Html issue

Hi,
Is there any way to build a layout with bea using divs instead of tables?
The portal layout has the same structure of the following table:
<table>
<tr>
<td colspan="4">header</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>image1</td>
<td rowspan="2">menu</td>
<td colspan="2">navigation</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td rowspan="3">nothing</td>
<td>contents</td>
<td rowspan="2">some features</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="2">other contents</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="3">footer</td>
</tr>
</table>
I would like the 2nd row to have a static height despite the 2nd column's cell height (this cell rowspan's by 2 rows) which is variable.
The 3rd row is supposed to increase or decrease its size...
The problem is that, even with an height=XX attribute, increasing the height of the rowspanned cell automatically adjusts the height of the 2nd and 3rd rows (instead of only the 3rd) ruining the layout of the page.
Can you help me with this?
I hope i made myself clear.
Tito

There is a really neat trick of having a custom table stored
ready for use. Rick Stones
tips
& tricks file describes how to do this. This would get
around the padding issue. For the alignment you can handle this by
a style in your style sheet.
Failing this, create a table exactly the way you want, copy
the truecode to a Notepad file and save it to your desktop. Then
everytime you want to create a table, just copy/paste the code into
the truecode.

  • Iweb slider html issues

    Hi there!
    I'm trying to utilize the "anything slider" via the html widget on my welcome page. I've got all of my files properly located, I think my issue is with the html working correctly in iweb. The original html code opens up a beautiful slider and when placed into an html snippet on my welcome page it's all wacked out and images are not displayed properly.
    Here is my html that I'm working with:
    Original file:  http://dl.dropbox.com/u/29215513/slider_original.html
    MY file: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/29215513/slider-edit_this_one.html
    Any help would be appreciated as soon as possible, as I'm trying to update this for a job interview... I feel like I'm losing my mind or iweb just decided to hate my guts.
    Thanks! J

    You didn't follow the instructions. You skipped a step. You need to correct the links for iWeb.

  • Publish HTML Issue

    Hey Folks,
    So I've bee running into a very strange issue, that just
    started happening yesterday with one particular .fla. Every time I
    attempt to publish the HTML file it fills the <!--text used in
    the movie--> comments over a thousand times. Since I only have
    one field and the text is entered dynamically I end up with line
    after line of <p> tags. Anyone have any clue what the heck is
    going on?
    Cheers

    Here are two examples created by two different students in the same lab using the same software configurations:
    http://www.miszxbrii.byethost13.com/howellanimatic.html
    The first frame of this one displays only.
    http://vaivadesigns.byethost3.com/YoungMidterm/YoungMidterm.html
    Here it is again with a new html page:
    http://vaivadesigns.byethost3.com/YoungMidterm/midterm.html
    The swf path was the documents folder and another folder on the HD.

  • Inserting multiple html Issue

    Hi,
    I have embedded a video and an image gallery on my mobile site (WIP) using the insert html (each inserted separately) . I am having a strange issue where after viewing the photo
    gallery the video from vimeo becomes static and the play button does nothing! If I refresh the page the video becomes active!? Its only when viewing the gallery that this happens.
    Any Ideas will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    have you tried opening your html in a web browser? it should work in Safari. Next open the html web page using an iPad. if the page works in Safari on an iPad it should work in an iBook.
    There are many JavaScript codes that will not work in iBooks - including webgl.
    hope this helps...

  • HTML issues in Migration of Existing Application from Apex 2.0 to 2.2

    hi
    In my Existing Application of 2.0, iam taking some HTML formatted values into hidden fields like :P35_NOTIFICATION_BODY (Contains data like with HTML syntax<b><font color ="red"><notif Contents></font></b> ) etc.
    and displaying that data into HTML region like html Header: &P35_NOTIFICATION_BODY.
    for the quick view of the received user's notifications and its working fine in 2.0 version and data is showing correctly with the html formatting.
    but when i trying to run that application into 2.2 version, i found that the html region showing data with the HTML expressions instead of formatted HTML.means its not formatting the HTML contents and showing HTML Expressions direclty.
    Please suggest me why is that different come and what is the reason behind this.

    Hello,
    There were some changes in behavior between version 2.0 and 2.2 regarding the issue you are describing. I believe the following thread can clears things up for you - Re: Computed Region TItles being Escaped in Apex 2.2

  • 08-09 html issues?

    So I am not real saavy at this stuff yet so please be patient with me...
    built a website which has picture pages (pictures only, no snippets) and a music player (using html snippet) on the pages. published to a folder and uploaded to godaddy. worked like a charm.
    updated to ilife 09. made a minor change to the text on the page with the music player, published to a folder. works fine in the folder. uploaded to godaddy and the player disappears. soooo...i replaced the 09 html page with the 08 html page and uploaded to godaddy. works fine. WHAT'sthedeal???
    wanted to do fancy zoom on the pictures so downloaded and followed instructions to the letter. the pictures come up in a separate browser window rather than in a pop up window as they should. WHY WHY WHY? haven't tried this in 08 but my suspicions are that it would work in 08 and not 09.
    any ideas?

    well here's what i've discovered in a nutshell...it hasn't much mattered whether or not i publish changes or the entire site -- my results have been the same either way. What did seem to matter was the seeming conflict upon upload with published folders created in iweb08 and updated in iweb09.
    *fancy zoom:* overlapping pictures do not seem to cause trouble. the strokes and background seemed to be what was stopping progress. once i eliminated them everything worked just like it was supposed to.
    fancy zoom code needs to be adjusted each time you publish. when editing the code in text wrangler i found i need to do the find / replace in order (head first, then page load) to make sure nothing gets forgotten / dropped. finally placed the html code in a separate place so it's just a matter of copy and paste. Just for grins i did remove the previously uploaded files from godaddy prior to posting the new ones just in case there were any stray free range electrons that might gummy up the works (see music player issue below)
    *old picture files issue:* i publish to a folder on my desktop first then use godaddy's ftp to get it up. the old picture files appear upon publishing to the desktop folder. This folder should be cleaned out prior to uploading and it's a pain in the you know what, but is more neat and tidy on the uploaded site.
    *music player issue*: The player kept disappearing on upload to godaddy and i had to finally delete the previous file from godaddy before uploading the new one (this was after the iweb08 / 09 conversion). happened the first time and works well now - subsequent uploads no problem.
    seems like a lot of bashing and thrashing about for something so seemingly simple. but i guess that's what you get when you give the inexperienced monkeys like me some cool tools to play with!
    Thanks again for taking the time to get this all on the right track. i have learned.....

  • Keynote to Quicktime or HTML issues:

    Thanks for any help you may offer. I have made a small keynote presentation that works perfectly when running Keynote. After converting to quicktime or html, the audio is out of sync repeats itself, and some of the transitions stop functioning as they should. I am using Keynote 6.5.2 under Yosemite on a macbook pro. The presentation consist of 7 slides with one self recorded voice over music and saved as an mp3 file. Each presentation contains several transitions and builds. I'm at a loss to what the issue maybe. I have done this successfully in the past. Any ideas? Thanks.

    What method are you using to synchronise the images to sound?
    Unlike video files, Keynote does not have a method of locking the sound and pictures together to stay in sync, therefore images may drift away from the sound.
    If you need precise sync, you will have to use a video editing application, although I have found Keynote to provide reasonable presentation with sound.

  • Excel 2007 HTML issue losing pictures on saving.

    We have an excel document that we download from a website and then save to the desktop. We then open the document and make changes then save we lose the pictures that were there previously. The strange thing is this was not an issue until we moved to office
    2007 excel. We have installed the latest service packs to office and windows XP and cannot find the problem. We have tried saving in all different formats and the logos will not appear after we save the changes. Another interesting note is that if we install
    office 2010 the problem goes away. Has anyone experienced an issue like this?

    Hi,
    Based on my research, the image may not be in a format that can be displayed in Excel. I would like to confirm the type of the image.
    You can try to save the image in other types, such as JPG, and then copy it to Excel. Check again if the problem occurs.
    If anything is unclear or if there is anything I can do for you, please feel free to let me know.

  • EMOD - HTML issues with Mailto functionality

    Since the upgrade to version 1.3 I have just noticed a couple of things that did not appear within testing and I was wondering if anyone else has come up with anything similar or knows how I could possibly resolve these.
    I have two issues
    1 - When the user receives the email now the email is from [email protected]; on behalf of; $(Contact.Owner) can we remove [email protected] as we want the email to be as seen as sent from the contact owner and not a CRM then the owner.
    2- Previously in my coding I was using the following mailto statement that includes reference to the contact owners email address now this functionality doesn't work.
    a href="mailto:$%7BContact.Owner%20Email%20Address%7D">Please contact me about these strategies
    Anyone have any idea's on how I can resolve this before open of business in 12 hours. Lodged a SR but thought that I would also lodge it here just incase someone has faced the same issues and can point me in the right direction.

    JE,
    Regarding 1 - I got notification from Customer Care that it was an issue on Tuesday but has since been resolved.
    Description:
    Some users opening emails sent through EMOD campaigns find that the 'From' field is populated with [email protected] instead of the desi! red alia s.
    Our engineers are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

  • HTML issue with Safari iOS

    I have a personal web page that works great with Mac OS X Safari or Firefox but work correct with the iOS version of Safari. In the regular version when I click on a link to a picture, the picture displays until closed then goes back to the listing on the web page.  The iOS version of Safari opens the picture but never goes back the web page to get the next picture.  I use html statements like
    You know your getting old when you get this <A HREF="xxx.jpeg"target="_blank">Bumper Sticker</a> from the insurance company.</a>
    How can I get the iOS version of Safari to understand this statement?

    > Shouldn't you have a space between the href and target attributes?
    I just did a double check and  the only space I see is between the "A" and  the "HREF=...."

  • Captivate and HTML issues in Flash Builder / Air App

    I have a Flash Builder project that includes an HTML component and several Captivate SWFs that play in another window of the app. If I do not have the HTML component on, all works fine. However, when I add the HTML component, I get the following error when I go from one Captivate SWF to another:
    Error #2037: Functions called in incorrect sequence, or earlier call was unsuccessful.

    at com.adobe.captivate.main::cpMovieController/movieonEnterFrame()
    Does anyone have a suggestion on how to suppress the Captivate movie from calling the restoreFocusObject or how to suppress the error? I have tried  using the HTMLUncaughtScriptExceptionEvent handler but that is not capturing it.
    Thanks!

    Instead of using the File object, try URLRequest instead:
                                            var urlReq:URLRequest = new URLRequest("Special_Assignment_Title.flv");
                                            ns.play(urlReq.url);

  • Firefox 2.x Flash 9 html issue.

    I have Flash version 9 installed. When I try to run the
    generated Flex .html file for my project using Firefox, I get a
    message prompting me to install Flash 10, otherwise it doesn run.
    Now I did try running the .swf file with Firefox and it runs fine.

    My ff crashes often after change in window focus. I press Alt+Tab and it dies... I'm not using gtk-qt-engine. Just installed QtCurve for GTK. I'll try with gtk-qt-engine.

    We are using CSS plus Dreamweaver 8. We momentarily see the

  • Alternate html issue

    Alternate HTML content should be placed here. This content requires the Adobe Flash Player. Get Flash is what i get when i try to open it and use it even though it says the up to date has succesfully installed. how do i fix this problem?

    Have you cleared your browser cache?
    That's a message usually seen in a Flash slide show. If the page is loading from cached content it will continue to display the link until you clear your cache.

    You don't actually have the CSS code for the dropdown action. Here is a very simple example you can work from:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML>

      text-align: left;
      display: inline;

      padding: 15px 4px 17px 0;
      list-style: none;
      -webkit-box-shadow: 0 0 5px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.15);
