The website is unable to display the webpage
HTTP 501/HTTP 505
   What you can try:
Go back to the previous page.
     More information
This error (HTTP 501 Not Implemented or HTTP 505 Version Not Supported) means that the website you are visiting doesn't currently have the ability to display the webpage, or support the HTTP version used to request the page.
For more information about HTTP errors, see Help.
i have tried from firefox, chrome and IE and unable to post.. i may look stupid and this may work here!  lol!
but i have been trying for several hours to post a question on the ABAP forum...  :o(

You have been "bagged" by SAP Security's cross site scripting filter. No way around it (for obvious reasons). Somewhere in your post there is something that is interpreted as an xxs attack. Unfortunately, happens a lot when trying to post code or code terms. Some people have managed to work around this using some of the same tricks used by people wanting to post forbidden words and phrases like
myemal at sap dot com
j a v a s c r i p t
and the like. Try some experimenting and you might succeed.

  • Getting HTTP 501 / HTTP 505 error when replying to a thread

    Hi,
When replying to a thread I get the following error:
HTTP 501 Nicht implementiert oder HTTP 505 Version nicht unterstützt (HTTP 501 not implemented or HTTP 505 version not supported).
What does it mean? Is there a problem with the forum?
    Regards,
    Ulrich

    Hi,
The text I want to post contains a HTML/Javascript code example. I think that causes the problem. If I post without the code example it works.
URL of the concerned thread is Integrate WAD 7.0 Template into BPS Web Interface
Can it be a general issue with the forums software?
Is there a way to contact a forum admin to report this issue?
    Regards,

  • OSS Notes Implementation

    Hi Experts,
Can anybody tell me the step to step procedure to see whether 50xxxxx OSS notes is already in the system or not.
If it is not implmented then how should I implement I mean what are the step involved.
I am using SRM 5.0 ECS....

    Hi Gopesh,
You can use transaction SNOTE for implementation of OSS note if there is program correctoion. OSS note release will with release version and Support pack of SRM. If your OSS note is  release after your current version and SP#, then you have to implement it else note would be included for  earlier releases.

  • XSL-1009: (Error) Attribute 'version' not found in 'HTML'

    Hi,
I've got the following problem: oracle.xml.parserv2.XSLException
    <Line 1, Column 7>: XSL-1009: (Error) Attribute '{http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform}:version' not found in 'HTML'.
and I wanted to know what are its origins and what to do to go around, knowing that:
    - we run a java application on an oracle 9iAS and it works fine !
    - we run the same application on an oracle web-to-go server and it gives this message on the client when trying to put
    - the mobile server 'java environment' is a little bit never (version) than the online environment, both servers (9ias an mobile) run on the same machine (mobile is never -> impact on client environment? Installs run under jre 1.3.01)
    - we have an xml document (DOM) and an .fo stylesheet (file/url), so no html for output! Where comes it from? The <xsl:output method="html"> has even been removed and tried with method="application/pdf", no change.
    - the function XSLProcessor.newXSLStylesheet raises this exception; to make it at least run on online environment, we used the .jar file from JDevelopper 9.0.2.822 (this .jar is used in JDev, on 9ias and mobile client)
    - the output file (via apache's fop) shows correctly in the online version, but fails the create/use of the stylesheet (tried stylesheet with xml data for output and a generique 'Hello World' .fo for pdf output, both fail)
    - the .fo starts with <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:fo="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Format" version="1.0">
    - we even tried xsl:version="1.0" and no version at all
    - the same XML parsed with an .xsl for html output works fine, in mobile, the attribute "http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" does not show up as an error
I guess we have a version or configuration conflict, but what exactly could it be? If you need some more version numbers, just let me know.
Thanx very much for any help!

    Hi,
as I wrote in the inital message, we even left out the output method or used "application/pdf". The result is unfortunately always the same. And I still claim this is not a problem with the stylesheet itself, it has to do something with the mobile's environment.
Something I didn't tell: we have 2 servlets in our application, 1 responsible for output in html and 1 in pdf. The .fo stylesheet passed to the 'html servlet' is parsed correctly (and shows the source code, because it does not know about fo and conversion to pdf), the .xsl stylesheet passed to the 'pdf servlet' raises same exception/same line. You might tell us that there is a problem with the 'pdf servlet', but once again: why in online it is working?
Greetings and thanx very much for your precious time!

    While uploading employee photo
getting error "HTTP error: 501 Not Implemented"
this error i am getting while linking employee photo to SAP.
pls suggest me how to solve.
    thanx in advance

    Hi,
don't worry about the "HTTP error:501 Not Implemented The adminContRep command is an internal SAP R/3 command and not accepted by this content repository" error message, it only means that if you chosen the CSadmin button (or transaction) that this only developed from SAP content server and cannot be used for other 3rd party ones, like OpenText.

Can you suggest something? I would test using telnet on the Oracle server itself - just to make sure connectivity is as expected (and a proxy server or firewall for example answers instead of the intended web server).
    e.g.
    telnet webserver 80
And when getting the web server response, you can send a HTTP 1.0 get, i.e.
    GET /getRates?weight=65.8&fromProvince=ON&fromPostalCode=L6S  6B7&toProvince=ON&toPostalCode=M5S 1X9&shipDate=2010-07-15 HTTP/1.0
Or play around with variations of the URL. See if you can access to the root page.
The interesting bit would be the full header response from the web server. If the Oracle server is Windows, install something like putty instead of using that pathetic telnet client from Microsoft.
Another option would be to install Firefox and a http header/viewer plug-in. Very nice as this does the telnet thing for you, but with proper browser support and allows you to see the exact details of the HTTP conversation (headers included). If the Oracle server is Linux/Unix, you can easily do this from your desktop by starting a vncserver session on the Oracle server and using vncviewer from your desktop to access that server desktop GUI and running Firefox.
If there are anything funky in the way the browser and web server communicates (HTTP header and version wise), the Firefox-plus-plug-in is likely to shed some light on it.

  • Flash sockets over SIP-protocol: HTTP/1.1 501 Not Implemented

    Hi there.
I'm developing a chat app based on IRC server and flash client (flash sockets). Everything is OK but for some ISP flash client doesn't connect to IRC server: There are some logs from chat while connecting to IRC server:
        Send: PASS password
        Send: NICK nickname
        Send: USER username
        Receive: HTTP/1.1 501 Not Implemented

There is only thing I'm aware - this issue occurs for SIP mobile network provider only. For other non-mobile providers issue doesn't occur and chat works good.
I would really appreciate for any thoughts on this matter.

  • HTTP Version not supported

    Hi,
My scenario is IDOC to Webservice.
I have done all design and configuration,
I used Receivere adapter as SOAP dapter.
When i am running the scenario i am getting following error.
"Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 505 HTTP Version not supported"
    regards,

    Hi,
This happens when target service expects a specific version of the HTTP protocol (1.0, 1.1 etc) and client does not match this expectation ... Try to check if target requires a specific version (1.1 only for instance) whereas XI uses another.

  • MP3's on https server not playing thru OS X version of iTunes

    My podcast: http://itunes.apple.com/podcast/ibm-institute-for-advanced/id386609821
The mp3 files are stored on my corporate server and it forces https connections. Seems like that would be common though.
It plays fine from the website and apparently works on PC based iTunes. I have also used my feed from the Juice client and that works great.
    Any ideas?
    Message was edited by: Censey

I checked the top episode: it plays in the web page which comes up when you click the link you gave. This is probably where your PC friends are hearing it.
However when you move on to the iTunes Store page it won't play. I subscribed, and though the feed was recognized and the episodes listed, I got the error message that 'the secure connection was refused'.
An https connection requires a security certificate in the browser: all this is handled invisibly to the user. However the iTunes Store and application are not a browser, and evidently do not have this ability, just as there are other things which can fox them, such as some redirects. Nothing is said in the Podcasts Tech Specs page about https connections, and this is the first time I've come across this problem, but just as you can't password protect media files you evidently can't use https-protected ones either.

  • 501 not implemented errors

    Hi,
In our portal some users are getting 501 not implemented errors in some front pages. After refreshing everything works fine.Any body have any idea? How this can be solved?
    Regards
    Imran

    HI
    Error Message:
Error 501/505: Not implemented or not supported.
    Translation:
This error may occur when using Internet Explorer in Windows XP to view a Web page. This error can be caused by either having the HTTP 1.1 setting enabled or by an interference with Internet Explorer by a third-party product. Since there are some Web sites that still use HTTP 1.0, connection issues can arise if you have HTTP 1.1 enabled.
    Solution:
The easiest fix for this error can be found if HTTP 1.1 is enabled. To fix the problem, simply disable HTTP 1.1. You can do this by clicking Tools in Internet Explorer and going to the Internet Options menu. Go to the Advanced tab and uncheck the box next to Use HTTP 1.1. Click OK and test to see if the issue is resolved. If you have resolved the issue, do not proceed with the following steps. If the error still remains, go back to the Tools menu in Internet Explorer and select Internet Options. Next, click the Advanced tab and check the box next to u201CShow friendly HTTP error messagesu201D and click OK. The next time this error occurs, a more detailed error message should appear to tell you which program is interfering with the proper display of the Web page. The more friendly error message will say something to the effect of, u201CHTTP version not supported by program name,u201D where program name is the name of the program that is preventing the Web page from displaying correctly. You can either remove this program to attempt to solve the problem or you can contact the manufacturer of the program to see if there is a fix available.

    vijay.
