Htree-Value of the parent's selected node

Hi all!
I have an htree in oracle forms10g and I would like to have the value of the parent selected node. There is a function to trap the value of the selected node but I also need the parent's value too.
My tree is structured like this
company--> department--> service-->service_status.
the service_status can be active or no_active. If I click on let's say "active"
I would like to have all the records where service_status is equal to "active" for the service located above the "active" selected

values are coming from my database ( SQLServer.)
on click of the button i am able to display the values from the database.

Cascading LOV does not work when setting the value of the parent LOV with DA

Using APEX 4.2.2.
I have tow LOVs
Parent LOV item is: P50_TYPE
Child LOV item is : P50_PROJECT_ID
In other words in the attributes of the item P50_PROJECT_ID we have :
> Cascading LOV Parent Item(s): P50_TYPE
> Page Items to Submit: P50_TYPE
> List of values definition: something similar to:
Select * from mytable where type = :P50_TYPE
I use DA that execute JS code to set the value of the P50_TYPE item
something similar to:
> $('#P50_TYPE').val(2);
Having done this, the P50_PROJECT_ID item does not get refreshed, when the value of P50_TYPE is changed. Namely, P50_PROJECT_ID remains empty, unless end user manually changes the value of P50_TYPE.
Any help please ?

How to get multiple values from the db using select

i am using oracle 9i database
i created a procedure
create or replace procedure sample_proce

when i executed this procedure the following error occurred.
error at line 5 fetching too many rows.
but when i execute the select query alone i can able to view all the rows.
how to resolve it

i used the following procedure

it is executed fine. i can able to fetch all the rows.
how to pass all these values into the another procedure.

I need to capture all entries coming in the range of select option into one internal table.
How to do get that?
For E.g
select-options: matnr for mara-matnr.(select option)
IF I enter G0100013507892 as lower value of matnr and G0100014873947 as higher value
and if there are 10,000 materials in the above range, then I want to capture all theses 10000 materails in one internal table. How to do that?

How to set values to the structure containing a node with cardinality 0..n

I 'm trying to set values for the node with cardinality 0..n. The node type is "Fields".

Hi Marcus,
If there is no way you could change the cardinality of the node, and thus it can contain 0..n items, I think you should create-and-add a new element programmatically.
Since the collection can contain zero elements, I would add a 'new' button, which upon clicking adds one new element via:
IYourNodeElement yourNodeElem = wdContext.nodeYourNode().createYourNodeElement();
wdContext.nodeYourNode().addElement(yourNodeElem);

0FISCPER - not populates value in the look up - selection screen -(urgent)

Fiscal year/period ( 0FISPER )is set to user input veriable that to appears in the selection screen, when we click on the Lookup for the Fiscal Year/period - dont get the list of possible Periods to choose from.
its an Master data infoprovider and fiscal period fetching the data from T009C. Hope it might be the reason not appear the possible periods in lookup.
How to get the fiscal yesr periods in look up?
Even I am not able to edit the Master data Tab of the Onfoobject in chnage mode.
what could be reson ?

We have a planning model wherein we have the following hierarchy in the account dimension:

CLOSECUST and OPENCUST are AST type accounts since we need as of balance, whereas the other accounts like Gross Adds, Migrations and Disconnections are EXP type, as we need a cumulation of these values for a particular period.

The business is looking for more of a summary at their quarterly level. i.e. what was the opening for the quarter, the delta changes that happened during the year, and the closing balance.
The issue is mainly with the opening value. It takes the value from the latest month. But the value is needed from the earliest month of that calculated time period.
We do not have a Flow Dimension in the planning model and the users need this in ad-hoc reporting as well. So we do not have an option of managing this at a reporting level (using EPMCopyRange or something similar)
Is there any other solution to this issue?
Any help would appreciated.

A bit not clear requirements. You are trying to create separate accounts for Opening and Closing? Looks strange! Please, use Flow dimension for this things. Trying to emulate it on the report level will create a lot of misunderstanding...

I have one use case where I have to display the path of node of tree table which is selected one.
e.g.
Suppose the tree table is like this.
Folder1(root)
          ->folder2
          ->folder3
                    ->folder4
Now when I select this folder1 then path display should be "/folder1(root)"
when i select the folder4 then path should be "/folder1(root)/folder3/folder4"

Restrict variable values in the pop-up selection screen

Hi,
I have a variable based on a caracteristic that has 0COMP_CODE as attribute in a Web Report (BW 3.1B).
This variable has to be accessible so that users can select a value.
I need to restrict the values that users can see on the selection screen according to their 0COMP_CODE value, even in the pop-up.
I have tryed authorization variable and user exit, but none worked.
The best I could do was a "several single values" variable that was preselected with the caracteristics of their 0COMP_CODE, but it didn't worked in the pop-up.
Does anybody knows how to handle this?

As far as I could find out, it should be made through customer exit.
The point is : I have to use a customer exit variable that has been check as "ready for input".
I can't find a way to restrict the values displayed in the variable selection screen (in the help pop-up window for this variable).
The exit can pre-fill the selection fields with values, but whenever the user opens the window, he sees all the values.
I have tryed all the values for I_STEP (0,1,2 and 3) but none did it.
Does anybody knows how to limit those values?

Write down your report category.
There u'll see the technical names of the selection screen fields.
You can use PNPXXXX name in your report.

How to capture the selected values of the filter?

I have created a dashboard using a 4 column filter. It all works well - no problem.
I now need to enhance the functionality of the dashboard which needs the selected values of each of the parameters of the filter. As far as I know, the selections of the fiilter columns are not "Inserted In" any cell, only the data values of the corresponding row not including the filter columns are inserted in the "Inserted In" row, is there a way to capture the values of the filter column selections in some cells on the spreadsheet?
An early response from you all shall be highly valued.
Also, does anyone know which is the current equivalent version of Xcelsius to the old Xcelsius Workgroup version. This Xcelsius Workgroup version supported the "XML Integration Dynamic Refresh" wherein you didn't have to reinserted the updated Excel spreadsheet into Xcelsius have an updated dashboard - as long as the corresponding XML files were updated with the latest data, the exported dashboard would refresh.

Binding textbox to combobox selected value when the selected value is blank

I have a simple form that binds data to a combobox and when one of the values in the combobox is selected it fills a textbox with the corresponding column in that table. However, if that combobox value is empty(meaning that table cell is empty) then
the textbox will not fill with the correct value. I am finding this hard to explain so I will lay it out.
The table[COA] is as follows:

I fill my combobox with Sub values based on the Bus Unit and Obj. Since the Bus Unit and the Obj in both rows are the same the combobox is filled with 10 and "".
Here is where the problem occurs. When I select "10" in the combobox I want a textbox to fill with correct Obj Description field. So selecting "10" would give me 'ASC Voucher' in the textbox and selecting "" should
give me 'Voucher' in the textbox, but this is not the case. I can only get 'ASC Voucher' to fill the textbox. When I select "" it keeps the textbox at 'ASC Voucher'.
My guess us that is has something to do with the value being empty in that table cell because when I am selecting other values it works.
Any guess as to what I should do?
