Your first statement explains the second statement. To use the German iTunes Store, you need to prove that you're a resident of Germany (that is required by the content owners who will not allow cross-border sales) and the only way Apple can provide such a verification is by requiring that you enter in either a German credit card or a German-purchased iTunes prepaid card. Since I presume the former is not a possibility, you'll need to do the latter if you wish to purchase content from the iTunes Store. Again, this is not Apple's choice but is forced on them by the content owners as a requirement for Apple being allowed to sell the content. The EU is working on regulations that would force the content owners to allow access pan-EU, but that's still in the works.
You do not need an iTunes Store account to activate and run your iPad, though; at least, I didn't need one for either of my two iPads. If you only want to set up an account so you can get free iPad apps, take a look here:

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is apparently critical. This seems to come and go, or only apply to App Stores in specific countries, so you may not see the option for "None" when asked for a payment type.

Having a hard time conecting my Epson 545
It has worked before, but for some unexplained reason, in the last few weeks my iMac won't connect to my Epson 545. Because my other Macs (macbook pro and macbook air use the wifi to connect to the iMac and hence the printer, I can't print with my other macs. Any help would be appreciated.
Details:
OS (for all computers involved) = Mountain Lion
Error message on iMac when trying to print = "Printer not connected"
Printer is turned on
Queue on iMac is empty
Queue on Macbook Air shows a backup of print jobs
(The problem seemed to start when I printed from my iPad)

It will work one time and the next nothing internet related will load. I have to actually shut the iPad down and then restart it. It works then but the next time I have the same problem. It sees my wifi connection. It like it won't use it. What's going on?
Your mistake was entering your WiFi address. Forget the network, then let the phone find it on its own. Your router should then assign an IP address. It's a good idea to reboot the router before doing this to assure that all services in it are working.

In addition to the question above, I've never had a problem with previous versions of FF locking up, but now it locks up a lot. I believe this is a beta? I have FF 26 .exe still in a folder. Should I just go back to that version and will these problems clear up? thanks.

I am having a hard time with my fcp x running so slow. i can't even move my mouse without the time wheel coming on and staying up for at least 20 some seconds. I have upgraded my ram to 12 and changed all my files to proxy files; also i cleaned the crap out of my computer removing all other media files I didn't need and it is still running the same. Please help! I have a deadline on my short film to be submitted and I can't finish it like this. Oh also it ran fine in the beginning but and one day it just started doing this out of no where. In addition have you got FileVault switched on as that will kill performance.

You cannot see it because it is hidden.. one of those great things apple does.. if it is hidden in your Mac then it will be hidden in the Time Machine Backup.
You will need to restore the entire folder to a different location.. and unhide it.

I am using PS cs6 and lightroom and I am having a hard time know what color space to choose. The lab that I am using told me that their color space is sRGB. Do I need to have both PS and Lightroom set at sRGB or should I have PS set at adobe RGB and just set my export from lightroom as sRGB?

I'm trying to make a time sheet and include a grid, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to print a full grid on my spreadsheet. There are options for shaded grids but I want a defined grid, and I have spent the last 2 hours looking for the answer. Any ideas?

Are you planning to have this table do any of the calculation, or is is to be used as the electronic equivalent of a sheet of paper with a grid printed on it—a place to record the data.
For your seven column table:
Are you using one or more rows at the top of the table to label the data below? If so, you might want this row (or these rows) to be set as Header Rows.
Are you using the leftmost column to label the rows? If so, you may want this column to be a Header column.
The default table supplied on the "Blank" templates contains one header row and one header column. If you need more (or fewer) Header rows or columns, select the table, then go Table (menu) > Header Rows > (choose the number you need). Repeat to set the number of Header Columns.
To make a seven column table from the table supplied by default, click on any cell in column H (The eighth column), and drag right to add more cells to the selection, until you get to the last column of the table. With these cells selected, Go Table > Delete Columns.
To make the remaining seven columns fit across a single page:
Go View > Show Print View to show the table as it would appear when printed to paper.
Select the table by clicking its icon in the Sheets List to the left (easy method), OR by carefully clicking on the outside boundary of the table itself (fiddley method).
With the table selected, you will see square white handles at each corner and at the middle of each side (including the top and bottom).
With the mouse, grab the handle in the middle of the right side of the table and drag right (or left) until the table just fits onto the width of the defined page.
With the table still selected, set the thickness and colour of the cell boundaries using the Gaphics Inspector (as described by Jerry), or using the Stroke, Thickness and Color Well controls in the Format bar above the working portion of the Window.

SMS is a carrier function. If you're having trouble with sending them, you should start by contacting your carrier.

my macbook air works fine but i can't restart it. it freezes up and displays the thinking circle. after i push the on/off button it shuts down fine and restarts fine. please help

I performed the steps indicated but this morning when I clicked the mouse and hit the space key and clicked the track pad again as before nothing happens.
I hold the power button for a few seconds and the screen fills as if the computer was normally awakened but it is locked up.
Then I have to shut it down with the power button and then power it up as a reboot.
Not good...SMC reset didn't work....Throughout the day yesterday I put the computer to sleep and woke it up normally. It seems to be a overnight problem.
Am I going to have to shut it down everynight?
