  • Cellular Data Account Question-iPad 2 (3G+Wi-Fi)(Verizon Wireless)

I recently purchased a IPad 2 (CDMA/3G + Wi-Fi) from Amazon.com and when I received it the cellular data plan was still intact with the device. My question today would be how do I remove the previous owners Cellular Data Account and If so how do I add my own. Your answer will be greatly appreciated.

You are not talking to Apple on this forum. We are all users here. First thing it would try is to reboot your iPad.
Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't help I'd contact Apple Support.

  • I am trying to set up my verizon cellular data account on my Ipad. When I go to "view account in settings its already on AT

I am trying to set up my verizon cellular data account on my Ipad. When I go to "view account" in settings its already on AT&T, how do I change it to Verizon?

Is this the newest iPad Mini? If so, in order to activate it, you'll need to go into a Verizon Store and get a Verizon SIM.

  • IPad2 Cellular Data Account

When trying to access my cellular data account with Verizon, it brings up the screen to type in user name/password but won't acknowledge that I am typing anything in. IPad problem? or Verizon?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You should look to see if you have any reception in the upper left for Verizon.  Then you'll want to restart the iPad -- hold power button down and slide to turn off, then turn it back on.
If you still have issues, it's probably an iPad problem, and you'd want to troubleshoot it from there, begining with plugging it into iTunes to backup and possibly update.

  • "password too short" with verizon cellular data account

    Hi everyone,
When I try to set up a cellular data account on my ipad 2 with verizon, I continue to receive a "password too short" message. My password exceeds the minimum characters specified and has four numbers. Anyone else getting this infuriating response? Thanks
    Al

Think?  I'd call again and get another rep.  Why in the world a locked account unlock automatically?  Doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose of a lock?

  • HT4157 What is a cellular data account and what's its purpose?

What is a cellular data account and what's its purpose for the iPad3.

It allows you to use the 3G/4G networks for accessing the internet (e.g. emails, browsing etc) - which might be useful if you don't have access to wifi. It can't be used for 'normal' phone calls.

  • Get rid of "Cellular Data Account" iPad message

How can I get rid of "Cellular Data Account" Now / Later message. It is incredibly annoying to have that pop up a number of times each day.
I won't need the AT&T service until I travel and that's not for a few months.

Go to Settings > Cellular Data and turn it off.

I have lost my login information for cellular data account. How do I retrieve it?

I called AT&T at 1-800-331-0500 and asked for IPad support. They are going to send me a new SIM card. This will solve the problem. Thanks for  your help.

  • HT4839 I cant find the cellular data setting on my iphone how i can fix it

i cant find the cellular data setting on my iphone
    how i can fix it
because I can't use the internet with my iphone right now

If you go into Settings>General>Network, you should still be able to access VPN settings. My listings show Cellular Data, Data Roaming, Set Up Personal Hotspot, VPN and Wi-Fi. I do not use Personal Hotspot (tethering) so mine says Setup. However, VPN settings are different than cellular data settings. Not sure which you are asking about now.

  • I can't access my cellular data account on my iPad

Having trouble accessing my cellular data account on iPad , it refuses to accept password, won't send email with forgot password info.

I had this problem and tried every which way to fix it. Then I realized perhaps the email was missing a letter as it was simular to my son's...when i tried his I could access and change the information. (I now 'snap' pictures of each step I do to keep in a safe place, so I can see exactly what info I put in.)  No wonder I never recieved the email confirmation...duh, that should have given me the clue!!

  • Can I manage my ATT cellular data account from a website and not from my device?

I have an iPad2 (iOS 7.0.6) with an ATT cellular data plan for 2GB for 30 days.  Received a usage alert that I only have 0.4 GB left for the remaining 11 days in the billing period.  Settings/Cellular Data/Account (after logging in) only gives macro information about the total usage.
Is there a way to get more detail about cellular data usage?  Like broken down between email, streaming music, web surfing, etc?  The website  www.att.com/att/datacalculator lets you make estimates, but is there a way to use this itemized format to see your actual usage?
Also, is there a way to manage my Cellular Data account online without using the iPad (and without having to suffer through a customer support voice menu that probably won't let me talk to a live person)?  I tried going to www.attwireless.com and using my iPad cellular data account login info there, but the site said I couldn't monitor the device from there (I can only use it for our cellphones).  I'm now in a data conservation mindset and am afraid that accessing the cellular data account to modify the data plan is going to swallow all the remaining data for the month.

The AT&T web site may not break it down, but iOS 7 does.  If you go into Settings -> Cellular Data down near the bottom it provides a list of apps and how much cellular data they have used since you last reset your cellular data counters.  For me, I last reset my counters Sept 11, 2013, and since then I have used 19.5GB on my AT&T cellular network.  Below that it gives a list broken down by app and how much data each has used.

  • If I buy an iPad as a gift for someone, can they add a cellular data account later?

    Hi,
I am looking to buy an iPad air as a gift for someone, but I don't want to sign them up for any sort of cellular data account.
If I buy the regular WiFi iPad, can they pay to have a cellular account added later?
Also, if I were to buy say an AT&T compatible model, and they later change to Sprint, will they still be able to use the iPad on the new plan?
    Any guidance is appreciated!

Yes. Apple or a certified Apple retailer. Any other source may be bogus. With the Apple SIM you don't need to decide what carrier at time of purchase. However, Apple only supports AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile. Of course you can also buy it from your chosen provider if they support and sell them.
I suggest you visit Apple's online store to see what you need. It's well explained. I just bought one two days ago.

I have a cellular data account on my iPad. Almost immediately after I signed up, my e-mail was hacked and had to be cancelled. I cannot get into my AT&T cellular data account now to change the billing and account to my new e-mail. Please help.

According to the AT&T Wireless web site, you can manage your iPad data plan either from the iPad, or by using a web browser:
    From the website
Log in to your account at att.com/iPadlanding using the email address and password you used during activation.
Your account information will display. Select the desired account change option then tap Next.
Read the Terms of Service, and then tap Accept.
Review the Payment Summary to ensure the details are correct. Use the Back button if changes are required, otherwise tap Submit.
Read the Confirmation message then tap OK.
