HTTP Connection Test

Hi All,
Iam using File to Proxy scenario.
When testing for HTTP connection test in SM59, it is giving reply as " Empty HTTP Request Received Message processing not possible "
Iam also attaching the generated warning message.
- <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">

  <SAP:P4 />
  <SAP:AdditionalText />
  <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
  <SAP:Stack>Empty HTTP query received; message processing not possible</SAP:Stack>
  </SAP:Error>
Any additional settings are to be done or it works.
My BASIS PEOPLE are tilling it is not a problem.
But, my sence is not permitting.

Hi,
I guess that you run sm59 on XI server towards business system on which you want to implement server proxy.
The RFC destination H type. If it is right, then the response that you  have received from business system is correct.
You can go further with your development.

Jakub

  • Error testing configuration: "HTTP connection failed"

    Hello all,
    I get the following error message when I want to test a configuration with the Configuration Test Tool (I replaced the hostname):
    Internal Error
    HTTP connection to ABAP Runtime failed.
    Error: 403 Forbidden
    URL: http://<hostname>:8065/sap/xi/simulation?sap-client=
    User: XIDIRUSER
    The error appears in the second step (Sender Agreement works, Receiver Determination the error appears).
    Seems as if the client is missing in URL. Or is it anything else? What could I do to avoid this error?
    Thanks and regards
    Joschi

    Hi Joachim,
    Do you resolve the problem?  If not, check the service in PI.
    Your simulation service is not active.  So use transaction sicf to activate the simulation service under XI.  Hope this will help.

  • How  to create and test HTTP connection for proxy

    HI
    Can anybody help me by providing step by step guide for how to create a HTTP connection for inbound abap proxy?
    How i will get sure that connection is working properly?
    Thanks
    Debraj

    Hi Debraj,
       You should be able to do that in SM59 of the XI Box.
    Create the connection under "HTTP Connections to R/3 System".
    Provide the Target Host IP Address.Service Number and Path Prefix.
    Select the logon procedure as SAP Standard.
    SSL Inactive.
    Provide Logon details.

  • SAP_PROXY_ESR: Problem with the 'Connection Test' on transaction SM59

    Hi,
    I have a problem when eject the 'Connection Test' command on Transaction SM59.
    I made the RFC Destination SAP_PROXY_ESR with:
    Technical Settings
    Conection Type: G
    Target Host: my_host
    Path Prefix: /rep
    Service No: 1080
    Logon Security

    SSL Client Certificate: DFAULT SSL CLIENT (Standard)
    User: ers_user

    IFR_PASSWORD     ESR_USER     esr_password
    IFR_USER             ESR_USER     ESR_USER
    In the transaction SM59 (RFC Destination SAP_PROXY_ESR) I'm making the 'Connection Test' but this command give the Message: ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED.
    In the program SPROX_CHECK_IFR_ADDRESS
    Message: 'Cannot determine repository version'
    Log_1- No vendor specified
    Log_2- No vendor specified
    I don't know the reason of this messaje.
    I tried change the Service No. with others Ports but, the error is the same everytime.
    Can anyone help me please?
    NOTE: In my landscape, i dont have the Stack JAVA installed.
    Thanks and Regards

    But the Enterprise Services Repository is Java.
    the /rep points to the folder of the Repository.
    the ESR is part of SAP PI or CE.

  • Making https: connection from java code loaded into Oracle 8i database

    A bit of a blast from the past, really, as 8i provides a JVM at 1.2.2.
    I need to provide an PL/SQL function which accesses a RESTful web service requiring https connection. Got the call working under 1.2 locally without much trouble using:
    static {
            System.setProperty("java.protocol.handler.pkgs",
                    "com.sun.net.ssl.internal.www.protocol");
            Security.addProvider(new com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider());
        }The trick is to get the Oracle database to run the code internally. What libraries do I need where? I get an extremely unhelpful NoClassDefFoundError, without mention of the offending class.
    By doing loadjava with jcert.jar,. jnet.jar and jsse.jar (the libraries I'm using with the test program) I can get loadjava to accept and allegedly resolve the class.

    Well, sadly look at the colour scheme.Yeah, sarcastic was I. The NoClassDef error seriously doesn't give a class name? I find it astonishing that any implementation would be that stupid.Seriously. The strange thing is that before I got to the NoClassDefFound I had a Initialization error (until I added a security rule for setting the Provider) and for that I got a full stack trace (in an obscure trace file, granted).

  • HTTPS connection from servlet to another webserver

    Hi,
    We want to make a https connection from a servlet in weblogic server to another
    web server (not necessarily weblogic). We also need dual authentication. But whenever
    we use URL.openConnection(), it always returns us weblogic's internal https and
    SSL implementation. Since weblogic has no documentation about how to use these
    internal classes, such as how to set trusted server certificate, and how to set
    client certificate (servlet is a client of another web server). We want to use
    jsse, after setting JSSE required system properties, I still get a weblogic's
    httpsURLConnection. Can any of you tell me how to resolve this issue?
    Thanks.
    Xinshi

    Yeah, I'm using JSSE now. Here is what I did:
    Security.addProvider(new com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provide());
    Provider prov = new SimpleSecureProvider();
    prov.setProperty("SecureRandom.efficient", "test.EfficientSecureRandom");
    Security.insertProviderAt(prov, 1);
    You don't really need the provider stuff to get the example working. I use it
    to get around a quick in JSSE where the random number generator takes 15-30 seconds
    to generate a random sequence at start up.
    SimpleSecureProvider looks like this:
    public class SimpleSecureProvider extends Provider
    public SimpleSecureProvider()
    super("SimpleSecureProvider-", 1.0, "Hack to enable more efficient random
    seed generator");
    test.EfficientSecureRandom is bascially an exact copy of Sun's SecureRandom.java
    with the only difference that I used my own random number generator.
    Anyway, rest of the code you need looks like this:
    URL url= new URL("htps://someplace.com");
    URLConnection sconnection = url.openConnection();
    Do whatever.
    I also stored jcert.jar, jnet.jar, jsse.jar in /usr/java/jdk1.3/lib/ext
    I think that is everything.
    I just noticed that service pack 9 has a security example that does not require
    all these jsse hacks. I'm trying to get it to work, but not having much luck.
    Anybody got this working right?

  • Server closing the http connection

    We are trying to load test our app which takes an xml message thru
              http request. The request to our app is redirected from CSS (Cisco
              content services switch) load balancer. Our app is running in a
              clustered environment with 2 servers.
              When we tried to post 100 simultaneous messages (in turn 100 http
              requests) originating from the same java client program running on
              only one machine, we get an excception "Connection reset by peer:
              JVM_recv
              Socket write error".
              All these 100 requests are simultaneous and like that we ran the tests
              4 consecutive times without any delay.
              When we ran the tests thru the weblogic proxy server (the one that
              uses HttpClusterServlet) we did not face any connection issues like
              this.
              I'm wondering if this is a load-balancer problem or a weblogic
              problem.

    We're doing all the url connections thru our java program which
              creates 100 simultaneous threads which in turn becomes 100
              simultaneous posts. Someone is also suggesting that there is a time
              limit that CSS has before it received the content frame from the
              client once it opens the http connection. I'm not sure if that is
              true.

  • Problem with ABAP proxies - HTTP connection to R/3 is not working

    Hi guys!
    I'm setting up a connection from XI to R/3 , because I'm using proxy objects. Our DEV is working fine. Now I have moved the objects to QA and since the HTTP connection is not there, I need to set it up.
    I have created a service user on R/3, activated ICF service on R/3 and created a HTTP to abap type connection in XI. When I test the connection I get a new logon screen. Why? I have provided information about logon user, client, ....
    Thank you! Olian

    Hi,
    this logon screen populated when the RFC User ID is locaked. ask your basis team to release it.
    also refer below links if in case of any other problem

    Did you try the servlet directly from your browser? Does it work?

  • HTTP connectivity error while using Blackberry MDS and JDE 5.0.0

    Hello,
    I am using BB MDS simulator 4.1.2 and BB JDE 5.0.0 for testing sample Oracle ADF Mobile client apps that I have developed.
    My app tries to access webservices via HTTP.
    Here is where I am encountering a HTTP connectivity issue.
    1. For instance, while trying to test HTTP using Blackberry browser, I see the error : "Unknown host mobile.blackberry.com:80"
    2. The sample I tried to run to test webservices - accepts a word from the user and gets it translated in to a desired language, using a webservice provided on the internet.
    Here, I have tried to translate the word 'madam' from English to French.
    I have encountered a HTTP/1.0 400 Bad Request.
    Kindly have a look at the MDS Trace as below (related entries in bold) and suggest if I am missing something from the configuration perspective.
    PS : I have tried various options from the blackberry forums but they were not very helpful.

    Hi, there:
    A couple of things to try and check:
    - Does your network connection goes through proxy server? If you are behind a proxy server, then you would need to set up proxy server in MDS by open the file <MDS simulator install>/config/rimpublic.property, go to the [HTTP Handler] section, and add the following line:
    application.handler.http.proxyEnabled = true
    application.handler.http.proxyHost=<your proxy server host name>
    application.handler.http.proxyPort=<your proxy server port>
    - Try BlackBerry MDS simulator that came with JDE 5.0. MDS 4.1.2 should still work with 5.0 device simulators, but it's worth a shot
    Can you hit the web service from the browser in your Blackberry simulator? Feel free to directly contact me at [email protected] - if necessary we can also pull in BlackBerry/RIM resources to help diagnose this.
    Thanks,
    Joe Huang

    Hmm.. Thank you for the response.
    Have you tried using the iPod with another user account or computer, to help narrow down whether the problem lies with the computer, account, or the iPod itself?
    Maybe try reformatting it, using the tools provided by Windows. Instructions on how to reformat your iPod can be found in this article.

  • Power Bi for o365 - Odata connection test worked but "The server encountered an error processing the request. See server logs for more details". Port 8051? Authority\System

    We set up the Data Management Gateway and created a new data source (odata to SQL via sqL user)
    Did a connection test and it was successful!
    Tried the URL (maybe it needs more):
    https://ourdomain.hybridproxy.powerbi.com/ODataService/v1.0/odatatest
    That resolves to some :8051 port address and then spits out this message:
    The server encountered an error processing the request. See server logs for more details.
    I checked and the data management gateway is running.
    Does that 8051 port need to be opened on our firewall for this server? How can I confirm that is the issue.. I see no event on the server indicating this is the issue?
    I am seeing this event:
    Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'. Reason: Failed to open the explicitly specified database 'PowerBiTest'. [CLIENT: IP of the Server]

    O365,
    Is this still an issue?
    Thanks!
