HTTP calls to ABAP system
I am pretty new to ABAP technology and want to know what all do I need to read (links will be helpful) to achieve making HTTP calls to ABAP system?
I want to have some sort of REST based APIs which I can call using say browser to ABAP?
Any example or tutorial will be helpful.

Load balance for HTTP Connection to ABAP System (Type H) RFC connection
Experts,
For proxy we are using HTTP Connection to ABAP System (Connection type H) RFC connection in PI to get connected to ECC. I only see the option to use Target host in the Target system settings than Load balance option. In general ABAP Connection (Connection type 3) has Load balancing status option in Target system settings.
My requirement is I should use a logon group with the message server when PI connects to ECC. How can we achieve this? At the moment I can only use the Central Instance or any dialog server (App server) in RFC but not a logon group.
Thanks in advance.

HTTP Connection to ABAP System - Query String Not Allowed message
Hi All,
We are trying to create HTTP Connection to ABAP System on a SAP ECC system.
Following entries are added
1 Connection Type: H
2 Target Host: Host name
3 Service Number: HTTP Port name
4 Path Prefix: /sap/XI/engine/?type=entry
It is not allowing me to enter Path prefix as "/sap/XI/engine/?type=entry". It is throwing a warning message as "Query String Not Allowed message".
As per the documentation it is mentioned that -<b> If the system displays the Query String Not Allowed message, you can ignore it.</b>
It is not allowing me to save the entries succesfully . I need to remove the path refix entry then only i am able to save other wise it is not allowing me to proceed at all.
Please let me know what entry i can put for the same or let me know how can i ignore and proceed by saving the path prefix as "/sap/XI/engine/?type=entry".
Please provide your valuable help on this.

How to enable HTTPS Port in abap system
Hello All,
Hope all are doing great, can any one please tell me the procedure step by step how can i enable https port in my only abap system,is it required to enable ssl also for this?..
Regards,
SyedHi,
For enabling the HTTPS port you need to do alot many things
At first change the para meters in Rz10
icm/server_port_0 - PROT=HTTPS, PORT=1443, TIMEOUT=900
icm/HTTPS/verify_client - 1
ms/server_port_0 - PROT=HTTPS, PORT=1443
SE80 - Utilities > Settings > Internet Transaction Sevrer = HTTPS
and also check SMICM under Services HTTPS is not showing as Active
and still if you are facing any issue with the port check with the network team/firewall team whether any port is being blocked on the network/firewall.

PrasadHello Michal,
Thanks for your response.
Part of this problem has been solved right now...the http port on the R/3 server is 8002 and not 8000!!
Changing the port solved my problem from XI to R/3.
But the R/3 to XI error persists with the same behaviour. I have checked with BASIS, no firewall exists in between.
I have used the ip add while creating the http conn....do I have to change this elsewhere?

Restricting number of http calls to XI3.0 system
Hello,
Is there any way to restrict the number of http calls from a particular source to XI3.0system? For example if client A making 1000 http calls to XI system., I want to restrict the calls of this particular client to only 300 or divide the calls into certain chunks? Please advice.
Thanks in advance.Hi Guys ,
Because the destination from client 20 to Integration Server is running it can't be a problem with configuration of XI.
in my opinion it is a network problem or some problems with the Sending ERP System.
you test also to make a destination from other R/3 systems like CRM right?
and nothing works?
Test to send a Message from this server with wfetch, if this will not work.. it must be a network problem.

The ABAP call stack was: SYSTEM-EXIT of program BBPGLOBAL
Hi
We are using SRM 5.0. We are facing a strange problem. We are able to see the initial screen of SRM EBP in the browser. But once the user name and password are provided the system goes for a dump with the following error:
The following error text was processed in the system SS0 : System error
The error occurred on the application server <Server Name> and in the work process 0 .
The termination type was: ABORT_MESSAGE_STATE
The ABAP call stack was: SYSTEM-EXIT of program BBPGLOBAL
<b>SM21 Log:</b>
Short Text
Transaction Canceled &9&9&5 ( &a &b &c &d &e &f &g &h &i )
The transaction has been terminated. This may be caused by a
termination message from the application (MESSAGE Axxx) or by an error
detected by the SAP System due to which it makes no sense to proceed
with the transaction. The actual reason for the termination is
indicated by the T100 message and the parameters.

I just checked these threads but did not help much,
RABAX_STATE error after loggin into BBPSTART service in SRM 4.
ITS_TEMPLATE_NOT_FOUND error
Besides I tried this note: 790727 as well, still I get the same error.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Kathirvel BalakrishnanHi
<u>Please do the following steps.</u>
<b>When you are using the Internal ITS,you need not run the report W3_PUBLISH_SERVICES.(only SIAC_PUBLISH_ALL_INT )
ALso pls check the foll:
-->activate the services through SICF tcode.
> Go to SICF transaction and activate the whole tree under the node Default host>sap>bc>gui>sap>its.
>Also maintain the settings in SE80>utilities>settings>internet transaction server-->test service/Publish. (BBPSTART , BBPGLOBAL etc)
Table TWPURLSVR should have entries for the / SRM server line as well as gui and web server.
Could you please review again the following steps ?
Did you check that ICM was working correctly (Transaction - SMICM) ?
1-Activate the necessary ICF services
With transaction SICF and locate the
services by path
/sap/public/bc/its/mimes
/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui
2- Publish the IAC Services
With Transaction SE80 locate from
the menu Utilities -> Settings ->
Internet Transaction Server (Tab) ->
Publish (Tab) and set On Selected
Site = INTERNAL.
3- Locate the Internet Services SYSTEM and WEBGUI.
Publish these services with the Context
Menu -> Publish -> Complete Service
4- Browse to http://<server>:<icmport>/sap/bc/gui/
sap/its/webgui/! and login to the
webgui.</b>
Hope this will help.
Please reward suitable points.

Error when calling R3 backend system
Hi,
I have a scenario that sends some data to a Z_Bapi on our R3 system. The process is failing but I'm SXI_MONI I'm not getting errors reported and I'm not getting the last message from my Inegration Process to my R3 system reported.
However when I look at the PE and examine the send message synchrounously Work item, I can see the error in the graphic view. The process runs all the way through my various steps but should then perfrom a transformation before calling the R3 system. The transformation isn't shown on the graphic and I get an error image which looks like a broken red block on the step which sends the data to the r3 system.
I realise this is a little cryptic so have provided a trace of the PE manager to see if that helps. I have checked my adapter (in the adapter monitoring part of the runtime workbench) and that is working fine. I would be extremely grateful to anyone who was able to help.
Thanks in advance
John

Pls check in SXI_CACHE to verify that the BPM(active in Integration Repository) has the latest version active on the ABAP stack.(I am saying this because you mentioned that a mapping step was missing..is it not..)
go to SXI_CACHE --> Integration Processes(double click), in the list that you get verify that the return code is 0.
Thanks & Regards,

Error while trying to call a ABAP webdynpro appl. as a link on html form
Hi,
When I am trying to call a ABAP Webdynpro aplication as a link on html form. I get the following error
Error when processing your request
What has happened?
The URL http:///sap/bc/webdynpro/form_ap/ (Path of ABAP webdynpro application) was not called due to an error.
Note
The following error text was processed in the system DRD : Error in Web Dynpro Runtime System
The error occurred on the application server DRD_06 and in the work process 0 .
The termination type was: RABAX_STATE
The ABAP call stack was:
Method: GET_REQUEST_INPLUG_PARAMETERS of program CL_WDR_CLIENT_APPLICATION=====CP

What can I do?
If the termination type was RABAX_STATE, then you can find more information on the cause of the termination in the system DRD in transaction ST22.
If the termination type was ABORT_MESSAGE_STATE, then you can find more information on the cause of the termination on the application server DRD_06 in transaction SM21.
If the termination type was ERROR_MESSAGE_STATE, then you can search for more information in the trace file for the work process 0 in transaction ST11 on the application server DRD_06 . In some situations, you may also need to analyze the trace files of other work processes.
If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.

SAP certified professional - ABAP system interfaces with SAP netweaver 7.0
Hi,
I have one and half years experience in ABAP. I want to do "SAP CERTIFIED DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL - ABAP SYSTEM INTERFACES WITH SAP NETWEAVER 7.0".
I am currently in U.S and would like to do the certification here. Whom do I need to contact and what are the documents I need to furnish. Please throw some light on the process.
Thanks,
Poonam.Dear Poonam,
the "Professional"-Certification is very very hard - during my last Certifcation Exam, all candidates with the Pro-Exam failed (I was so glad I chose the normal certification...)
Here's how to book your exam:
Go to [http://www.sap.com/services/education/certification/index.epx|http://www.sap.com/services/education/certification/index.epx] and follow the instructions ("visit the local SAP Education Web site for the country").
Figure out the exam code for your certification. Example: For the US, there is a downloadable list (PDF) of exams available, called "list of the available certification exams".
Schedule the exam according to the rules of your region - here is the link for the US:
Regards,
Klaus
