Border around Image Links
In many of the templates, there is a style defined for image links. These are the clickable images which bring you to another webpage or URL when clicked. If you are interested in creating image links or want to understand what the codes are, you may view our Hyperlinks article.
You can customize the border settings of image links at:-
a img {
border:0;
}I found this !
Thanks Balu !!

  • How to get parameter and add it to hyperlink using struts tag?

    Hi everyone:
    There is a.jsp pass a parameter to b.jsp.How to get the parameter in b.jsp using struts Tag?I also want to add the parameter to a hyperlink in b.jsp.For example in b.jsp <html:link forward=.....>cxxxx</html:link>.How to add the parameter(get from a.jsp) to cXXXX in b.jsp?

    Try this:
    Copy A Request Parameter - You can create a new bean containing the value of a parameter included in this request. If no parameter of the specified name was included, a request time exception will be thrown - therefore, it is common to nest the use of this tag inside a <logic:present parameter="xxx"> tag to ensure that the parameter was really included. If there is the possibility that more than one parameter of the same name was included, specify the "multiple" attribute (and the resulting value bean will be an array of String values, instead of a single String).
    <bean:parameter id="name" name="name"/>
    And then just use <html:link> with paramId. No java code at all.

  • Struts tiles to create event based loading of tiles on a JSP

    Hi All,
    I am working on a web app where I am using struts tiles to create my JSPs. I have tiles for header, footer & nav bar.
    Now I want to break up my JSP body in multiple tiles. It is required that I insert only one body tile initially, say body1, which contains few hyperlinks. Depending on which link is clicked, I would attach another tile (body2) below the first one. Can any advanced tiles user inform me if it's possible with struts-tiles, & if yes how?
    Thanks.

    Tiles is basically used to overload the jsp pages and reuse them.
    In your tiles-defs.xml file:
    //Tiles for header, footer and nav bar goes here
    //Tiles for body1 and body2  goes here
    <definition name="BodyTile" page="/yourPage.jsp">
              <put name="body1" value="/blank.jsp" />
              <put name="body2" value="/blank.jsp" />
    </definition>
    <!--Blank jsp is a simple html page without any data into it-->
    Now create a customized tile for your module. Mapping has to be done in struts-config.xml.
    Notice that the definitions here extend the tile from tiles-defs.xml, i.e. "BodyTile"
    <definition name="ActionOneWithBodyOne" extends="BodyTile">
        <put name="body1" value="/yourPage1.jsp" />
    </definition>
    <definition name="ActionTwoWithBodyTwo" extends="BodyTile">
        <put name="body1" value="/yourPage1.jsp" />
        <put name="body2" value="/yourPage2.jsp" />
    </definition>Now when you first load the page forward it to "ActionOneWithBodyOne" and it displays you just your body1.
    When ever u click a link on body 1, after performing the action populate the form bean corresponding to yourPage2.jsp and forward the action to "ActionTwoWithBodyTwo".
    Hope that helps!!

  • How to use session in Struts

    Hello, there:
    It's a simple question.
    I have a web app which has a login page, in its action class I create an object, user, and save it into session by using request.getSession(true).setAttribute("user", user).
    In another action class, I want to use the info of user then I use request.getSession(true).getAttribute("user"); however, the returned object is NULL. Did I use session in a wrong way?
    Thanks,
    Sway

    Did I use session in a wrong way?No, you are using the session correctly. The code looks fine.
    Check
    - your spelling of the attribute names - obviously they must match
    - the ids of the sessions you get both times: session.getId(). If they have different ids, then most probably the session is being lost somewhere.
    There are a number of reasons to lose a session. If you close the browser, invalidate the session in code, or lose the cookie recording the id. This happens when you change from https to http, so a session can be lost that way.
    The session is normally maintained by session cookies. If you close your browser you lose the cookie. If you have disabled cookies on your machine then it also might not work.
    In cases such as that you should be using the method response.encodeURL() to maintain the session for you in any hyperlinks you produce. Struts normally handles that for you though if necessary.
    Hope this helps,

  • In struts Can't display dynamic content using "include"?

    Hi everyone:
    I am using struts1.1. I have a index.jsp and it have a hyperlink "<html:link forward="show">Show All forum</html:link>". In my struts-config.xml there is a element:"
    <global-forwards>
    <forward name="show" path="/jsp/allarticle.jsp"/>
    <forward name="oneforum" path="/article.jsp"/>
              <action path="/article" type="lyo.hotmail.bbs.lovearticle.Savelovearticle" input="/jsp/error.jsp">
              <forward name="success" path="/jsp/loveforum.jsp"/>
    </action>
    I want that the index.jsp will redirect to allarticle.jsp when user click the hyperlink "Show All forum".
    In the allarticle there is a hyperlink "<html:link forward="oneforum">one forum</html:link>"
    The Savelovearticle is an Action class and it disply all the data from database.I using "if(list!=null){
              session.setAttribute("listtable",list);
         }".I display all the content using "<logic:iterate id="love" name="listtable">
    " tag in allarticle.jsp.
    But the Tomcat report error "can't find listtable in any scope"?
    The problem is if I change the struts-config.xml to:
    ////////////////////////after change///////////////////////////////////////////
    <global-forwards>
    <forward name="show" path="/article"/>
    <forward name="oneforum" path="/article.jsp"/>
              <action path="/article" type="lyo.hotmail.bbs.lovearticle.Savelovearticle" input="/jsp/error.jsp">
              <forward name="success" path="/jsp/loveforum.jsp"/>
    </action>
    It will display all the content successfully.Why?
    Whether because that the Action is a servlet so it must retrieve a request directly.My first code don't send the request to the servlet other than send the request to a jsp page.The jsp page can't send the same request to the servlet so the error happened.right?
    How do I fix it?Thks :(

    You want to be using <html:link forward="YOUR_FORWARD"> only when you want to forward to static elements and not elements that require actions. So in index.jsp, since you just want to forward to a static jsp page (allarticle.jsp), you can use
    <html:link forward="show">Show All forum</html:link>But since you want your "one forum" link to populate a session attribute BEFORE loading /jsp/loveforum.jsp, you need
    <html:link action="article">one forum</html:link>The reason it's not working now is because you're accessing a session attribute that isn't populated becuase you link to the page statically and it never gets the value of "list" actually stored in the session.
    The reason it works when you change your forward element is because it calls the action that saves "list" into your session.

    Thanx Praveen,
    I have already googled this error.I found many people have already posted this problem.But my problem is different.I am getting error only when clicking on hyper link otherwise that arraylist is displaying result on jsp.
    I have also gone through this link
    http://blog.smartlogicsolutions.com/2007/06/12/struts-11-problems-with-logiciterate-tags-and-cannot-find-bean-xxx-under-any-scope/
    It talks about :-
    1) using logic:present tag if your arraylist can be null.
    2) Take care that getter setter are properly written.. I mean there are no spelling mistakes.
    3)arraylist is set in request scope.
    4)I have also included the necessary taglibs.
    I have confirmed all these things.Please help me.I am pretty new to java.Thanx.

  • Urgent ! HyperLink in JSP

    Dear fellows,
    What i want to do is
    for example :
    I have following JSP page which look like
    FormID DepartmentID ViewDetails
    cs101 dcs viewdetails (this is hyperlink)
    and FormID and DepartmentID are fatched from database
    what i want to is when is click that (viewdetails) hyperlink go to next page where data will be fatched from database according to formID.
    Thanks.
    if any don't understand. just mail me at [email protected]

    It looks like you have posted this last week too.
    In ViewDetails link, call do action which will bring values from the database.
    View Details
    have an actionmapping in your struts-config.xml for details.do, which will have forwarding page.

  • Struts question - message-resources

    Hi,
    I'm trying to do someting which should be pretty straight forward, but can't figure it out. In my application.properties file I have a setting. (DEBUG = true). I can spit this value out in my jsp easy enough using
    <bean:message key="DEBUG"/>
    But what I want to do is be able to decide in the jsp (using some logic) if the flag is set to true, then show some hyperlinks (for debugging purposes).
    What I kinda want to do is this (i know this doesnt work)....
    <logic:equal name="message?" property="DEBUG" value="true">
    <p>debug mode</p>
         .. print some stuff
    </logic:equal>
    Obviously I'm not getting a handle to a bean here & thats why it doesnt work. But is there a simple way to do this. I dont want to code this property into into a bean - there must be some way of doing it.
    I was looking around on the web and found a site where somebody mentioned that a "messages" bean is created and put in the session. If this is true then I could possibly get the above syntax to work, but I dont know how to get the name of the bean - (message doesnt work)
    Any help would be greatly appeciated
    Paul

    I don't think the logic tags are tied into struts like the bean and html tags. The only way I know of is to get the message resources the hard way...
    <%
    MessageResources mr = (MessageResources)application.getAttribute(Globals.MESSAGES_KEY);
    Locale locale = (Locale)session.getAttribute(Globals.LOCALE_KEY);
    pageContext.setAttribute("DEBUG", mr.getMessage(locale, "DEBUG"));
    %>
    <logic:equals name="DEBUG" value="true">
    That should work, I think.

  • Struts DispatchAction and Formbeans

    I'm writing a webapp that involves administering a bunch of computers from a table like interface.
    I have an Action class "ManageActions" extending DispatchAction, and offers 3 methods: view, edit, and update.
    The view method calls up a view JSP which displays a table in which rows represent computers, and columns represent attributes such as disk size, and other stuff.
    In this table, each cell is hyperlinked to /Manage?method=edit&columnToEdit=something&idToEdit=something
    So the edit() method of ManageActions will take the parameters "columnToEdit" (which attribute) and "idToEdit" (which machine), put the appropriate Machine bean in the request, and forward to a JSP such as editSomeAttribute.jsp or editSomeOtherAttribute.jsp (different JSPs because some attributes are numbers, some are times, some are lists of strings, etc).
    So the thing is, each one of these edit JSPs is a form, and needs a formbean. But because they are just mappings from a single DispatchAction method (ManageActions.edit), I don't really know how to declare the appropriate formbeans in the <action> mapping in struts-config.
    Does anyone know how I might do this?
            <action
                path="/Manage"
                type="com.wizzysoft.configservice.confapp.actions.ManageActions"
                <!-- want to declare multiple form beans here, but not sure how -->
                parameter="method"
                scope="request">
                <!-- want form bean for each of these -->
                <forward name="editSomething"    path="/jsp/editSomethingjsp" />
                <forward name="editSomethingElse" path="/jsp/editSomethingElse.jsp" />
            </action>

  • Excel & Hyperlinking with Sharepoint

    I have a tracking document in Excel that has each entry linked to another place on Sharepoint to locate files and intranet articles. There are no formulas or other complex entries....just text and hyperlinks.
    If I open the Excel file in Sharepoint and edit it there, we have no issues.
    If I download the Excel file to my desktop...all links to other files are broken (the intranet file links remain active). When I try to access the link I receive a pop up window that states, "Cannot open the specified file."
    This is a file accessed by multiple people and used as a resource, there are well over 100 linked entries and the group would like to be able to use the file on their desktops.
    I have already found and unchecked the "Update Links on Save" option. This now allows me to download the file to the desktop, have no access to the links, and then upload it where I can then access the links again.
    Is there any way to preserve the links so they can be accessed on the desktop?
    Software Specs
    Windows 7
    Office 2010
    Explorer 8
    Thank you,
    Christine

    The links are absolute. All links are to our internal team site or to our intranet. The intranet links aren't affected.
    This wasn't an issue before the company upgraded us to Windows 7/Office 2010.
    The links are established (right click, select Hyperlink, copy/paste from browser) while the Excel file is on the desktop and all work fine there.  The Excel file is then uploaded to Sharepoint where the links continue to work. When the Excel file is
    downloaded to the desktop again...all links are broken. If I re-upload it to Sharepoint though, it is fine.
    I double checked the actual link. It reads the same on the desktop initially as it does on Sharepoint. When the file is downloaded to the desktop again it seems to be missing the first half of it. What function could be editing the link?

  • A problem with hyperlinks in my Interactive PDF on smartphones...

    I hope someone can help...  I exported both an interactive and for print PDF from inDesign.  When I view the PDFs on my pc the hyperlinks that I've made in the document work perfectly fine.  When I view the PDFs on my smartphone, the hyperlinks don't work.  I've gone through many forums to make sure all my settings were correct and have tried many different things to try to get them to work, but still no luck.  Has anyone come across this issue?  Is there any way to get these hyperlinks to work on a smartphone?

    Interactive PDFs on mobile devices are nothing short of a crapshoot.
    The readers are hit or miss and the better ones require payment.
    I wish I had better news for you but right now, that’s the way it is.

  • Report navigation after creating hyperlink

    Hi,
    I am using Webi rich clinet XI R3.1. I have one main report with six dashboards and associated detailed reports. I created hyperlink for each of the dashboard and linked to detailed report in infoview.
    If i need to see main report i've to close this detailed report.Now how can i make the detailed report open in same window and navigate forward and backward to the main report instead of closing.
    I would appreciate if some one could provide any work around available if possible atleast.
    Thanks,
    Eswar

    Hi
    Create two links one Back and one Next in each report.
    Drag two free standing cells in the report and use opendocument syntax to create the links.
    The thread Re: Hyperlink Back functionality may give an idea.

  • Hyperlink and Report Parameters

    Hi,
    I have a webi report which has drill filters. I have a drill filter on Month_Name_And_Year column. When I select the drill filter it gives me the report for that particular month_year. In the webi I also have a hyperlink to a nre report which is a detailed report. When the user clicks on the hyperlink I would want them to open the report  for the drill filter value that I select. I believe i need to pass the drill filter value as a paramter and how would I be able to open the detail report for the drill filter that I have selected.
    the code as a hyperlink is as follows:
    ="<a href=http://dev/businessobjects/enterprise115/InfoView/scripts/opendocument.aspx?sType=wid&sDocName=A%20WEBI%20Curd%20Installations&sWindow=New&sPath=[Breed],[Portal Analytics],[Supplemental Services]>"+[Number Of Curd Sales]+"</a>"
    I would require guidance what changes i wil have to make it at hyperlink and the detail report level to have it in sync with the summary report.
    Thank You,
    boe user

    boe user,
    Try this:
    ="<a href =" + "http://webwasqwn1.ecorp.cat.com:8322/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sType=wid&sDocName=fsitem&lsSEnterItem Node Name:="Query 2.Item Node Name(If IsPromptAnswered("Enter FS Items") Then "&lsSEnterFS Items:="+URLEncode(UserResponse("Enter FS Items:"))) + Object + ""

  • Open hyperlinks from database

    Hi,
    I have a table in database that has files uploaded from front-end like XLS, DOC, PDF,TXt etc.
    I need to create a report that shows the filename as hyperlink and when user clicks the link, it should open the attachment in Excel if .XLS, Adobe if .PDF ..
    Ex: Filename
    Test.xls
    plan.Pdf
    roadmap.doc
    Where all entries under "Filename" column is hyperlink and when user clicks hyperlink, it opens the appropriate document
    Can we get this done in BI Publisher out of the box or do we need any custom code?
    Advance thanks to everyone for their valuable feedback.

    ok

    I have a table in database that has files uploaded from front-end like XLS, DOC, PDF,TXt etc.
    >
    in my humble opinion it's not good solution
    why in table? why not use bfile?
    if you want select blob from your table you must always download it to some directory on server in sql/plsql way
    or if you use, as example, c#client then you can download it as byte stream to client side
    if you use bfile then your file stored on some server directory and you can work with by ftp, http as for ebs sample
    so in this case you can't have problem with attachment, you can use url+filename in your report
    --add

    Iam looking for a solution where I can show attachments in BIP report from Database directly.
