I accidently pressed something that enlarged the firefox window and I can't find any of my previous saved tabs or pages which were initially there with the new download
When first using the new download I could find all my old saved pages and frequently used tabs. Now the screen is only showing firefox without the tabs at the top or the firefox drop down box.
Uhhhhh... Thank GOD... Got all of my files.
Spent some time on the phone with Apple Care... who was great to deal with but actually... not as helpful as I was hoping. It was suggested that I try DiskWarrior 4 to try to recover the files. $108 later, I had no files.
More calls with Apple Care and they were pretty sure that everything was gone since once the External drive was installed, like a moron, I let TimeMachine go ahead and back up my new MacBook... so it overwrote who knows how many gig that was my entire MacBook.
I wasn't giving up so I called Maxtor, the manufacturer of the external drive itself. They suggested file recovery software from I365... which is also a Seagate company (the makers of the drive). The suggested I simply use their demo because the demo version would find the files. If it found them, I could buy the software to restore them.
It found them! Another $129 after and I was able to restore all of them back to my old PC laptop.
NOW, I just need to figure out how to get the 50gig of HD video files off of my old laptop now and into my Mac and IMovie so I can actually make some DVDs out of them!
I get that Macs and PCs are different formats but I think it is ridiculous that formatting still means basically just wiping out or at least treating massive lots of old data as if it isn't there. There's gotta be a better way to do that.

I need help from some Apple people. I have an iPod Touch and I wanted to load it up with some fresh music but I currently don't have a PC. I found an app that would allow me to connect to my 2TB network drive directly and I was able to transfer a bunch of music files to the iPod. Unfortunately, these new files do not show under the Music app and I can't seem to find any way to convince the iPod that they are music. I can play them through the file manager only. Android doesn't have this problem, any music I put on my phone is recognized as music and can be played through any of the music apps. Am I missing something or is Apple to inflexible to handle this?
You can't. The only way to get songs in the Music app is to sync from a computer or to download from iTunes.

I'm using Internet Download Manager 6.05, and for this IDM CC 7.2.3 add-ons is automatically integrated with Firefox 4. But when i upgrade my Firefox 4 into Firefox 5, IDM CC 7.2.3 add-ons is disabled. In Mozilla Firefox Help center, I've tried to figure out the solution. When pressing Ctrl+f to find something in a page the Find box remains open until I close it, in ALL tabs I have in the firefox window. How can I make firefox open the Find box ONLY in the tab I am in?

an update alone shouldn't affect the extension - are your other customizations, preferences, etc. still there? then the possibility is high that you'll just have to reinstall scrapbook from addons.mozilla.org again and your data is still available...

How do I undo an update to pages 2.1 on an iPad 2? I can no longer open a document previously saved, even when I try to open it in the iCloud and on my Mac.
With IOS Pages v2.0 and v2.1, Apple introduced a new document format that is incompatible with prior Pages versions on IOS or OS X Pages ’09. Opening older documents with these recent versions of Pages will permanently prevent the document from opening in earlier versions of Pages on IOS or OS X.

There is no undo of an iTunes application update, short of forcing iTunes to restore IOS v6 back on that iPad 2. Even if you did that, you won't find the IOS Pages v1.7.2 in the iTunes store now.
IOS Pages v2+ will allow you to export content in Word .docx format. You do this by first tapping the box with an up-arrow in it (next to the left-most +). A menu will slide up — choose Send a Copy. Select a document icon. Pick Mail, and then Word. Your Pages v2.1 document will now be converted to Word .docx, and attached to an email body. Fill in the to address and send. -
My "Back" arrow disappeared from my Firefox toolbar and I can't find a way to go back to a previous page. How can I get it back on?

Sounds like they might have accidentally been removed from the toolbar. The toolbar can be customized pretty extensively, so it's not an uncommon mistake. Take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[Back and forward or other toolbar items are missing]]. It will show you how to restore the buttons.

If you create an Apple ID for your daughter, signing out of the existing Apple ID with the iTunes & App Store on her iPhone will not change anything on your iPhone.
All apps include DRM protection which is tied to the Apple ID that was used to download the apps.
If she starts using her Apple ID to download apps, when there is an app update for an app on her iPhone that was downloaded with the current shared Apple ID, she will need to use that Apple ID and password to download the app updates. -

are you getting an error message, Odessa? if so, what does it say? include error message numbers if you're getting any.
