I aGenerating a Sequence Number within a String

Hi folks,
I am trying to create a control file which I would be using for load records using SQL*Loader. I need to generate the Sequence Number and use the value for the column REQ_NUM. I have a file TEST.TXT which contains 30 records with STUDENT_ID. I would like to create a control file because I want to load all 30 rows with the same REQ_NUM.
Here is what I have but I need to get the value of the Sequence Number.

Now, I have a Sequence out there that I was planning on using. Assuming that the Sequence is currently at 362, so when I run the SQL, I should get this output below. Makes sense ?

  • Separating character and number within the string

    I want to separate the character and the number within one string.
    For example,
    12345ABCD (the numbers and character may differ in lengths)
    I want to separate into two different string of 12435 and ABCD.

  • Trying to determine the last occurence of a number within a word string.

    Hi All,
    I am trying to find the last occurence of a number within a string. I have had a quick look at the Java Tutorial and know about lastIndexOf and substring. The thing is I have to test for the existance of the numbers 0-9 within a product code that typically looks like this:
    s1_14G12B
    s1_17G1BA
    s2_24GD
    The only part of the above strings that I am interested in is the letter(s) that follow the very last number, so in the case of those codes presented above, I would like to extract the following:
    B
    BA
    D
    I have written some code that performs a similar operation:

    Is their a way to run the dubug command to see what is happening on a specific sequence number within and ACL?
    So for example if I have:
    Extended IP access list 101
    301 permit udp any eq ntp host 10.251.1.1 (12 matches)
    310 permit udp host 10.214.1.2 host 10.251.1.3
    320 permit tcp 10.0.0.0 0.255.255.255 host 10.251.134.81 eq www (12 matches)
    I want to run a debug on sequence number 310 and that is it. So I can see the type of traffic and stuff hitting this speficic sequence number of ACL 106

    try changing the acl line to:
    310 permit udp host 10.214.1.2 host 10.251.1.3 log
    add the global config command 'logging bufferred' and you can view the traffic hitting the logged acl line by using the command:
    show log

  • Find number within string

    Hi guys/gals,
    Im looking to be able to find a number (any number) within a text string, what i ultimately want to do is crop the number out of the string to just be left with a number value, the only problem is the string could be any length and the number doesnt necessarily start at any point from the last character
    I have items on the stage named 'image0', 'textfield2', 'button500' etc, as you can see the prefix before the number isnt a fixed length so I couldnt use substr and set an index, and since the number could be any number i couldnt set the index as a certain value before the end of the string. (ie it might return '500' or 'ld2' or 'ge0' in the examples given before)
    I was looking into how to use IndexOf, but I dont really know how to make it so that it finds any number rather than a specific one
    can anyone help me out?

    One way to do this is by using regular expressions.  In the example below, the str string has anything that is not a number removed.

    Hi
    What you need to do is parse the file in such a way that you read /*, */ and // as tokens. By that I mean rather than read a line at a time (although I'm sure you could), read it character by character. So every time you reach a new line character then increment the counter. But there are two casaes when you don increment the counter they are:
    If you encounter a / followed by * then keep reading but if you encounter a newline character then DONT increment the counter ONLY continue counting when you read a * followed by a / (as this is the end of the comment)
    If you encounter / followed by another / then do not count that particular line and go to the next line and continue counting from there.
    Where I've written 'continue counting' this is subject to the lines that follow not conforming to the above two cases.

    i made a for loop on all character
    and evrey time i am get a sub string from the 0 till the loop index..
    and i am chashing the last string
    so when a sub width is greater the the requested width
    i am returning the lst cashed result

  • How to pass the sequence number of current loop in a for loop in FPGA vi to the host

    What I was trying to do is to use multiple DIO to generate pulse at different sequence. Mode one is to automatically sweep from DIO1 to DIO20; mode 2 is several DIOs generate pulse simoutaneously.  So I use a case structure to make the selection, in the mean time, I set up two for loop in each case so that I can use multiple pulse generations. For example, in scanning mode, if I set 2 exposures, it sweeps from 1 to 20 then do it again.  
    Then I need to get the loop sequence number, i of each scenario. So I put an indicator within the first loop, and create a local variable of it and put in the second one.  Running the FPGA vi alone, I can see the indicator change in each case from 0 to N-1, N being the for loop time.But in the host vi, I tried to add this indicator as an element in the read/write invoke method, in the debugging mode, I could only see it directly jump to N-1 without all the changes I saw in FPGA vi. 
    Is it possible to get this number passed correctly from FPGA vi to the host vi? Thanks

    Excuse me if it looks incorrect, but I'm new to FPGA programming, so I would have to look into the FIFO you referred to.  I used local variables because for one thing I have several different cases containing for loop in each of them, and I only want one indicator for the "i".  If I put the indicator out of any for loop, it's only gonna show the last number which is N-1.  For the other thing, it seems like property nodes are not allowed in FPGA vi.  And by doing this, I can see the i number changing from 0 to N-1 in each case, well, in FPGA vi's front panel.  But while I ran the host vi with everything, the indicator in host vi's front panel only showed the last number N-1. It may be the reason you said, it happened too fast before the indicator in host vi can catch it.
    What I want to realize is to group the data I collect in host vi, for example, when I choose multiple exposure in each mode, and the FPGA runs 1 through 20 then do it again, I want the data stored in two groups using the loop sequence number as the seperator in file name.  So it goes like 1-1, 2-1.......20-1; then 1-2, 2-2,.....20-2.

  • System Extract - Incrementing a sequence number in detail record layout

    I have a system extract for a bank that requires a file header, batch header, detail, batch trailer and file trailer record. The detail record is at the run result level as I am looking to choose all records for a particular deduction (savings bonds) and I also have to put employee ssn and full name. This is working fine. I also have to put a sequence number, ie. detail record layout is record type, length 2, string, record sequence number, 5, ?????, employee SSN, length 9, field, employee full name, length 9, field. I need to increment the record sequence number by one for each detail record in the file. Ie. detail record 1 has record sequence number of 00001, detail record 2 has record sequence number of 00002.
    What type of data element would I set up? For this particular field, I don't need to go against a database field, I only need to keep track of the previous record's sequence number so that I can keep incrementing by 1 until all detail records have been written. The batch trailer has a record count of the number of detail lines and that works fine because I've set that up as a type 'total' with a 'count' of the detail records. I also have in the batch trailer a sum of the pay values from each of the detail records and that works fine as subtrailers allow total data elements where detail records do not.

    You can use any of the below mentioned 2 options in the ctl (Control) file:
    1. SEQUENCE(1,1)
    2. "xxcust_autoinv_seq.nextval"
    where xxcust_autoinv_seq is a database sequence.

    It looks like message can be seen as delimited lsit of sub-messages, where a number of different characters (perhaps ',' amd ':') may serve as delimiters. Each sub-message may or consist (entirely or in part) of something you want to display.Yes. In my first case where is "ANR0166I" I want get the characteres before "," (e.g "OSOGBO," I want get "OSOGBO") excluding "(SESSION: 1506, PROCESS: 2)"
    Would a user-define PL/SQL function be okay for you?Yes.. no problem.
    I'm not good with shell script, but will try show what I want using SHELL commands:

  • Sequence Number in File Name

    Hi All,
    I have a requirment where the Output file name should be appeneded with a sequence number which needs to be in sync with the number of records processed.
    Each time this sequence has to be started from the previous number where it ended.
    The soultion at the moment we have used it to store each time this counter in a file and read is back and update when done. Other solution is to meke use of the Tabe on ECC side
    Is there any solution with in the map it self to maintain this number.

    Within Mapping you cannot save the counter as container and even global variables are flushed once the mapping is executed for the message, so i think we cannot do it using mapping.
    Also, dont know if you have tried OS commands feature provided by SAP for file adapter explained in link below:

    We can first create the file on some temporary location of the application server and then execute a batch file which would contain the code to fetch previous count(variables in OS commands can hold this value) and increment the same and copy the flie thus created by communication channel by appending the count to file name and also delete the file created by communication channel.

    I have the following EBS source file, which has 2 sequence numbers:
    As you can read that the section of :28C is the section of Statement Number/Sequence Number.  According to MT940 standard, as follows:
    This field contains the sequential number of the statement, optionally followed by the sequence number of the message within that statement when more than one message is sent for one statement.   The statement number should be reset to 1 on 1 January of each year.
    The sequence number always starts with 001. When several messages are sent to convey information about a single statement, the first message must contain '/001' in Sequence Number.
    One SWIFT message may contain up to 2000 characters.
    My source file's Statement Number/Sequence Number is correct, which caontains 1 statment (00006) and 2 sequence number which are: 00001 and 00002.  But during EBS upload using FF_5, system only managed upload first portion of the source file, and when come to second portion, 00006/00002, it always says ERROR: EBS (00006) already exist.
    But, based on MT940 standard, it should be OK.
    Therefore, does anyone have any idea why SAP FF_5 cannot handle the EBS source file upload?  Any further settings / configuration in order to hanlde Statement Number/Sequence Number?

    I have encountered the same issue on MT940 with statement number/sequence number in field 28C.
    Our bank sends us MT940 into 17 separate files with sequence number for the same statement number (i.e. 13040/0001, 13040/0002..... and so on) while following the rule as below
    intermediate closing balance must have code :62M:
    and intermediate opening balance must have code :60M:
    finalclosing balance must have code :62F:
    and initial opening balance must have code :60F:
    However, the upload of first file in FF_5 terminated with error FV151 Termination in statement no.acct .... ; closing record 62F missing and subsequent files are with FV150 missing beginning record 60F.
    Would you please share your expertise on how you managed to make FF_5 accept these MT940 files with sequence number?

    First, LabVIEW 7 allows you to pass string and path data types directly into the Matlab script node. Otherwise, in LV <= 6.1 you can do the following:
    In LabVIEW, convert the string to an array of U8s using the String to Byte Array function. Then pass the U8 array into the Matlab script node as a Real Vector type. Finally, in Matlab, convert the Real Vector to a string using the char() function. For example:
    stringAsString = char(stringAsRealVector)

    I don't know wether this is feasible,But you're my last chance to figure out something else.Can i read the sequence number that comes inside the TCP header in the incomming packets?This sound illogical but since there is a method for getting the IP of the sender(And that IP exits in the IP header Network layer i),then the sequence number (TCP header inside the Transport layer)must exits in the packet.Can i read it?
    -And an even more illogical question? can i change that sequence number or the acknowlege number to form a new packet ? Its like converting a packet to and from a packet object to a string of bits ?
    I know excatly where the sequence and acknowledge numbers are located (after how many bits) inside the TCP header?
