Hi,
In fieldcatalog specify the TOOLTIP.
<b>
LVC_S_FCAT-TOOLTIP
</b>
In this speicfyteh tooltip you want.
Then append this to the fieldcatalog.
Hope this solves ur problem.

    Hello,
    I have a button which I have statically associated with a tool-tip text.
    I did this by setting the TooltipText to a text element.
    However, when I run my program, the tool-tip does not appear
    for the button. This button does not have any text it it, only an ICON.
    Therefore, I need a tool-tip to inform the user about the functionality
    of the button.
    Can anyone please tell me how the display the tool-tip?

    HI,
            Go to screen layout and double click on the button for which you are setting the toop tip text. Then Attributes window will open. In that window, Just below the 'Icon name' field, there is 'Tooltip' field. You give the tool tip text there.
    Also Dont forget to save the layout. After saving come to flow logic and activate the program and run. Then it definetely shows the tool tip when you place the mouse pointer on the button.

    I have a user-defined selection screen in my program. I would like to know if it is possible to have a tool-tip text ( quick info ) for the Pushbuttons on this selection screen.

    Function Buttons.
    For report programs you declare the selection screen appearence with select-options, parameters and selection-screen commands, function key is one of them.
    So a quick example
    REPORT ZYX.

  • Decimal point  for Price value in  ALV Report

    HI,
    I have created ALV report,
    I have 2 price fields in ALV report
    For first field i have to display  in the below format.
    If the value of the field is 3601152 then I have to display it as 36011.52 
    For second field I have to display in the below format
    if the  value is 2494 then I have to display it as 2495.00
    else if the value is 3498.73,then I need not to do anything.
    that means If there is no decimal point, then I have to keep decimal point.

    search value1 for '.' .

    Or value1 = value1 / 100.

  • Color for negative Values in ALV Report

    I want to change the color for negative values displayed in ALV list diplay report. Eg. -5 in Quantity should be changed to orange. Kindly help me

    You can create subtotals by columns.
    You would need extra column to group the materials( 1 to 10 GROUP1 20 to 30 GROUP2 by example)  and use this column for subtotals

  • Trying to make tool tip text visible longer

    Having no luck finding a way to keep tool tip text visible for longer period of time. Keeping it visible for as long as the mouse is over the component would be ideal but any increase would be helpful.
    Is there a way to set the time the tip is displayed?

    ToolTipManager.sharedInstance().setDismissDelay(100000);
    That should keep your ToolTip showing for a long time. Change the value if you want it longer.

  • Concatenate text to field value in report header

    I'm trying to concatenate text to field value in a textbox in the report header but am getting an error.  Here's how I'm doing it:
    =First(Fields!Pp_Name.Value, "dsProspect") & "Prospect"
    and the error says the report definition is invalid.  An unexpected error occurred while compiling expressions.  Native compiler return value '[BC30179] class 'Textbox.....
    any idea why this wont compile?

    Generally, the error message always occurred when there are two distinct text boxes with the same name that only differ in their name by casing in report. When Reporting Services generates VB code for these textboxes during report publishing, the compilation
    fails because VB class names are considered case-insensitive.
    So this issue is not related to the expression (the format is correct) you post, it related to the Textbox name that the error message said. In order to fix this issue, please rename one of the textboxes.

    Is it possible to have dynamic tool tip text when you hover over an icon on a report?  I know you can change the function key text but these icons are present on the report itself.
    Any ideas?!

    This is a known issue with the preview release. In the production release, the column headers, message prompts and tips, etc will be EL bound to the values from the model (in the case of BC4J those are the UI Hints).
    In the preview release, you can use the visual editor to change the hardcoded column headers, prompts and tips to the text you desire.
