HTTP Sender with EOIO leads to HTTP Response 500
Hello everybody,
since we are using SP12 we have problems with the HTTP sender when using EOIO. If I use the two parameters ....qos=EOIO&queueid=myQueue... I got a HTTP Reponse Code 500: Internal Server Error in the sender system (for the test I use a Java Program). When I use the qos EO (without a queue ID) it works.
Does anybody now this problem?
Regards,
Thomas
Have u seen this

Adobe Document Services - http Response 500 - How to configure the logging?
We are building an application in Web Dynpro Java that fetches data from an R/3 system via an RFC connection and is then supposed to show said data in a pdf within an iview. For that task we want to use the InteractiveForm UIElement. We bind the data to its pdfSource in the iViewu2019s context. Currently the form only consists of a text field bound to one attribute element of the pdfSource context node.
The ADS webservice is configured according to the manuals found here:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/fa/0b700d6cfd4e03a8ec2186ba6ff4af/frameset.htm
and tested successfully under the following link
http://<portal_host>:<port>/AdobeDocumentServices/Config?style=document
However, when we execute the application, an error occurs in the webservice generating the pdf, namely Invalid Content-Type:text/html. The error occurs when the iView containing the form is shown for the first time, even before the attributes of the pdfSource context are filled with data (we expect to see an empty form).
As it seems the webservice is expected to return a MIME type of either application/pdf or text/xml (we donu2019t know for sure since the SAP manuals and forums are inconclusive here), but instead we get text/html. This seems to be due to the fact that the webservice exits with an http response 500 Internal Server Error (we used several network monitoring tools to confirm that such a response is sent). Since such http responses are but html files with an empty body, yet not xml or pdf, the aforementioned error does make sense to us, but we do not know what Internal Error has caused it.
The only help that SAP seems to provide for an error u201CInvalid Content-Type:text/htmlu201D in context with ADS points to an expiring password or otherwise poor configuration of the ADSUser, which (most certainly) is not our case here since, and as said above, the configuration was and can be tested successfully.
We then tried to view the logs for this error on the machine where the J2EE engine is running with ADS installed according to this (not very comprehensible) guide:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/de/97/ccfc3f0ac2c642e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
We cannot find anything relevant in the server.log of the Visual Administrator except this message (it is generated exactly when our error occurs u2013 the trace severity is set to ALL for all Adobe application elements according to manual):
Date , Time , Message , Severity , Category , Location , Application , User
12/08/2010 , 13:50:46:511 , application [webdynpro/dispatcher] Processing HTTP request to servlet [dispatcher] finished with error.
The error is: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.adobe.pdfdocument.base.core.PDFDocumentRuntimeException: Failed to GENERATEPDF
Exception id: [0800274DA7ED00850000005B00000900000496E5919E28BA] , Error , /System/Server/WebRequests , com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.HttpHandlerImpl , sap.com/tcwddispwda , Guest
There is no error.pdf to be found on the file system and since neither have we known nor are we told by the error message, whether the underlying cause is is a render error or connection error or configuration error or what not, we donu2019t know whether the error.pdf is supposed to be generated at all.
Or could there be any other reason why generation didnu2019t take place?
Furthermore we canu2019t seem to be able to find any logs more verbose or detailed about this issue - at least not within the Visual Administrator or the portalu2019s nwa.
How is it possible to properly debug the webservice for pdf-generation or at least to retrieve a fully detailed log containing all notifications and exception stack traces etc.?
I am assuming that we are making some basic mistakes regarding the logging configuration - but what?
Our goal is to know what causes the 500 Internal Server Error response that causes the Incorrect Content-Type exception.
We are using a NetWeaver 7.01 portal installation with Adobe Document Services 7.01 installed on a Windows Server 2003 platform.
Any help is highly appreciated!
SergHave you tried restarting the Java PDF object in Visual Administrator? Once you do all of your config, you have to restart the PDF object (sao.com/tcwdpdfobject) for the changes to take place. I am assuming you've run all of the test programs in SAP (FP_TEST_00, FP_TEST_03, etc.). Is there any chance that the ADSUSER is locked somehow?

HTTP Response :500 unable to connect to remote system.
Hi,
I am doing proxy-xi-file scenario, where i am getting this error in sxmb_moni in R/3.
The error reads with red flag:
HTTP Response :500 unable to connect to remote system.
Please tell me what can be the reason.Snehal,
Error: The error message 503 Service unavailable Application stopped! is displayed.
Description: The server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. The implication is that this is a temporary condition which will be alleviated after some delay. If known, the length of the delay MAY be indicated in a Retry-After header. If no Retry-After is given, the client SHOULD handle the response as it would for a 500 response.
Note: The existence of the 503 status code does not imply that a server must use it when becoming overloaded. Some servers may wish to simply refuse the connection.
Possible Tips: Because of J2EE application com.sap.aii.af.ms.app not active
Try to (re)start the application using the Visual Administrator Choose Server --> Services --> Deploy --> View on Application or restart the J2EE engine
The problem is that not all J2EE services can be started by the J2EE. i.e Start the Visual Administrator and select Server->Services->Deploy in the tree on the left. On the right-hand side, choose the Runtime tab page. You see a tree in the right window with all applications if you select the APPLICATION radio button. Check if they are running, otherwise choose Start. Usually the J2EE engine starts all services automatically.

Forms Builder - HTTP Response: 500 - Internal Server Error
Hello,
When starting the Forms Builder in our dev environment, the new java window pops up and I get a an error pop up that says:HTTP Response: 500 - Internal Server Error.
I click OK on this and it comes back several times. After a while the forms builder displays, but there is no connection to the server. I do not have this problem in our stage system.
Does anyone know how to rememdy this?
Thanks,
Chris. When I run the check tool in the dev environment, it performs several of the tests and then states "all tests performed successfully". None of the lights turn green. It says it successfully downloads the jar files, but says that the XML forms server version is 'null'. The load global settings and project list tests were not even started.
When I do the same for our stage environment, all the tests ARE performed and all the lights turn green.
Thanks,
Chris. -

E Filing GB out going process error HTTP error 500 internal server error
Hi Gurus,
I am getting the following error in the MONI of PI system.
Its a synchonous scenario from SAP ECC6 PROXY to SAP PI 7 to HTTP Type G.
Request Trace error : Internal Server Error
RESPONCE Error Message : HTTP server code 500 reason Internal Server Error explanation
Also I am getting the the same error while testing connection test in SM59 RFC destination type G.
Status HTTP Response 500
Status Text Internal Server Error
Duration Test Call 8 ms
Regards
SreeniHi Kancham,
Please check the RFC destination type G created in SM59 is correct or not .
Logon procedure
if you are using
No logon. The server program does not require you to enter a user and password.
Basic Authentication. The server program requires you to enter a user and password.
Check user name ,password is correct in RFC destination if the external HTTP server requires user credentials.
Without successfully running this RFC , you are not able communicate with the external HTTP server (Target system).
Also check that your HTTP server is running fine bcoz if it's down that also could be the reason for your problem.
regards
Ashwin

HTTP response code 500 : Error during Sender Agreement Determination
I am trying a simple file to file scenario and messages are not being received in Integration Server.
Through communication channel monitoring, i have received the below error message.
Error Transmitting the message to

connection File_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due
to:

Can you please help
Regards
HarishHi Harish,
http://<hostname>:50000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
it should be http://<hostname>:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry not 50000 as port It should be your HTTP port...please .make the changes !!
In SXMB_ADM transaction under Integration engine configuration please change the settings to http://<hostname>:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
make sure with your basis team that ur http port is 8000 or 8001 ..as per that make the necessary changes..

This work fine but there is a problem with the acknowledgment :
Transmitting the message to endpoint http://<server>:8000/sap/xi/engine/entry?action=execute using connection AFW failed, due to: Received HTTP response code 500..
I use this Weblog : /people/saravanakumar.kuppusamy2/blog/2005/01/20/configuration-tips-for-a-business-serviceintegration-process-to-send-back-ale-audit-idoc
and all I can find in this forum.
What can I do ?
Thanks

Message was edited by: Christophe DUMONTHTTP 500 is an error caused at the Web Server side. Any http connection happens in 4 steps:
1) Obtain the IP address from the URL - provied by DNS
2) Open Ip Socket for that IP
3) Use this socket to write data
4) Receive data stream back from the server.
This data stream which is passed by the server has status codes. If there is a status code 500, this is trapped only at the last level and client is not able to resolve the status.
You would want to look at the 4 points of faliure mentioned above. And it would help if u get someone on the Web Server side to look at the server logs. These logs are more descriptive and will provide a clue to set things right.
let us know if u are able to resolve the issue. -
IDOC - XI - HTTP/MAIL (How to get the http response and send an email?)
Hi David!
If you are able to send any Http message in reference to message from XI (eg. with Idoc number or msg-id) there is no problem to process it in your scenario (even if comunication is asynchronous).
Regards,
RadekYou need a 2:1 mapping. source interfaces are Idoc and Http response, target interface is the mail.
As you can do his only for abstract interfaces, you have to create an abstract message interface based on the IDoc structure.
For the http call you need abstract async message interfaces representing request and response which you can use for the mapping and for the container variables inside the BPM.

Please advice. Initially we thought the J2EE services were unavailable . But now even when the services are running we still have the same issue when there is a http call from an external application to XI . The message get posted but there is an error on the response back to the external application.
Even the contract which was supposed to be created in ERP from the external application did not get created.
Please advice.
Thanks,
NiveditaHi Nivedita,
503 means Service Unavailable
just check whether you cn ping the HTTP server host and port is open.
if not then consult the vedor and make both open first.
Also if you want to restart the java engine
then run T-code SMICM
Then go to administration then JAVA restart soft.
it will help you.

hello friend,
I have developed a proxy to JDBC synchronous scenario.
My scenario works like this.
i run an abap program which calls a client proxy,
the proxy fetches the data from database table and returns the data in the ABAP program.
My program is working fine but there is a small problem.
when i run the report for the first time, it gives me an exception while calling proxy
HTTP_RESP_STATUS_CODE_NOT_OK HTTP response contains status code 500 with the description Timeout
and when i run the report for the second time with same variant it works fine.
i can see the exception mostly in the morning when i run the report for the first time
please help me to find the solution of this problem.
thanks
kannu.1. Increase the proctimeout in smicm as per note - 824554
2. Application threads in the J2EE engine might have got consumed in high load situations.
Increase the count of application threads in config tool at location Config Tool -> cluster-data ->
<configuration template> -> <instance-ID> -> managers -> ApplicationThreadManager ->
MaxThreadCount
3. Increase the parameter ServletInputStreamTimeout from 180000 to 1728000000.
Steps for setting this parameter:
a. If you have configured ICM to forward requests to the J2EE dispatcher then apply Note
1048692. If the problem is not resolved, then apply section b.
b. The request bytes are reaching the Engine too slowly
i. Start the configtool in <J2EE>/configtool directory
ii. Browse the tree in the left pane
cluster-data -> Global server configuration -> services -> http
iii. Press the ServletInputStreamTimeout key in the keylist on the right
iv. Change the value of the "Value" field at the bottom of the right pane to the
preferred one (in milliseconds).
-1 means there is no timeout - that is unless the full request comes into a single
chunk, an error will be thrown
180000 means the Engine would wait for 3 minutes for any byte to be entered in
the stream.
1728000000 means the Engine would wait for 20 days for any byte to be entered
in the stream
v. Press the "Set" button in the top-right corner
vi. Select from the menu File -> Apply and confirm all popups.
vii. Restart the Engine for changes to take effect -
