HTML tags for certain values in a report

Hi, I have built a report with a list of patient visit to a doctor. This is roughly a custom calendar with the names of the patients at different predefined hours.
I am now trying to display a canceled visit by adding a strike through line for the patient in question.
The overall look will be list with patient's names and some of them will be strike through-ed if they canceled it.
So I changed my select for the report to look like this:
select '<del>' || patient || '</del>' where canceled = 1 ...
But the report still looks the same - no lines through the names.
I also tried with bold tag but it seems that the tags are just dropped off somewhere in the process of rendering.
Could anyone help?

Sorting and null for monetary values in a report

All,
I think this should be an easy one, and I've just missed something obvious.
I have a standard report in APEX 3.2.1 that includes a column with a monetary amount in it. I want the column to show the UK Pound sign, be sortable, and show nulls where appropriate.
The issue I have is I can't find a way to achieve all 3 in a satisfctory way. As I see it the options would be:
1) In the SQL for the report, concat the pound sign to the column required, e.g. SELECT '£'||amount FROM....
The issue is that this makes this field a CHAR field, so sorting would not sort in the same way as for a number field.
2) Use the Number format FML999...etc. in the Column Attribute.
The problem with this is that this is a multi-country database, and the default monetary unit is set to the US dollar.
3) Use the HTML expression box in the Column attribute to display £#COL#
This fulfills the pound sign and retaining the number format, but unfortunately a null value is displayed as a £ sign with no numbers. I can't think how to get it to leave that value in the report as completely blank.
As I said, I'm sure I've missed soemthing obvious. If anyone can spot how to achieve this it'd be much appreciated.

However, it probably doesn't make sense to do that—£100 ≠ $100 (at least I hope not!)—unless there's some kind of conversion occurring in the report? Is there a currency stored along with the amount?

Replace HTML tags within column values

Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement where I have some text which has HTML tags inserted within it and I need to insert either Presentation variable or a GO URL replacing that tag. Problem is that this text is value of a column from table. It is not something which I type( because the text can change dynamically). e.g
Column header: Main Text
Row1: <<COMPANY_NAME>>
Row2: As of <<AF_OF_DATE>>
instead of <<COMPANY_NAME>> and <<AS_OF_DATE>>, I need to insert amounts from another table which have this unique tags and associated amounts. Can this be done?
I have to these columns in different places throughout the report in narrative views. e.g
1st narrative view will have only column 1 and row 1 and row 2.. 2nd narrative view will have only column 3 and row1...
This is really really important part of a report. So please help me out with ideas.

LVC_S_FCAT-TOOLTIP

In this speicfyteh tooltip you want.
Then append this to the fieldcatalog.

I have a page that searches a few tables.
its a overall search, but there are records we dont want to
allow anyone to
edit based on a value.
So my question is... i have a results page which is already
setup to display
all records found.. with a link(go to detail page) how can i
code it so if
any of the results have a certain value that link is not
available?

Getting wrong values for decimal value in Bex report

 I am getting some problem in Bexreport decimal values.
 In ODS i am able to look the values for this key figure
(Total PO Release Val)= 140.692,00,the same value in Bex report looks like this $ 140,692.00.
 Here one calculation is going with these above values
 % Used = 'Total PO Release Val' / 'Target Value' * 100
 as per ODS value calculation it is correct = 140.692/1000 * 100 =14.692
 as per Bex it is coming like this = 140,692.00/1000 *100 = 142.692.
 in Bex report Percentage valus is not considering value is taking as 140,692.00 rather than 140.692.I mean to say decemal values are ignoring while calculation in Bexreport.can you any please advice me how to comeout of this problem.Appreciate your help.

How do you check the ODS value? The amount will only have two decimal places after it, so you can't have a value like 140.692,00. It seems to be an issue of user's decimal notation (where decimal is represented by comma, and thousand seperator by '.'). Go to user profile, change this setting (in default tab) to correct one (ie decimal being represented by '.') and login again and check it. The value that you see in ODS is 'one hundred forty thousand six hundred ninety two, the same that you get in Bex, only the representation is different).

Color for negative Values in ALV Report

I want to change the color for negative values displayed in ALV list diplay report. Eg. -5 in Quantity should be changed to orange. Kindly help me

Inserting HTML tag for character style

I want to be able to use the <DEL> HTML tag around some text:
Regular Price <del>$395</del> Today $95
So, it should look like this:
Regular Price $395 Today $95
This works reliably in Dreamweaver (both preview and in various browsers). It also works on this forum page! But I can't get it to work in Muse.

This shows how to add a scroll box using HTML. That works on the test site. I then modified the contents to add <DEL> to the second word and it isn't shown. [I also added to the sixth word and it doesn't show either.]

This shows how to use a character style. The style seems to work, but the style doesn't show up in the browser. Any rate, there is no way I can find to add my own tag and the <DEL> tag is not one of those in the pull down list.

Muse overrides the default styling for the 'del' and 'ins' tags. If you want to use these tags in custom HTML, and have styling applied to them, you'll have to specify the styling you want with inline CSS, like so:
Regular Price <del style="text-decoration: line-through">$395</del> Today $95

Parsing XML with html tags for style

I'm using flash to pull in XML data, but I want to use html
tags to be able to style the text. When I add any html, it treats
it as a sub-node and ignores the data. Also, line breaks in the xml
are being converted to double spaced paragraphs? The relevant code
is basically this:

I'm trying to write a program which downloads a HTML script, parses it, extracts the links and checks to see which of these links are broken. While the parser is picking up tags that are well-formed, such as:

How to set an attribute of a HTML tag with a value in the Servlet

I have a HTML page and a Servlet.
The HTML page sends a request to the Servlet.
The Servlet has to read the contents of the HTML page. When the Servlet encounters the body tag it should set the bgcolor attribute of the body tag with a string(For eg.a string called color with a value blue) in the servlet.
After doing this the Servlet has to update the original HTML page with the changes (in the body tag).
I need a help on this.

I should code something like this:

Decimal point for Price value in ALV Report

I have created ALV report,
I have 2 price fields in ALV report
For first field i have to display in the below format.
If the value of the field is 3601152 then I have to display it as 36011.52
For second field I have to display in the below format
if the value is 2494 then I have to display it as 2495.00
else if the value is 3498.73,then I need not to do anything.
that means If there is no decimal point, then I have to keep decimal point.

Adaptive tag for date value - output in milliseconds?

I'm trying to add code to my presentation template, so when a page has multiple content items, I grab the most recent value of all 'last modified dates' for the content items on the page, so this would essentially display the page's last modified date. The approach I'm trying involves outputting the modified date for each content item into a format I can sort in a javascript function, then retrieve the most recent value to display at the bottom of the page's content. In this case, I figured the best manner to sort the items easily would be to display the date in milliseconds, then sort, and finally convert the most recent modified date into mmmm dd, yyyy hh:mm AM/PM format.
I see there is a method to obtain this date in millseconds (since January 1, 1970) format in javascript, however, is there a way to do this using the adaptive tag <pcs:value expr="modified" format="____________">?
If not, is there a better way to obtain dates for sorting in a javascript function, so can obtain the entire date, hours, and minutes? I did find one method that grabs the month, day, and year, but not the hours and minutes.

As per Pco notification, it will trigger whenever any of the tag value changes in Agent instance subscription items.
For above issue, My suggestion
1. Create DB table name TAGLIST with 200 tags as rows in columns (Tagname, TagValue)
2. Based on notification trigger, create a transaction and update values w.r.t TagNames in above table
3. Next time, when notification trigger with fresh value for any of the tag, cross check with existing TagName with Value and update in DB table.
4. And in the mean time, send those Tag details vie mail trigger or as per requirement
Instead of creating 200 notification, above is a just alternate way suggestion to achieve dynamic tag value change notification.

Configuration for Chracterstica values in drilldown report

I am working on FI drill down report.
The drilldown report is working fine.But the problem is I want to select some chractetsics in the report form of general data selection section.
When i am selecting the field the company code is also along with that.
For example if i am selecting RACCT the bukrs is also coming automaticaaly with that.
Please anbody let me know what would be the problem.
I want to know where we do configure in SPRO all the chracteric values for drilldown reports.
