HTTP 404 when accessing procedure on PLSQL

Hi!
I am going to install some PLSQL procedures on my Oracle 9ias
server. I install all the procedures on my database and
configure a new dad. Then I write this URL in my browser:
http://<machine_name>:<port>/pls/<dad_name>/<package.procedure>
and I obtain a 404 error
Should I do any additional step?? I have successfully configured
PLSQL providers on Portal, but clearly this is not the same case

Hi, I did write the same url but it did not work and to my
knowledge this 'pls' is a virtual directory and should be
defined in httpd.conf file but i do not know exact path
for 'pls' and then 'dad' also seems to be virtual directory.
Does any body have any idea how to check whether portal
configuration was successful or not.
thx
vandana

  • HTTP status 404 when accessing ADF Faces app deployed in Tomcat

I have ADF faces app deployed to tomcat. The first time the application is accessed, the URL gets screwed up and I get HTTP 404. If I access the app again in the same browser, the page loads fine. If I clear the cookies and access it again, I get HTTP 404 again.
The problem can be seen live here:
    1. Go to http://subash.redirectme.net:8080/stock/faces/welcome.jspx
The url in the browser gets messed up:
    http://subash.redirectme.net:8080/stock/faces/welcome.jspxhttp://subash.redirectme.net:8080/stock/faces/;jsessionid=1A48DEA6CF208BAADCB3BE50084B1AD1?_afrLoop=1455371821548250&_afrWindowMode=0&_afrWindowId=null
    2. Go to http://subash.redirectme.net:8080/stock/faces/welcome.jspx in the same browser. The page loads up fine.
    3. Delete cookies and access the same page, the problem appears again.
Upon digging around, I found when the browser makes first request, the servers reponds with 200 OK with jsessionID cookie header. Then the client sends requests for "http://subash.redirectme.net:8080/stock/faces/welcome.jspxhttp://subash.redirectme.net:8080/stock/faces/;jsessionid=8E31D5895621B17B712186AA8AF6BF4A?_afrLoop=1455891492432424&_afrWindowMode=0&_afrWindowId=null" and the server correctly responds with HTTP 404. Looks like some ADF issue.
This problem was not seen in Weblogic server, but started appearing when I tested in Tomcat.
    Here is HTTP Trace:

  • Error 404 when accessing presentation services

    Hi,
I am encountering Error 404 when I am trying to access the presentation services.
All my services are up and running. A ./opmnctl status shows all the components to be "Alive"
My enterprise manager and the console are up and running.
I have never encountered this kind of situation before. Any inputs please?
    Akshatha

    Hi Akshatha,
    Start checking following things
    1. http://localhost:7001/console        is this accessible to you? or http://<machine IP>:7001/console
    2. If yes  ...Login with weblogic user
    3. to check analytics  Go to Home >Environment > Servers >bi_server1 > Deployments
    4. In this you get J2EE analytics application deployment status
if you are able to http://<machine IP>:7001/em
check Business Intelligence > coreapplication status
If coreapplication is up and running http://<machine IP>:9704/analytics    should be accessible.

  • Http: 404 when starting 'manage user data' in EBP/SRM for the firs time.

We are customizing SRM 3.0 EBP 4.0 with SAPKU40005.
When we tried to create the first users we started to receive the following error 'http: 404 Page not Found' when starting 'manage user data'. I've created the ADMIN user in the SU01 transaction. When logon in mySRM browser with this or any administrator user and try to 'manage user data' i get this error.
I've looked in the '(...)inetpub\wwwroot\sap' directory and didn't found any 'bc/bsp/...' directory.
Can someone please give me an hint ....
    Tanks

    Hello Carlos,
the BSP Framework you are now in has nothing to do with the ITS stuff like inetpub or wwwroot.
Get the docu for Web AS 6.20 and have a look into transaction SICF. There you can activate your application: follow the path sap/bc/bsp/bbpusermaint, right mouse click on the "node" and say activate.
This maybe solves your problem. But read a little bit of the doco on Internet Communication Framework (TX SICF) first.

  • HTTP 404 when opening DS Management Console

I have installed DS 3.1 on a Win 2003 server with BOE XI 3.1 (FP 1.6). DS and BOE are configured (standard configuration by the installation program) to use the same tomcat.
When I try to open DS MAnagement Console I got the error HTTP Status 404 - /DataServices/ in IE. Any ideas obout how to solve the problem? My BOE installation works fine on tomcat.
    The complete error message are:
    HTTP Status 404 - /DataServices/
    type Status report
    message /DataServices/
description The requested resource (/DataServices/) is not available.
    Apache Tomcat/5.5.20

    Dear Martin ,
I suggest you to use tomcat manager for deploying WAR files. Please follow the below steps.
    1) Go to Properties of MY computer
    -> ADVANCED tab
    ->click on Environment variables
    -> Click on New
    -> Give name as CATALINA_HOME and value as path for TOMCAT55 (default is C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat55 )
    -> say OK
Similarly create another variable JAVA_HOME and give path where the javasdk is installed . ( default is C:\Program Files\Business Objects\j2sdk1.4.2_08 )
    2) Open tomact manager using the following link
    http://localhost:<portnumber>/manager/html
    give your tomcat manager credentials.
    3) You can see list of applications on tomcat server.
    Stop the /dataservices , /doc , /webservice  applications by clicking on corresponding stop button(if they are running ) .
    4) click on undeploy button corresponding to /dataservices , /doc , /webservice  ( dont worry if you dont see any of the above applications , we can deploy freshly )
5 ) Scroll down on the same page , go to option WAR FILE TO DEPLOY
    6) Browse for the following WAR files one by one .
    a) DataServices.war
    b)webservice.war
    c)doc.war
NOTE : These three WAR files will be available in the following default path.
    C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\java\applications
7 ) Now restart the tomcat . Again login in to tomcat manager ,click on list of applications, click on
    \dataservice application .
Hope you can see , Data services management console. Proceedure looks complex but it is easiest way to deploy war files.
Make this thread as answered if you are ok with my post.

  • Error 404 when accessing website by traffic manger URL

    So here's the case...
I have 2 azure websites that are available by custom domains let's say eu.somecustomdomainhere.com and us.somecustomdomainhere.com.
Also there is a traffic manager say myglobal.trafficmanager.net with custom domain www.somecustomdomainhere.com
    Load balancing method: Performance
Once I add 2 endpoints using custom URLs on open custom or .trafficmanager.net URL I get Error 404 blue page. When I run NSLOOKUP I get records that point to the right endpoints and IP. When I try to open IP in webbrowser I get the sam 404 error page.
Here's an interesting part: when I add custom domain to one of the websties in management portal that corresponds to traffic manager URL or www.somecustomdomainhere.com in azure portal it start redirecting me to that on website. I tried to add the same custom
domain to the second website but it says that custom domain is already assigned to another website.
So I removed trafficmanager.net and www.somecustomdomainhere.com records from the website and it get 404 error again.
Telnet to traffic manager connects on port 80.
I waited for 24 hours just in case DNS record is cached by no luck.
So the question is: How do I work around this and is it a known issue or for how long should I wait?

According to this, endpoints from different subscriptions can be added:
Deploy your Azure cloud services, Azure websites, or other endpoints to your production environment. When you create a Traffic Manager profile, it must be associated with a subscription. You then add endpoints for cloud services and Standard
tier websites in production that are part of the same subscription. If an endpoint is in staging and is not in an Azure production environment or is not in the same subscription, it can be added as an external endpoint. For more information
    about cloud services, see
Cloud Services. For more information about websites, see
    Websites.

  • /pls/htmldb/form_top_bg.png HTTP-404 procedure doesn't exist

Getting this consistently in the apache error log -
    [Wed Jul 18 13:10:00 2007] [error] [client 10.10.11.135] [ecid: 1184782200:192.168.1.221:3219:0:6251,0] mod_plsql: /pls/htmldb/form_top_bg.png HTTP-404 \nform_top_bg.png: PROCEDURE DOESN'T EXIST\n
Any ideas? I've verified that this file does exist in the correct location.

I've verified that this file does exist in the correct location. What is the correct location? Is /pls/htmldb a virtual directory or your DAD location? Is the file in the images directory?
Somewhere there is a reference to "form_top_bg.png" and it should probably be changed to include the image prefix tag. i.e. src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#form_top_bg.png"

    Hi All,
I have apex 3.1.0.00.32 installed on solaris 10g R2. I didnt make any changes to a page which is based on report/query.

    Rajesh,
    When I modify the records
Modify records how? Using what tool? What to you mean by "When"? Do you mean "after" modifying records you run the report and get the error or do you mean "in the process of" modifying records using a control in your application? What kind of report is this? Can you show us on apex.oracle.com?

I am unable to upload any files into htmldb 1.6 on 10g (running on Linux RHEL3).
To upload an image I perform the following steps:
    - go into the shared components section
    - click on the images link

In the Apache error file it gives the following:

On Metalink a FIX for this problem found in Note:301329.1:

Every time I try to log in as .../profile/nearearthobject/ I receive message
HTTP 404, when using IE11 (similar messages in other browsers).
Is it temporary, or is there some other issue?

log in as .../profile/nearearthobject/ I receive message HTTP 404
HTTP 404 means that the server exists but the page doesn't.
This exists, which proves there is an account with that name.
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/browseusers?userName=nearearthobject
although the avatar for it does not exist.  It also says that that the user has made 4 posts.
But when I go here there are none shown.
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Profile/nearearthobject/activity
Those facts could be consistent with a "been banned" hypothesis (or perhaps more like an account in the preliminary stages of being banned).  We would have to ask someone who has actually been through the process to know for sure what
    its symptoms are.  <eg>

Since I have another database with apex, I have tested by changing the SID name in the dads.conf and it works. They have same host and port number.
The only differnence between the 2 apex installation is the version, the one which works is 3.0
    Thanks for your help

    Hi:
The URL I suggested that you try returns the APEX login page for my 3.1.2 APEX installation. Could your APEX installation have failed somewhere half way through the installation process ? Do you see any errors in the installation log file ?
What does the query below when run against the database that APEX 3.1.2 was installed in return ?
    select version,status from dba_registry where comp_id='APEX';Varad
