HTTP-CODE 500 when POST via https

Hi,
I've a serious problem here. When I try to post some data to a https server I'll always get an 500 internal Server Error back. What could be the problem? Here is my code that is responsible for posting:
        System.setProperty("proxySet","true");
        System.setProperty("https.proxyHost",prxy);
        System.setProperty("https.proxyPort",prxyPrt);
String hh = "https://" + host;
            URL u = new URL(hh);
            con = (HttpsURLConnection)u.openConnection();
            con.setDoOutput(true);
            con.setDoInput(true);
            PrintWriter out = new PrintWriter(con.getOutputStream());
            out.write(daPost);
            out.flush();
            BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(con.getInputStream()));
            int c;
            while((c = in.read()) != -1) {
                System.out.write(c);
            con.disconnect();The stuff that is stored in daPost is bullet-proof correct, because when it is posted with a VB-Application everything is ok........ and it is verified that both my java-application and the vb-application are producing the same POST-Data
What could be the problem?
Big thx in advance.
LoCal

Did you try to make the same post from an html form using a browser? That might show some extra info on what the problem with the post excactly is. Also, you are using a proxy server, the 500 reply could come from the host you are posting to, but also from the proxy server.
What's in host? Is there a full url in it, or just the hostname? It might be you are trying to post to "https://somewhere.com" instead of to "https://somewhere.com/somescript.cgi".

  • Http code 500 internal server error

    Hi all!
    I hope someone can help me out.
    A few days ago Windows crashed (some Explorer failure) and I had to restore Vista back on my pc. I also had to reinstall DW CS3. It all used to work fine but now I get an '500 internal server error'. When I fill in the data in the 'manage sites' and I test my connections (both remote and testing server) it connects fine. When I make a new recordset and test it, I get the error:
    Has anybody had this problem? I do not know what to do anymore.
    Thanks in advance, with the best regards from Holland,
    Martijn

    Hi,
    Yes, I'm referring to the DSN's setup on the remote server.
    I'm getting fed up with this bug....

    I'm also getting an HTTP 500 error from the server, even though the recordset tested successfully,
    and the records were displayed in Live View. The server can process ASP, it displays pages created
    with ASPMaker. In your reply, are you referring to the DSN's set up on the remote server?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    In addition, I recommend you check whether you have additional Authentication methods (like ASP.NET Impersonation) enabled.
    Disable the authentication method and try again.
    Also, please review the link below, here is a article about troubleshoot ISAPI filter issue.

  • Adobe DRM Activator error Client Code:  31 - HTTP Code:  500

    a few years ago I bought a "C++ Primer" programming book from Amazon. The book is no longer downloadable from Amazon... the DRM version has gone to some other DRM format. THIS IS MY FIRST AND LAST DIGITAL DRM BOOK.
    I have not been able to read it although I shelled out a whoppy $45.00 USD. Adobe Digital Edition is stupid and find it awkward to use. I found one copy of the book on my old laptop that appears to be not corrupt. I'm now trying to read it from my desktop (its a 23 inch screen. Adobe suppport SUCKS, I've been at trying to open this DRM book for several Years now. The last time ADE kept kicking back "No internet connection" when I clearly have a one.
    Now I'm getting this error pasted from ADE after adding the book to my library (<---stupid term for this but it is what it is). I JUST WANT TO OPEN THE BOOK I PAID FOR. I'm suppose to be able to open this book on SIX different PCs...WTF

  • Office Web Apps - Preview not appearing when acccessing via HTTPS

    I have installed Sharepoint 2013 and Office Web Apps, set the wopibinding, and set the wopizone to be https-external. Everything seems to work fine if accessing the web app using HTTP (can open, edit, preview office web app (WAC) documents)... but if
    I access via HTTPS then I run into a mixed content error when trying to preview the WAC documents... I can open them and edit them without issue using office web apps inside the browser though just not preview.
    If I select "New document" it also takes a while to load and displays a blank pop up window... assume it must be related

    Hi  ,
    Before you configure SharePoint 2013 to use Office Web Apps Server via HTTPS, make sure that you have set up Office Web Apps Server by following the steps in Deploy
    a single-server Office Web Apps Server farm that uses HTTPS or Deploy a multi-server, load-balanced Office Web Apps Server farm
    that uses HTTPS.

  • EEM - puts action fails in EEM applet/script when called via HTTP

    I have an EEM script which produces some diagnostic output.  The script is written to be initiated by "event manager run" and is running in sync mode.  Script uses "puts" into stdout to produce the output.  Everything is working fine, except when script is initiated via HTTP/HTTPS I get no output.
    To reproduce the issue I have created the following applet:
    event manager applet TEST1
    event none sync yes
    action 1 puts nonewline "SOMETEXT"
    Here is output from command line (tested from console and telnet):
    router#event manager run TEST1
    SOMETEXT
    router#
    When applet is called via HTTP using http://router/level/15/exec/-/event/manager/run/TEST1/CR URL the output is empty.  The test message goes to the console versus to HTTP reply.
    So it looks like the stdout is not redirected to HTTP session successfully.
    Any advice on why it is happening, or better yet how to fix it would be apprecaited.

    Thank you.  This is also what I was thinking.  As you probably already know I have opened a TAC case on the matter.

  • Provisioning failed: HTTP code=500 - Meaning?

    On webGUI of SX10 recently upgraded to 7.2.0.
    TMS visibility is fine
    Endpoint operates fine
    TMS is able to send and clear phonebooks fine.
    No Endpoint Troubleshooting Guide avail. for this soft. version (as of this writing)
    What is cause of this?  Network issue with certain traffic?

    HTTP Error 500 is a response back from the server, and a generic one when it can't be more specific about what failed.
    What are your provisioning settings set to on your SX10 (Configuration > System Configuration > Provisioning)?  Are they pointing to the correct Provisioning Mode, ExternalManager Address, Path and Protocol?

  • Error 500 when posting large form to windows azure from Android

    I have a HTML page with a form containing a large (>1400 character) hidden field value, that will not submit on Android browser to any site hosted on windows azure websites. I have tested this on 4.1 and 4.2 on different devices.
    I have checked the error logs from Azure and am receiving a 500 error.
    The page will submit from all modern desktop browsers, and iOS devices.
    Unfortunately I can not provide a link to the actual page, as it resides under our companies extranet, but if I point the target of this simple form to any Azure website (*.azurewebsites.net) from an android device, I get the 500 error.
        <form action="http://*****.azurewebsites.net/" method="post">

    To further test this I created a brand new site on azure websites, leaving everything as default. No code or anything uploaded (so you get the "This web site has been successfully created" page). Posting the form to this site gives a 405 response
    (as expected), except for android that gives the 500.
    Is there a setting or something I am missing somewhere?
    Following up, I have identified this event in the error log if this helps:
    138. GENERAL_READ_ENTITY_END
    BytesReceived="0", ErrorCode="The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request.

    Originally I thought it may have been a browser issue, so I installed the latest Chrome and Firefox browsers as well, which all respond the same.
    This is on 2 separate devices, both modern hardware running Android v4.1 and v4.2

    Dear All,
    I found the solution!
    In my AP Invoice, there was a Rounding amount, but when I copied over to AP Credit Note, the system unusually set the Rounding amount as $0.00 and copies the Rounding amount to the Discount field instead.
    **The "Invalid Account Code" error happened because I did not set GL account determination for discounts scenario.
    So what I did was I cleared the Discount field in the Credit Note, and enter the rounding figure into the Rounding field again. Then, the AP Credit Note was able to go in Successfully!
    Thanks guys.

  • 070302ex603 Formatting errors when posting via BD87 transaction

    Hi experts,
    When posting idocs manually via transaction BD87 all users receive "Formatting error in the field BSEG-WRBTR..." or "Formating error in the field BKPF-BUDAT..." regardless of personal user settings. When the same idoc is posted via scheduler it posts without any error. Can anybody help me out in this issue.
    Points will be rewarded.
    With thanks in advance

    Hi
    Go to T code ST22. here for the user id in which the dump is generated, click on how to rectify. The system will give you a probable resolution for the problem.  In many cases, there would be some key words, on which you need to serach for a suitable note of SAP to resolve the dump. Take the hlp of your ABAPER also

  • [Exchange-Online][EWS-XML][JAVA][OAUTH2] Getting HTTP status code 500 when using OAUTH2 client credential grant flow as authorization method

    Hi,
    i'm working on enhancing a service to be able to use OAUTH2 as authentication protocol with client credential grant flow when talking to exchange online ( like described here:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/exchangedev/archive/2015/01/22/building-demon-or-service-apps-with-office-365-mail-calendar-and-contacts-apis-oauth2-client-credential-flow.aspx ). I gave my application the rights
    Office 365 Exchange Online : Application Permissions: "Have full access via EWS to all mailboxes ....."
    Windows Azure Active AD: Application Permissions: "Read Directory data", Delegate Permissions: "Enable sign-on and read users_ profiles"
    I receive a access token from log.windows.net:

    If i use BASIC authentication and impersonation the request is successfully.
    Has anyone an idea why i might get the error 500 in that scenario?

    For EWS to work with App Token, you need to do two more things. One you already did: Set the impersonation header. Two is to set the X-AnchorMailbox http request header to the smtp address of the mailbox you want to access. This routes the request instantly
    to the right backend.
    Hope this helps.
    Thank you! Matthias

  • Http status code: 500 when testing Request Response API

    Hi,
    I published a web service and used the test function in the dashboard for a trial. But it returned HTTP 500.
    The request url is:
    https://ussouthcentral.services.azureml.net/workspaces/a5a6b2af17e749a29ae820df3ea5bdf2/services/ecfa1355485e4ed6a9767be2842452fb/execute?api-version=2.0&details=true
    In particular, I tried removing the quantile binning, then it worked. But with quantile binning, I keep getting errors.
    Any suggestions?

    Hmm, not quite - if it is truly the training set, you do not need it in the web service right?
    In fact, an RRS endpoint will expect an input set, so do you need the Reader module? If you use the Web Service Input module, it will bypass the Reader with the provided input data for scoring time.
    You are using Quantize Data correct? This module outputs two things: the transformed data and the
    transformation function itself. You need to Right Click -> Save as Transform, and use THIS in your scoring experiment + Apply Transformation.
    If you do this, the transformation does not need to be recomputed. If you leave Quantize Data in your graph, then your function will indeed be recomputed.
