Solaris 8
Messages Server 5.2
I've replaced the ssl certificate on the mail server. Imap with ssl works just fine. Can't log into web mail though. The httpd logs show this error...
[01/Aug/2005:11:16:49 -0700] inet-13 httpd[17074]: Account Notice: badlogin: [10.1.75.91] plaintext serviceadmin : Encryption or a stronger authentication mechanism required
Tried turning off ssl the web mail still throws the same error. Any ideas?

"httpd.conf" Error - any one know how to fix?
Hi -
I'm trying to set up the development area. When I go to preferences to get to my computers website the following error shows up:
"Safari can’t open the page “http://10.0.1.4/” because Safari can’t connect to the server “10.0.1.4”.
So I opened monitor and did a config test and got an error message which I don't know how to fix:
agent-99:~ mac$ apachectl configtest
Syntax error on line 274 of /private/etc/apache2/httpd.conf:
LogFormat takes 1-2 arguments, a log format string (see docs) and an optional format name
Does anyone know how to fix this? I've been worKing on it all day and no luck! any advice would be appreciated!274 is blank. directly below it is:

Httpd spewing errors into system.log...
Hi,
I just noticed that httpd is having problems in Mountain Lion...

Jul 26 15:09:50 eagle com.apple.launchd[1] (org.apache.httpd): Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
The system.log file is growing ;(
I am having the same problem on another machine but in addition it is continuously removing a certificate.
Nothing is appearing in the Apache logs....
Any suggestions?
JerryHey. Thanks for the advice thus far but I have the same problem on 10.9 with no resolution... the above solutions don't apply. (No funny apple stuff in apache conf, no permissions problems, logfiles exist, writable, working... and most odd of all... apache is in fact running and working.)
I just don't like the errors in the console... it disturbs me. Any other ideas? TIA.

I'm trying to set up DNS on my server through hand-editing of named.conf and creating the Zone files in /var/named, but in trying to test from Terminal with <sudo httpd -S> I get thrown the error:
httpd: Syntax error on line 94 of /private/etc/apache2/httpd.conf: Cannot load /usr/libexec/httpd/mod_mime.so into server: dlopen(/usr/libexec/httpd/mod_mime.so, 10): no suitable image found. Did find:\n\t/usr/libexec/httpd/mod_mime.so: no matching architecture in universal wrapper

LoadModule mime_module libexec/httpd/mod_mime.soThanks Roger,
Changing the path to </usr/libexec/apache> helped somewhat with the <.so> includes, with the exception of the following eight.
The following weren't in the folder:
mod_imap.so, libproxy.so, libssl.so, mod_access.so, modmacbinaryapple.so
The following had missing symbols(Can't locate API module structure):
mod_include.so , modlogconfig.so, mod_actions.so
Commenting all those out led to the following error:

# This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
# configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
# See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/> for detailed information.
# In particular, see
# <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/directives.html>
# for a discussion of each configuration directive.
# Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
# what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
# consult the online docs. You have been warned.
# Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
# of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
# server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do *not* begin
# with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/access_log"
# with ServerRoot set to "/usr/local/apache2" will be interpreted by the
# server as "/usr/local/apache2/logs/access_log", whereas "/logs/access_log"
# will be interpreted as '/logs/access_log'.
# ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
# configuration, error, and log files are kept.
# Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point
# ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to specify a local disk on the
# Mutex directive, if file-based mutexes are used. If you wish to share the
# same ServerRoot for multiple httpd daemons, you will need to change at
# least PidFile.
ServerRoot "/srv/http"
# Mutex: Allows you to set the mutex mechanism and mutex file directory
# for individual mutexes, or change the global defaults
# Uncomment and change the directory if mutexes are file-based and the default
# mutex file directory is not on a local disk or is not appropriate for some
# other reason.
# Mutex default:/run/httpd
# Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
# ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
# directive.
# Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to
# prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP addresses.

Last edited by Creaprog (2014-08-25 10:25:17)I just noticed the exact same thing. It turns out that the httpd-ssl.conf file on my system is still the old v2.2 syntax, which means that the SSLMutex directive is still in there. This is an invalid directive after 2.2.
This is where things get interesting. At first, I simply thought I had forgotten to merge httpd-ssl.conf.pacnew after apache had been upgraded to 2.4. However, when I check my pacman.log, it appears that httpd-ssl.conf was never upgraded when apache went to 2.4 - (2.2.26-1 -> 2.4.7-1). There was never a pacnew file generated to be merged.
I took a look at the apache package via the abs and the "proper" httpd-ssl.conf is certainly in there, so why pacman never created a pacnew file is a mystery.
Anyway, to fix this: pull the httpd-ssl.conf from the apache package, either from your cache, using the abs and building it, or (I think) pacman may re-install it if you move the file to a backup location (not sure about this). Then merge your original httpd-ssl-conf with the new one. -
403 Forbidden Error on directory but not on index page.
I can't seem to find the source of the 403 Forbidden error. Index page works as expected but accessing the owncoud directory throws this error. Configs below.

ServerRoot "/etc/httpd"
# Mutex: Allows you to set the mutex mechanism and mutex file directory
# for individual mutexes, or change the global defaults
# Uncomment and change the directory if mutexes are file-based and the default

Also keep in mind that I've installed owncloud using the source downloaded from the website. I previously installed using the pacman, but wanted to configure it to be under a sub directory and not as my web root.

Strange error message when starting OHS2 after Policy Manager install
We just installed the OAM 10.1.4.3 Policy Manager on OHS2 and when we restarted this error was posted to the logs
/u01/app/itisora/product/OHS10.1.3/ohs/bin/apachectl startssl: execing httpd
Syntax error on line 1322 of /u01/app/itisora/product/OHS10.1.3/ohs/conf/httpd.conf:
API module structure `OBAccessManager' in file /u01/app/itisora/product/oam10.1.4/webcomponent/access/oblix/lib/webpluginsssl.so is garbled - perhaps this is not an Apache module
DSO?
We already installed and configured the WebPass on this http server. Has anyone seen this error? There was no transfer of files, the installer used the OHS11g policy manger install instead if the OHS2 10g install files

Need help regarding Apache httpd.conf and PHP setup.
Hi,
I am facing problem setting up my PHP and apache setup. I have installed Apache2.2 Root path = C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2
I have also installed PHP in my C:\PHP drive earlier. I moved this PHP folder to C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2 just to keep all things at one place.
I have copied php5ts.dll at 4 locations - C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2 \bin , %SYSTEMROOT%\System32, %SYSTEMROOT%\system and %SYSTEMROOT%. I have also added these paths in Environment variable 'PATH'.
In httpd.conf file entries are as follows:
ServerRoot "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2"
I have added these 3 lines as
LoadModule php5_module php/php5apache2.dll
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps
When restarting apache http server I get message as:
httpd.exe error ...... cannot load C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\php\php5ts.dll into the server. The specified module could not be found.
I have checked that php5ts.dll DLL exist at above path. Please help me out urgently.Sorry I don't have Windows available to check the paths. With recent versions
of PHP I never copied files out of the php source directory.
Make sure the Oracle 10g Instant Client is in your PATH environment variable.
You could try using the PHP Windows MSI installer.

Hi Experts,
I am trying to install Mobiliser platform 5.1 SP03 on redhat Linux system of AWS cloud.
I have installed httpd 2.2 server on mob-web-1 server and it is running fine.
But when I include Include /opt/sybase/httpd/conf/mobiliser_httpd_ssl.conf directory in
the Apache HTTPD server configuration which is the destination configuration located in:
/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf (on mob-web-1) , I am getting following error:
Starting httpd: Syntax error on line 8 of /opt/sybase/httpd/conf/mobiliser_httpd_ssl.conf:
Invalid command 'SSLCertificateKeyFile', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included
in the server configuration
[FAILED]
So please help me to fix this error.
Thanks and Regards,
Sagar M Patil.Hi Marcus,
I have followed the steps that you have mentioned. Now httpd server is running.
But when I execute /opt/sybase/money/bin/startup.sh script in mob-aps-1 , I am getting the errors in /opt/sybase/money/logs/mobiliser.log file. Is it because of not including
Include /opt/sybase/httpd/conf/mobiliser_httpd_ssl.conf directive in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file ?
Please look into moboliser.log file contents.:

Error in configuring apache plug in with weblogic 8.1.5
I tried to configure Apache 2.2 plugin with weblogic 8.1 SP 5 in Linux ES 4.0 . I am getting the following error while loading weblogic_module in httpd.conf file in Apache server (restarting apache server after putting entries in httpd.conf).. The error is httpd: Syntax error on line 414 of /usr/local/apache2/conf/httpd.conf: API module structure `weblogic_module' in file /usr/local/apache2/modules/mod_wl_20.so is garbled - perhaps this is not an Apache module DSO?
Did anyone got this error before? The solution is for BEA to provide the plug-in. Probably a few minutes of a work for BEA developer. Weblogic 9.0 has it.

Problems with libclntsh.so.10.1 and PHP/Apache HTTPD
Hello,
I've been wrestling with the install of Instant Client/OCI8 with PHP 5.0.4 and Apache HTTPD 2.0.52 on RHEL4 ES. Most recently I've followed the instructions detailed here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/notes/technote_php_instant.html
Apache is installed from the RHN rpm.
PHP was successfully compiled with the following parameters:
./configure with-mysql with-ssl with-ldap with-apxs2 with-dom with-oci8-instant-client=/usr/local/oracle/instantclient_10_2 --enable-sigchild
I've also attempted to get OCI8 working using the full Administration Client from CD. In either case, I can compile/install PHP just fine. I've indexed the Instant Client directory with ldconfig, and the user that runs HTTPD has read/execute permissions on libclntsh.so.10.1 and on all the directories above it. Nonetheless, when I start Apache, I invariably run into the following error:
# /etc/init.d/httpd start
Starting httpd: Syntax error on line 190 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /usr/lib/httpd/modules/libphp5.so into server: libclntsh.so.10.1: failed to map segment from shared object: Permission denied [FAILED]
Thanks in advance for any insight,
Patrick

Server API => Command Line Interface
Virtual Directory Support => disabled
Configuration File (php.ini) Path => /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
Everything is visible to all users the LD Library path is set even in the httpd.conf file.
Clear PHP works from within the command line, now I want to get it working via Apache2.
If anybody has a clue I would be most obliged.
Also disabling SELinux did not do the trick. -

Can anybody offer any suggestions on why this error occurs or
how to troubleshoot it?
I cant seem to find anything in google/bea website on this.

ThanksHi Reagan,
Execute the first parameter,

# This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
# configuration directives that give the server its instructions.

# In particular, see
# <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/directives.html>

# Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
# of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the

# least PidFile.
ServerRoot "/sapcontreps/apache"
# Mutex: Allows you to set the mutex mechanism and mutex file directory

# Uncomment and change the directory if mutexes are file-based and the default
# mutex file directory is not on a local disk or is not appropriate for some
# other reason.
# Mutex default:logs
# Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
# ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
