, with the round blue icon on the top right corner of the frame and a stripped down context menu.
Adobe chat support has duplicated this on their end and suggested that I post the issue in the forum.
Any thoughts?

I have been requested to put the page content from the above link in an accordion widget seen here: http://www.burkeauto.com/genuine.html
Click on the Light Maintenance Service tab. This is where the two scripts (clocks) are to go. Currently by clicking "CLICK HERE FOR NEXT AVAILABLE START" I am linking to page with the scripts/clocks outside the accordion.
I tried the script/clock in the accordion and publishing the site with the Light Maintenance Service tab open—still does not work.
As mentioned in the original post, Adobe could replicate the issue, but did not offer any resolution, and the forum has been quite on my post.
Any other thoughts?

Embedding a YouTube Video utilizing HTML Insert Crashes Muse Repeatedly

Just today I have noticed when embedding a YouTube Video in Muse that it has begun crashing repeatedly. I cannot get the video to stay embedded to finish this project. Is there a bug or a work-around?

Please try using YouTube embed code with the "Enable privacy-enhanced mode" option checked. It appears this crash is being triggered by recent changes in how YouTube's embed code works. At least early evidence indicates turning the "Enable privacy-enhanced mode" option on when creating the embed code appears to change the behavior of the embed code enough to avoid triggering this crash within Muse.
If you do try this, please report back to let us know whether or not setting this option enables you to avoid this crash. Thanks.

Meaning of HTML insertion code associated with Flash SWF file

Anyone know what the "logo" and the "6" mean in the code below?

The descriptive format would be...
var so = new SWFObject(swf, id, width, height, version, background-color);
It will be easiest to design the infinite looping into the Flash file.

Inserting html in iweb

ok - this may be a really simple question but if i have an html code (e.g. a slideshow or a 'buy now' button from paypal etc), how can i place it on an iweb page?
surely this must be possible? please help if you can.
i'm not using iweb 08 - just the one before that came with osx10.4.9.

You can use your TextEdit.app, but I think you'll find that Taco is much easier as it has a color coded interface.
Once your site is published, you will have the html to edit. (iWeb does not generate any html until it publishes the site, either to a folder or to .Mac.) If the site is published to .Mac, you will launch your editor and, from the file menu, choose File/Open. From the drop down, choose the Page.html ("Page" just refers to the name of the page, in the site) that you wish to edit. .Mac hosted html will be found on the iDisk; sites published to folders will have the html in just that--the folder.
Once you have opened the Page.html, insert the code in it's recommended position on the page. If you're not sure, or you want the button, etc., to appear in a specific place, then you need to create an html "target" in iWeb, on the page, before you publish. It's simple enough--just place a text box in the spot on the page where you want the button to appear, and in the box type "PayPal code goes here". Publish, and then search for those words in the code, in that particular Page.html. Replace them with your custom code and save the changes, and your button, etc., will appear on the published page in that position.
Give it a try, and if you run into difficulties keep posting back and everyone here will help you out.

Javascript code missing when inserting Fireworks html into DW document

I tried to insert fireworks html in a Dreamweaver file. After importing the fireworks html in the Dreamweaver document, the associated Javascript code was missing.
Of course, the Fireworks html file includes the Javascript code and works properly. It is just that when I insert the Fireworks html into the Dreamweaver file, the associated Javascript code gets lost although the manual clearly says that fireworks html is inserted "along with its associated images, slices, and JavaScript".
I use Fireworks CS5 and Dreamweaver CS5, but I also tried it using FW CS4 and DW CS4 which did not solve the problem.
I tried two ways to insert the html code (both with the same negative result):
1.) using the DW menu: Insert > Image Objects > Fireworks HTML
2.) Copying the HTML to the clipboard in Fireworks, and then pasting it into the Dreamweaver document
The Fireworks and the Dreaweaver files are both HTML4 docs.
Of course, I could insert the Javascript code manually, but then I would have to detach the associated template from the DW doc, and I would rather not do that because then later updates to the site will become more complicated.
BTW, I also tried to insert the fireworks html in another Dreamweaver document not using any template, but the JavaScript code got lost though.
I would be very grateful if somebody had an idea how to solve this problem.

I tried this, but it did not change anything. As I wrote before, the JavaScript code is not even inserted when I use a "blank", not-template-controlled DW page.
But nevertheless, your hint is very helpful. By making the complete head editable, I can at least insert the Javascript code manually.
But is the javascript that is currently shown there part of the FW HTML insertion? Do you want to preserve that on the child pages?
It belongs to the template. And yes, I want to preserve it on the child pages. I just want to insert this into the head of the child page:

Muse keeps crashing when embedding html vimeo

I am on a Macpro (mac OS 10.7.5). Using Muse 7.3. Whenever i try to embed a vimeo video by html insert, muse crashes constantly. Also trying the vimeo widget in the widget library keeps crashing Muse. When i try the youtube widget there is no crash.

The update to AIR 13 introduced a bug that impacts Macs from 2006-2009. The AIR team is aware of this and working on a fix.
The short-term workaround would be to uninstall Adobe AIR (using the uninstaller "Applications/Utilities/Adobe AIR Uninstaller" and directly install version 4.0.0.1390 from
Adobe AIR 4.0.0.1390 Mac (27.6 MB)
following which you'll need to ignore the AIR update alerts to avoid updating back to the AIR 13 version with the bug. (AIR changed their version number scheme to match the corresponding version number of Flash Player. The major version after AIR 4 is 13.)

Embedding HTML in Tabbed Panels

I created a campaign in Mailchimp and downloaded it as HTML so i could show the newsletter on my Muse site, with working links to emails, subscription and interviews.
I placed the HTML Element inside a Tabbed Panels widget and that caused alot of issues with the other elements on my Muse page.
It seems to be rather random in nature, sometimes moving a subheader, other times changing the color of the header or expanding rectangle elements.
Any suggestions or questions welcomed!

Insert into two tables, how to insert multiple slave records

Hi, I have a problem with insert into two tables wizard.
The wizard works fine and I can add my records, but I need to enter multiple slave table records.

Im using ADDT to design a page that needs to insert one record into a master ALBUMS table, along with three records into a GENRES table, all linked by the primary, auto-incremented ALBUMS. ALBUM_ID.
Ive tried many different ways of combining the Insert into Multiple Tables wizard and the insert record wizard with Link Transactions, all with no luck. Either only the album info gets inserted, or a ALBUM_ID cannot be null error from MySQL. Here is the structure of the tables

Email html formating

i am looking to making something were when you sign up to my app the server sends and email to you. all good so far.
here were the tricky bit comes in i would like the email to be formated like when you sing up to web site and then they send you your password like that. but i would like it so say
Dear ...(person name)
formating colours lines some graphics and other suff to make it look like can from my site.
Password=(then there password)
so i would need to parse the html code before fit in the gaps and then send the email but i dont know how to do this. and how to send this

Well, just write the HTML, insert placeholders that are unlikely to appear in a text (e.g. [LASTNAME], [PASSWORD]) and when reading the template (and setting the mail text) replace the placeholders with the real values. Can I edit the HTML that Muse exports in an HTML editor like Dreamweaver or Coda?

If I create a site in Muse, can I export the HTML and pass it along to a web developer to add additional hand-coding?

Choose Object > Insert HTML. In the window that appears, select the default placeholder text and Press Delete (Mac) or Backspace (Windows) to remove it. Choose Edit > Paste to paste the HTML code into the HTML Code field. Click OK to close the HTML Code window.

Javascript written in Dreamweaver behaves different when inserted in Muse

I have a simple javascript list that is written in Dreamweaver and works as expected but when I copy & paste that exact javascript into the -Object-insert html section in Muse the outcome is different.
Is there a place I can go to research on what I need to do different for that code to behave properly in Muse? I am not understanding what I need to change or do different.
Below is the code I got to work in Dreamweaver:

Only difference I see is with the CSS properties of Input tag.
You can define the style for these tag by adding few lines of code right below <title> tag in the code you are pasting in Object > Insert HTML.
For an example you can add codes mentioned below

    margin-left: 9px;

As per your requirement you can edit them.
One more advice. Break your codes in to 3 part, Scripts tag, Style tag and Div tag in body.
Insert Div tag in body in Object > Insert HTML
Insert Scripts tag, Style tag in Page > Page Properties >Metadata > HTML for <head>
This will help you avoid any unexpected behavior in preview when you have more stuff inserted in Muse Page.
