HTTP requests & Access from a SAP Environment + DMZ

Dear Experts,
I don't know if i write in the right topic but if it is wrong, do accept my apologize.
Currently, i have installed a SAP ECC 6.0 IDES + a SAP EP 7.0 Enterprise Portal + a SAP Solution Manager 7.0 (SAP Zone) with a SAP Router whitch is in a DMZ (See image this link for more details : http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/1603/sdniu3.jpg)
In the SAP Zone, when i try to connect to Internet everything works. From the LAN or from other place, impossible to connect to http://<hostname>:5XX00/irj/portal from EP7 for example.
I have poor skills in network and security and i would like to know what do you suggest me?
1/ Can a SAP WebDispatcher be usefull in the DMZ?
2/ Do i have to install IIS or APACHE for this?
My own goal is to access for HTTP Request (http://<hostname>:5XX00/irj/portal for example) from the LAN or outside the NetWork.
Thank you very much in advance for your helps.
Best regards,
Pascal.

Hello Rainer Kunert,
thank you for replying. I forget to say that there are only 2 ports opened to "outside" the SAP Zone. Inside the SAP Zone, i can sign in the portal with the port 5XX00 for example. For security reason, there will be only one way to pass throught the DMZ via 1 or 2 ports maximum. Outside the SAP Zone, i could access to the SAP System with SAP Logon but with a t-code whitch use http request (for example se80 for a package program) there is no effect but inside the SAP Zone, everything's ok.
I just want to know what do you mean by "Web Application Firewall" and "appliance". Do you have an example or something explaining it please?
Thank you very much again.
Best regards,
Pascal.

  • Allow-http-request-headers-from    Question

    I have a crossdomain.xml file in place, but am still getting this error:
    "Security error accessing url"
    I searched the web and is it true that because I am accessing a SOAP web service I need to add this to the crosssdomain.xml file:
    <allow-http-request-headers-from domain="MYDOMAINHERE" headers="SOAPAction"/>
    Is there anything else from a crossdomain.xml file perspective, or anything else in general to be able to access these web services from my Flex app?
    Thanks for your responses.

    The SWF is at MyDomain.com (for example).
    The crossdomain.xml file is on the 3rd party web service provider at the root of their web server, and it correctly has an entry to MyDomain.com.
    The exact error is "Security error accessing url".
    I read on the web that when accessing SOAP web services you need to add these entries to the crossdomain.xml file:
    <allow-http-request-headers-from domain="MyDomain.com" headers="SOAPAction"/>
    Is that the case and is there anything else extra I need to do to get web services to work in this case?
    Thanks Alex, for helping with this.

  • Possible to get runtime info (Http request, response) from a WD4A Appl.?

    Hey,
    In a BSP / JSP application, it is possible to retrieve and set the runtime data (http request and response). For Example:
    response.setContentType("application/x-suvaagent;charset=iso-8859-1");
    response.setHeader("Cache-Control", "public");
    response.getWriter().print("<Request>");
    response.getWriter().print("</Request>");
    Is it possible to do this in a WebDynpro (ABAP) Application?
    The requirement is to construct a file using http response method. This file contains parameters like business data etc. The file type is already registered as a MIME type which is associated with a standalone program.
    When sending the http response, the file will be filled out with needed data and the associated program will be called using the data in the file.
    I haven't found out how to do this in web dynpro application, since we use WD4A in our project.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Liang

    In Web Dynpro you do not have direct access to the Request or Response object. This is part of the design of the abstracted rendering and makes things like the SmartClient and the AJAX based Delta Rendering possible.
    In Web Dynpro you should use the FileDownload UI element or the CL_WD_RUNTIME_SERVICES=>ATTACH_FILE_TO_RESPONSE
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/47/a8d95673b12fe2e10000000a42189d/frameset.htm
    If you want more control over the response object for a download then I might suggest that you can create a cached response object, place it into the ICM cache and generate a unique URL for it.  You can then fire a navigation plug or a LinkToURL to go to that cached response object.

  • HTTP response time - From any SAP table.

    Question: can we access complete URL from any table level with http response time, any input is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Venkat.

    Michael,
    First of all, thanks for the reply.
    In our environment we have cprojects implemented and have lot of webdynpro request to ECC system.
    From http log (SMICM) I can see many webdynpro requests with response time above 30 minutes; I want to automate this monitoring by writing a CCMS data supplier. We already have SAP document to write data supplier.
    Scenario: For example if they are doing a task in cprojects.
    We will be having a GET webdynpro request and then POST. By looking at GET we can know the task user is trying to do. But it is POST request which will be taking most of the response time and POST URL is show u2026(point) after context ID and as per SAP help this is done for security reason.
    HTTP log from SMICMu2026
    [DATE] - "GET /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/cprojects?sap-client=clnt&STARTVIEW=Tasks&OBJECT_TYPE=TTO&GUID=GUIDNUMBER
    [DATE] - "GET /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/cprojects/~ucfLOADING?sap-contextid=....................
    [DATE] - "POST /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/cprojects/?sap-contextid=........................[response time]
    I think SAP is displaying as point in http log file, but it should definitely have complete URL is any of the table.
    So I am looking If we can find the complete POST URL with response time from table then we can write an ABAP program to send the information to CCMS.
    Thanks,
    Venkat.

  • Long HTTP Request/Response round trip time on new Azure Websites under BizSpark Plus

    Hi,
    I have a very difficult situation. I am busy migrating from a traditional VM architecture to Azure Websites. This is after a few months of testing and being happy that Azure Websites can provide the performance necessary for our application. The TEST site
    I set up is running great and meets all the performance requirements. The TEST site is set up under my normal BizSpark subscription.
    We have since been awarded a BizSpark Plus subscription and I have started the migration process on this subscription, as opposed to the normal BizSpark basic subscription.
    However, since starting our migration process, I am experiencing huge latency on the HTTP request roundtrip from browser to server and back for my newly created LIVE Azure Website instance. I have investigated and observed the statistics between the TEST
    and LIVE instances. Here is a test run against the 2 environments on a particular screen of our application. Here are the times for the full roundtrip for each AJAX HTTP request of the specific actions:
    TEST (Azure Website on BizSpark subscription):
    GetAudioSource - 267ms
    LogStartEvent - 196ms
    LogProgress - 243ms
    Retrieval of Audio file - 2.06s
    LIVE (Azure Website on BizSpark Plus subscription):
    GetAudioSource - 938ms
    LogStartEvent - 3.61s
    LogProgress - 5.11s
    Retrieval of Audio file - 5.97s
    There is clearly something wrong with the routing of the LIVE instance starting at the load balancer.
    This is not the only place affected. In fact, all the HTTP requests are very lagged and delayed in the LIVE instance as opposed to hardly noticeable in the TEST instance.
    I am wondering if there is a lower priority being afforded to my BizSpark Plus subscription running my LIVE instance, of if I am just unlucky with the underlying infrastructure that has been selected on my behalf. Or, is it possible that something can be
    done to enhance and optimise the routing etc?
    I also need to say that I have matched the Azure Website configuration and scale settings to be exactly the same between the 2 instances and have also set Always On to ON.
    Any help or thoughts will be greatly appreciated, because I am starting to seriously doubt the service levels of the Azure Websites platform.
    Thank you
    Ozzy

    Hello Ozzy Vox,
    1. Which region(data center) do you have your websites deployed in?
    Ideally there would be no change in terms of type of subsciptions when you deploy your website in production.
    I suggest that you set up diagnostics on to your Azure websites to get the logs to understand where it is spending most of its time and the reason behind the latency.
    You can refer to this link that will give you information on 'How to Monitor Websites':
    http://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/documentation/articles/web-sites-monitor/
    Also refer to this link regarding 'Enable diagnostic logging for Azure Websites':

  • How to upload the data from excel(3 tabs) file to sap environment

    Hi all,
    This is Mahesh.
    how to upload the data from excel(3 tabs) file to sap environment (internal tables) while doing bdc.

    Hi,
    The FM 'ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE' makes it possible to load a worksheet into an internal table in ABAP.
    However, if you want to get the data from several worksheets, I think you are stuck with OLE access to your Excel Workbook...
    You can find a solution for 2 worksheets in this post :
    TO UPLOAD DATA FROM 2 EXCEL SHEETS INTO TWO INTERNAL TABLES
    I think you can easily modify it to handle any number of worksheets.
    Hope it helps !
    Best regards,

  • Get a specific Http header field from an http request in a component

    Hello,
    In a custom component that I've created ( which extends ServiceHandler), I'd like to access a specific http header field from the http requests that this component receives.
    I assume this could be accessible through m_binder or m_service, but I didn't find any solution so far.
    Any Idea?
    Thanks in advance,
    Leo

    As it may help others, I answer what I figured out.
    Every details of the http request is put into the m_binder.
    So a specific field can be accessed with m_binder.getEnvironmentValue("My_data")
    You can also list all the available data as it is a standard properties set.

  • SAP GRC 10 - PSS Access from SAP ECC System

    I have configured Password Self Service in GRC System and is working perfectly fine for all password resets if access provided to NWBC from  GRC System.
    We have requirement to provide end users to reset password using SAP ECC System only. I have tried to access NWBC using SAP ECC System but is giving me error that Menu not configured or roles not assigned.
    Currently Maintain Data Sources is configured as below
    User Search Data Sources , User Detail Data Sources  & User Authentication Data Sources set to ECC Connector and End User Vertification Set to yes.We are not using LDAP / Active Directory for the User Search Database and instead ECC Only
    Can anyone provide the roles to be assigned in SAP ECC System to access NWBC - Password Reset .

    Hi Anil,
    In support to Colleen's comments, It seems that you have not configured the USER on the End User Services.  You need to make sure that the guest user (not available in GRC) is configured in each of the 10 services in SICF for the end user Login Pages to work.
    Here are the 10 required services to be activated:
    1.)GRAC_OIF_MY_PROFILE_EU
    2.)GRAC_GAF_NAME_CHANGE_SERV_EU
    3.)GRAC_POWL_REQUEST_STATUS_EU
    4.)GRAC_GAF_PWD_SELFSERVICE_EU
    5.)GRAC_OIF_USER_REGISTER_EU
    6.)GRAC_GAF_ACCREQ_WITH_REQREF_EU
    7.)GRAC_OIF_REQUEST_SUBMISSION_EU
    8.)GRAC_GAF_ACCREQ_WITH_TEMPL_EU
    9.)GRAC_GAF_ACCREQ_WITH_USEREF_EU
    10.)GRAC_UIBB_END_USER_LOGIN
    You can refer note#http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1628387
    If the user is not present in GRC system then, they have to go with end-user-logon page to reset their passwords where you can always define the user authentication configurations.

  • Create a table and upload data in MS ACCESS from SAP ABAP programming?

    Hi All,
    How to create a table in MS ACCESS database and Upload SAP database table data into MS ACCESS table using ABAP programming?
    Explain: My client requirement is " If he/she runs a ABAP Program, that will create a table and upload data into MS ACCESS Database table in background. "
    Could you please give the solution or code? I know the program RIACCESS and I went through the SAP Note 583698.
    Is this only solution for this?  Or Any other possibilities?
    Please give me solution.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    It is not possible to create tables in a non SAP schema from inside SAP.
    The SAP-Oracle license also does not allow you to create the table (see note 581312):
    the following actions, among other things, are therefore forbidden at database level:
    Creating database users
    Creating database segments
    Querying/changing/creating data in the database
    Using ODBC or other SAP external access methods
    Please refer following link,
    [Ckick Here|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes_boj/sdn_oss_boj_erq/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/scn_bosap/notes.do]
    You can also do it by LSMW,
    If you are using Access 97, you can download directly into an access
    database from SAP. See program RIACCESS for details. You have to establish
    an RFC destination PS_ACCESS_1 and 2.
    There are then a couple of function modules. Go to SE37 and put in
    msaccess and hit PF4.
    The following is from the readme file: sapgui/ps/readme.sap
    For the MS-Access interface SAP delivers 4 files:
    WDPSASTR.EXE This is an RFC server program that is called by SAP R/3
    (PS module). This program creates a MS Access database. The structure
    information of the tables is transferred from R/3. In addition to
    these tables a table named DDIC is created. This table contains the
    structure information and should in no case be modified or deleted.
    WDPSATAB.EXE This is an RFC server program that is called by SAP R/3
    after WDPSASTR. This program filles the tables of the database with data.
    There must not be made any changes of the structure of
    the tables between the calls of WDPSASTR and WDPSATAB.
    WDPSAZET.EXE This is an RFC client program that triggers work/time
    confirmations in the PS module of SAP R/3 (like transaction CN27 Collectiv
    confirm).
    WDPSAMAT.EXE This is an RFC client program that triggers material
    confirmations in the PS module of SAP R/3 (like transaction MB1A - Goods
    Please also refer following links,
    [Click here|Upload data from MS Access tables, to SAP tables.;
    Before using the program "RIACCESS", you need to install the PS utilities, which are part of SAPGUI install CD.
    It is available in the "SAPGUIPS directory".
    Then do the followings :
    1. Select transaction code SALE -> Systems in network-> Define RFC Destination.
    2. You will need two RFC destinations (TCP/IP connections for the front-end workstation).
    Setup the two RFC destinations PS_ACCESS_1 and PS_ACCESS_2 and you'll have to get them to point to
    wdpsastr.exe and wdpsatab.exe respectively.
    3. Then execute RIACCESS and choose PS_ACCESS_1 to generate access tables.
    The system must also be able to access the RFC-DLL files (librfc2.dll, librfc3.dll, librfc4.dll, librfc5.dll, librfc6.dll, vrfc.dll).
    Please note that Access only supports tables with up to 255 fields.

    Regards,
    Laurent.

    ok, I think we do not need the save/loadPipeline things, because you can debug the flow without that. I first thought you act as HTTP server, but you issue the client call in the flow itself.
    Looking at the logs more carefully, it shows for example:
    Copy failed: (Simple) No source data available: to=/returnedStatusCode(0), from=/returnHttp(0)/cXML(0)/Response(0)/Status(0)/@code(0)
    But you say have that input:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE cXML SYSTEM "http://xml.cXML.org/schemas/cXML/1.2.011/cXML.dtd">
    <cXML version="1.2.011" payloadID="20080825171850716.18637uTQ9ExzheaK+H6b7O9oCAQWPzHA-9355222.8b3632def70da7220004d0b6" timestamp="2008-08-25T17:18:50-CEST">
    <Response>
    <Status code="500">No cXML document received from sender.</Status>
    </Response>
    </cXML>
    So we see that your mappings assumptions do not match the result structure.
    The other problem is that you get a status 500 and do not receive a cXML document, but that might be ok, depending on what parameters you pass to the other HTTP server. At least, you get a meaningful error message back from the server, meaning communication is ok.
    I suggest you first correct those "copy failed" issues and then check by single-stepping where exactly the flow fails and check that input again.
    By the way, when I feed the above cXML into recordToDocument, it works fine. Did you specify other input parameters besides "node" (e.g. recordName) ? And again, are you on Core Fix 8 ?

  • Accessing a .exe file with HTTP Request

    Hi!
    Can I access an executable file located in a WEB page with JMeter?
    I'm tryng to use a HTTP Request:
    Server Name or IP: 111.111.111.1
    Port Number: 8080
    Path: /cliente/file.exe
    The file is in a Tomcat application.
    When I run, in the View Results Tree - Sampler Result, it shows:
    Load time: 63
    HTTP response code: 400
    HTTP response message: Bad Request
    HTTP response headers:
    HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request
    Date: Wed, 27 Apr 2005 14:26:09 GMT
    Server: Apache-Coyote/1.1
    Connection: close
    I already had copied the link and placed it into the browser to verify
    if it was correct and i had access to the file normaly.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks in advance.
    Marcelo.

    If the .exe file is publically-accessible from your web server (like other normal .html files are for example), then accessing that resource would be done the same way as accessing others (get a stream of bytes that the server would serve up, and do something with those bytes on the client end of the connection). I don't know what JMeter has to do with that.

  • Malformed HTTP request in access.log

    Hi,
    we're running a quite standard web application on a weblogic server 9.1, clients are using Internet Explorer 6, and lately, I checked the access.log, and sometimes, logged HTTP requests look malformed, for example:
    access.log00575:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx - - [25/Aug/2006:13:47:01 +0200] "ntent-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded HTTP/0.9" 501 990
    access.log00568:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx - - [25/Aug/2006:10:32:30 +0200] "&GET /img/console/entete.gif HTTP/1.1" 501 990
    access.log00639:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx - - [27/Nov/2006:12:38:00 +0100] "&POST /ajax/heartbeat HTTP/1.1" 501 80
    access.log00460:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx - - [21/Aug/2006:16:51:01 +0200] "OST /ajax/daily_commission HTTP/1.1" 501 78
    I once was successful in reproducing the problem, and during this test, I was sniffing the network, and apparently, the sent HTTP requests looked fine, whereas it appeared as a corrupted request in access.log.
    Have anyone seen something like this before ?
    Thanks.

    I wish that were true. I've disconnected Server Admin from the server and then quit the application. The log entries are still comin'.

  • When trying to EMAIL from BEX Broadcaster get a 400 bad HTTP request

    When we try to run an email from BEX broadcaster, we get the message below.   We looked in the ICM and it says the request is too large, but when when I copy the request and paste it into the browser it works,  any ideals?
    400 Bad HTTP request
    Bad HTTP request
    Error:     -21
    Version:     7000
    Component:     HTTP_FILTER
    Date/Time:     Mon Apr 05 17:54:18 2010
    Module:     http_auth.c
    Line:     494
    Server:     biprd_BIP_11
    Error Tag:
    Detail:     illegal request

    Hi David,
    Not exactly sure what the issue is here, but would like to give you some pointers that might help anyway. The error message you see in the ICM would be where I would start. You need to remember that the HTTP request is more than just the URL that you paste into the browser, the URL is one part of it, but there are a heap of other things that go into making the full HTTP request (e.g. POST data, header values etc...)
    I would also refer you to this forum post: Re: 400 Bad HTTP request that references SAP Note 864878
    Hope this helps,
    Simon

  • Logout from AM session through Proramatically ( using an http request)

    Hi Everyone,
    I want to logout from the AccessManager via Programatically through an http request? Is there any such url by invoking an HTTP post request we can logout from the Access Manager session?
    Thanks,
    Ranjith.

    Hi,
    You can do a post to /amserver/UI/Logout ar you ca programatically destroy the session using something like:
    SSOTokenManager manager = SSOTokenManager.getInstance();
    SSOToken token = manager.createSSOToken(cookieValue.trim());
    manager.destroyToken(token);
