HTTP Adapter and DUNS scheme - possible bug ?

Hi Folks,
I am using the HTTP adapter for posting an XML message which is then redirected towards IDOC adapter ... nothing special here ...
I am using the scheme 'DUNS' and agency '016' to pass along the partner identification when calling the HTTP adapter ...
The HTTP adapter tries to match the given partner information and finds the proper XI Party ... BUT ... it overwrites the DUNS number value with the XI Party but leaves the agency and scheme pointing to DUNS ...
An example
Going IN:
Party = 12345789, Agency = 016, Scheme = DUNS
After conversion
Party = MyPartner, Agency = 016, Scheme = DUNS
So the receiver determination works fine and then we go to the IDOC adapter when stuff goes into error as it cannot convert the given sender information into a proper IDOC partner ...
The whole thing works fine when I am passing along
Party = MyPartner, Agency = http://sap.com ..., Scheme = XIParty
then the IDOC is created and send towards SAP ...
I am thinking that the Sender determination in the HTTP adapter goes wrong as the combination
Party = MyPartner, Agency = 016, Scheme = DUNS
is clearly wrong ...  Furthermore I have lost my original DUNS number ( so it cannot be used for example in mappings, etc ... )
Anyone had similar issues or problems with this ?

Steven

Apply note 954645. This should solve the issue.

The DUNS must be provided in the message payload as well.
Usually the party normalization is done by the adapters in a very specific way. So the RNIF adapter takes the DUNS out of the message payload of the RosettaNet message and does the party normalization with that DUNS.
In the HTTP adapter there is no need for a party normalization as you provide a URL for the HTTP client where you can add the party in the query string.

  • Outbound HTTP adapter and URL parameters

    Hi all
I'm having some trouble with a XI scenario I'm supposed to implement.
I should get invoices from a vendors webserver using a url with parameters (ex. http://myvendor.com/getinvoice.jsp?invoiceid=12345) and send it as INVOICE IDoc to the R/3.
I thought that would be an easy one using the Plain HTTP-Adapter but I can't figure out how to build the URL. Is there a way to do that, or do I need to implement my own adapter??
    Thanks in advance
    Stefan

    Hi experts ,
I have this scenario from Legacy to XI to external app server.I have a test jsp to execute that functionality .Its a jsp which has 1 textarea named "test" and when I click on the submit buton I get a response back. This way I am able to test this independently. Now from XI when I am executing my scenario I am getting status code '1250' and message as ' http request(test) is null'.Now in the scenario in http adapter I just provide the target host : ip of server ,
service number : port no ,
path: the container or the request handler. But this scenario fails and gives me the above erroneous response. Now Basically I am not able to get how to send the value to the textarea "test"? please provide help as soon as possible.Do we have to put the name of the jsp in the "path" in http adapter and use prolog as test= or should it be &test= .I tried this but it doesnt work.So please provide help on this as soon as possible or please suggest a solution at [email protected]
    Thanx in advance,

  • Interconnect HTTP adapter and B2B

The HTTP adapter within Interconnect does not seem to support SOAP HTTP formats, would B2B be able to manipulate the HTTP from the HTTP Adapter and create it in SOAP format.

Unfortunately B2B do not support generic SOAP formats today. It only
supports SOAP in the context of ebXML.
    Thanks

  • HTTP Adapter and Message confirm

    Hi Experts,
I don't understand an aspect of communication with SAP PI.
I have a External System that comunicates with SAP ECC via SAP PI HTTP Adapter.
When SAP ECC sends an MATMAS message to External System like payload of HTTP message, How Does External System confirm MATMAS is recived?
In R/3 System there are methods to commit, roll back transaction, there's a similar mechanism with HTTP Adapter?
    thanks.
    Marco Genova

    hi,
    >>How Does External System confirm MATMAS is recived?
it does not - http adapter does no support acknowledgments
the only way would be to receive a message back from http to PI
with some status info and for example on the basis of that
change the status of the outbound matmas idoc to - received successfully
but there is no confirmation with HTTP adapter that the message was received

  • HTTP Adapter and Other Approaches to Call REST services

    Hi,
We are coming up with a BPEL process to call the REST service using GET and POST methods. When i tried using HTTP adapter, we have got the error REPLACE_WITH_ACTUAL_URL so we went to another approach given in the blog https://blogs.oracle.com/reynolds/entry/oracle_http_adapter.
This is working fine in BPEL 10g, when we did in the same way in 11g and tried to test we are getting the NullPointerException. Following is the error trace that is shown in the diagnostic log file. Please do let me know if anybody faced this issue and have insight on the same.

  • Problem in Jdeveloper 10.1.3, web services and document style.possible bug?

    Hello!
I would like to generate a document-style web service from a wsdl file. The problem is that when I use it I get the following error:
"operation echoStruct must have exactly one parameter as part of the SOAP body when used with a document-bare binding. All other parameters must be mapped to headers."
A similar message is shown with other wsdl file that I'm using.
I'm attaching the file that use to test it.
Could you help me and tell me how I can fix it, please? or is it a bug?
    Regards,
    Antonio.

Dev update: WSDL file seems fine. The problem is that it's for a document-bare service and, by default, the Unwrap Wrapped Parameters option on step 2 of the top-down wizard is enabled and checked. This means that we try to pick apart the input message into a series of parameters, yielding the error shown because a document-bare operation must have only one input parameter.
If the Unwrap Wrapped Parameters option is unchecked, creation of the top-down service will succeed. In future, we ought to disable the option completely for everything but document-wrapped services, as that's the only time it applies.
This is covered by bug 4630382.

  • SQL_Developer and date format - possible bug

I have encountered an error that I cannot explain.
In Oracle SQL Developer very simple query:
    Select To_Date('01-JAN-0001 BC','DD-MON-YYYY BC') From Dual;
    returns:
    01-JAN-02
The year is wrong. NLS_DATE_FORMAT for this session it is set as 'DD-MON-RR'. So I have altered the query to enforce using this format:
    select to_char(to_date('0001-01-01 BC','YYYY-MM-DD BC'),'DD-MON-RR') from dual;
    And the result was:
    01-JAN-01
Also it seems to be correct in TOAD and not in Oracle SQL Developer.
    Is it known issue?
The version of SQL Developer I'm using is 2.1.0.63 Build MAIN-63.73
Thanks in advance for any answers.
    MJ

    Hi MJ,
I reproduced this issue in SQL Developer 2.1.0.
But I was not able to reproduce the issues in SQL Developer 2.1.1 or SQL Developer 3.0 EA1.
So it looks like this issue has been fixed.

  • Hebrew OCR works but spaces and in english - Possible bug

    Hello all,
I'm using Acrobat Extended Pro for scanning hebrew content. The OCR features works very good, but when copying the text to Microsoft Word (2003) the spaces (not the words) remain in english. I mean, as Word knows the language of each charactar, it marks the words as hebrew and the spaces as english.
This causes Word to invert the word order in the sentences.
Of course copying first to notepad and then to Word easily solves the problem
    Hope it helps
    Nitay

    Just a thought —
Perhaps the Middle Eastern version of Acrobat would deal with spaces appropriately.
Regardless, while using what is currently installed; try export of PDF page content to a text file.
Open the text file with MS Word. It the result is similar to the outcome of the copy-paste to notepad it might be a little simpler work flow.
    Be well...

    some behaviour notes.
    1. If I call the proc directly, I dont see the huge IO, its only dbms_job.run that does it.
    2. If I call the dbms_job.run a second time I dont see it, its only when I flush the shared pool which simulates the first time I could be calling the proc which is how I found it initially
    3. If I call the dbms_job.run outside of a proc I do see it.
    4. Watch your IO and CPU if you generate it. Huge spike to coincide with the figures in the trace.
    5. 4294967293 is very close 2^32, is also the size of my shared pool so looks like entire pool is being dumped.
    6. Have reproduced on 3 instances on 3 separate servers. all same version 11.2.0.2.0 and patch level which is 2012 Q2.
    7. change the proc to have the variable commented out and we dont see the dump.
    8. I have a call open with support a while now but havent been able to reproduce on their side. Interested to see if someone has OEL 5, 11.2.0.2 instance, can generate it and also an 11.2.0.3 instance and can show its not in that.
    thanks.

I am suspecting this is a tkprof issue, analyzing the same trace file via orasrp doesnt show this behavior. Also the high physical reads shown are missing in the raw trace file.Im not so sure, I can see it in the raw trace file.
do you see it in raw trace file? if so can you post the STAT line showing high disk read (pr=nnnnnnnn) values ? I dont see it in the trace file that i generated.

  • HTTP adapter, SSL and wildcard certificate

    Hi,
I am developing a B2B integration solution using BizTalk Server. The protocol used to communicate with the partner’s server is HTTPS and so it uses SSL.
The certificate the partner is using to establish SSL connections is provided by GeoTrust but it is a wildcard certificate, issued to *.*.*.company.com
The server I am trying to contact to is on a domain of the form: a.b.c.company.com (which seems to match the wildcard).
When I try to open an HTTPS connection to the server (either through Internet Explorer, a .Net Windows Application or BizTalk), the connection cannot be established because the certificate is said to not be trusted. For example, Internet Explorer shows a pop-up message saying that:
    - The certificate is issued from a valid CA
    - The certificate date is valid
    - The name of the certificate is NOT matching the name of the site. This means that the certificate is issued for a domain different that the one we are accessing to. So it seems that the wildcard system is not working for this certificate? Is that possible if they aquire a wrong type of certificate by mistake? or is multipart wildcard certificate (*.*.*) not supported?
Anyway even if their certificate is not 100% valid, they refuse to change it as their other partners work with that and they won't change to a proper certificate just for us...
In .Net 2.0 code, it is easy to circumvent any certificate validation by setting the delegate ServicePointManager.ServerCertificateValidationCallback to a callback method with something like:
    ServicePointManager.ServerCertificateValidationCallback = delegate(Object obj, X509Certificate certificate, X509Chain chain, SslPolicyErrors errors)  { return true; };
Nevertheless, I need to achieve this sort of circumvention with BizTalk Server 2006 and I would like to know if anyone ever did that.
I am aware that I can write my own custom HTTP Adapter but I need this urgently so I thought of asking this forum's community first. Maybe someone as a quicker way than writing a custom adapter such as some "hack" (registry keys, custom class... ) or knows of an existing custom adapter already doing the job.
    Thanks in advance,
    Best regards,
    Francois Malgreve

The certificate needs to be installed as a explicitly trusted certificate in the store under the computer a/c on the BzTalk machine and then it'll work. Refer

  • Could someone help me to clearly distinguish between SOAP and HTTP adapter?

In which scenarios we can go for HTTP adapter and when to go for SOAP adapter?

    Hi Lekshmi !!
A SOAP message will be bundled inside the soap envelope.HTTP is not an adapter in adapter engine whereas soap is an adapter i.e, HTTP doesn't require a communication channel where as SOAP requires. You can send soap messages using some SOAP client.
SOAP Adapter is used to xchange SOAP messages bw remote clients and webservices....
check this link for more differences..
    SOAP and HTTP adapter
When you need to Send Data to XI from a Webservice , your SOAP adapter is used.
HTTP adapter is used when you want to post a HTTP request message from a web application to XI.
How can i make use of SOAP Sender Adapter without using any tools like XML Spy etc....
XML SPy is used as a TEST tool when you are sending SOAP information to XI. TO actually send data , you need to configure a webservice and construct a SOAP request message and post the data .
we use SOAP adapter when we need to connect to remote system or use Webservices in these cases we use SOAP adapter.
HTTP Adapter is used by extenal systems to connect to Intergartin server using native HTTP Interface.
the http adapter is a service which is directly connected to integration engine. Adapter Framework (Java) isnt involved. It is much more performant than SOAP adapter.
The SOAP adapter is written in Java and is responsible for the SOAP envelope around the real XML message. You can build/remove that envelope as well in the mapping and use instead http adapter. But standard for webservices is using SOAP adapter.

  • How to send the payload to a jsp using receiver Http adapter?

    Hi experts,
I have this scenario from Legacy to XI to external app server.I have a test jsp to execute that functionality .Its a jsp which has 1 textarea named "test" and when I click on the submit buton I get a response back.
Now Basically I am not able to get how to send the value to the textarea "test"? please provide help as soon as possible.Do we have to put the name of the jsp in the "path" in http adapter and use prolog as test=.I tried this but it doesnt work.
Is there any way to check the URL that it forms after appending the querystring in the url ...?
So please provide help on this or suggest a solution to [email protected] as soon as possible.....
    Thanx in advance.
    Akshata

    hey Shekhar,
thanx for that prompt reply but I have configured the communication channel in the same manner as suggested by u.
actually I have this jsp page http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8080/abcdef/try/efg.jsp where there is a textarea "test" which has to be filled and there is a submit button. When I test this http client i.e the above jsp page independently then it goes to handler
http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8080/abcdef/trial/    And it gives a proper response message after clicking on the submit button.
now I want to carry out the same using receiver http adapter. I need to pass the value for this inputfield names "test" on that jsp . so right now I have configyured the adapter as
    addressing type: url
    target host : xx.xx.xx.xx
    service no:8080
path : here I have given the path of handler i.e /abcdef/trial I tried giving the jsp page also but logically I guess it should be the handler.
    content type: text/xml; charset=iso-8859-1
    xml code: UTF-8
Mask special characters (URL escaping) checked.
now since the name of the inputfield is "test" in the prolog I gave test=
But it doesnt work I get this error "http request parameter [test] is null" in the response message  which I guess suggests that it is not able to send the value for the field"test" to that handler. Please suggest how to send this and tell me if there are any other configurations that I have to do in the receiver communication channel.
    Thanx ,
    Akshata
