I am trying to set up my verizon cellular data account on my Ipad. When I go to "view account" in settings its already on AT&T, how do I change it to Verizon?

Is this the newest iPad Mini? If so, in order to activate it, you'll need to go into a Verizon Store and get a Verizon SIM.

Go to Settings>General> Time & Date. Turn automatic time and date off and set it 1 year ahead. Access passbook and then tap App Store. Should get about 7 apps that come up that are available to utilize passbook. Go back into time and date and set it back to automatic. Should be good to go from there.

go to settings and sign out his apple id in the sections i tell you:
1.game center
2.itunes and appstore
3.messages
4.icloud(delete acount;it wont realy delete it will only remove from your ipad)
5.facetime
and then enter your icloud in each and every section

Your ipad has a cellular access number in settings under cellular data.
it is not a phone, and that number can't be used to phone calls.

Verizon Cellular Data...unable to connect

I got the IPad with retina display for Christmas. Last night we called Verizon and activated the Cellular Data. Well....when I got to work today I tried to connect (our wireless here stinks) and it would not connect. When I went into the "view account" section it promptly told me "The SIM card inserted in this devise is already active on a subscription that cannot be managed on this device" How can I get the cellular to work when I do not have WiFi?

Well, there is no way to do what you want, using your iPhone. To do what you want, using your phone, requires tethering your laptop to your phone. This requires setting up Personal Hotspot, which requires using your phone's cellular data plan.
Never heard of this:
"My laptop couldn't connect to the wifi because it's not allowed, but my iPhone can connect to the wifi."
Seems like an idiotic policy, if true.

When I try to set up a cellular data account on my ipad 2 with verizon, I continue to receive a "password too short" message. My password exceeds the minimum characters specified and has four numbers. Anyone else getting this infuriating response? Thanks

It's a pain to type our login and password information on an iPad 2 every time to see account details... Allow us to cache or save these credentials so we can easy check data usage. Better yet, create a way when we connect via cellular, we can get live stats about our utilization.

Why won't my facetime work using the Verizon network? I don't have a separate Internet connection, so I bought the iPad 2 with the cellular data installed...every time I try to use facetime, it tells me that I need to connect to a wifi network & that there is no network connection. ?

I purchase a ipad from a friend. I set up an apple id on my ipad. Iam trying to set up a itunes account for this ipad, i have had a itunes account in the past, but my apple id is the same only with a 36 at the end of my apple id. When I log into itunes to

If those email addresses are already in use somewhere else, you can get new email addresses for your kids. You can do this via your ISP, or by one of the free email services such as hotmail, yahoo, or gmail.

My iPad mini can no longer connect to verizon cellular data network.

My ipad mini no longer communicates with the Verizon network,I can see the signal strength is good but no connection,yes I have paid the bill it shows I have plenty of data usage left. I called Verizon to see if there were network issues in my area,but there is not. They opened a trouble ticket for tech support to track,I have not heard back after 3 days. It has worked great for about a year now,just wondering if others have experinced this. I purchsed from a major retailer with a 2 year warranty extention so I have a year left for service/replacement,fortunately.

Not sure but you might have tried this but it wasn't specifically mentioned.
Turn off Wi-Fi. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. You should or might see No Service in the upper left corner of the iPad. Wait a little while to see if that changes. If it turns to the signal strength indicator then attempt to connect to the internet to see if your data works. If it does you can turn Wi-Fi back on.
You might consider having your iPad examined by a technician. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

On my iPad mini, I tried turning off cellular data for specific apps, but when I exit the settings, they're automatically turned back on. This is ridiculous because I can't turn the Cellular data on without it CONSUMING my 1% of remaining data

I'm almost out of data and I really can't afford to lose what I have left.

Did you get anywhere with this? I'm considering wiping it and setting it up as a new device.
