Can't get into specific class grades. It's not just here though; many pages load and load and load taking an extremely long time only to get an error message.

I just downloaded the new Mavericks operating sytem on my mid 2010 MacBook Pro, 17" 2.53GHz, Intel Core I5 machine. My IPhoto is no longer working at all, I'm getting an error message that says - "You Can't open the application "IPhoto" because it is not supported on this type of Mac". I also loaded Mavericks onto my other MacBook Pro 17", mid 2009 model and everything works fine. I would think that the newer Mac would easily work with IPhoto. Also, when I try to download from the App Store, it asks for my Apple ID and Password, I enter it, and then the little spinning color wheel just spins forever, with nothing ever happening. I tried downloading the IPhoto Upgrade but it never actually downloads, HELP!!!
What version of iPhoto do you have installed? Is if one of the versions shown as not compatible in this screenshot?
If it is then go to the App Store and download iPhoto 9.5. It will be free if you have an iPhoto 9 or later verson currently.

Keep trying to down load a Magazine I just purchased an I keep getting an error message that "unable to download folio". Have check for enough space and have deleated app. And reloaded. Also rebooted iPad nothing fixes problem.

My Acrobat 8 Pro is failing to print to a pdf from multiple software. I get an error message that a repair fixes but only for a little while. Pretty soon the trial version of 9 that I installed pops up telling me it has expired but it would take me to a way to buy a valid serial number and then 8 stops working again. I’d be happy if the 8 I paid for worked right or I could get 9 for a small cost but I cannot afford $450 or $20/month. I need a permanent solution that I should be already paid for with 8 pro.
After multiple repair procedures with reboot in AA8 I was eventually able to restore the printing to pdf function from various software. However I have again lost my Acrobat tab in Outlook 2007. I need that back, but today an even bigger problem arose. AA8 has stopped printing to fax. It faxes a blank page. The only fax printing option is “Microsoft Shared Fax Driver”. My fax software is “Windows Fax and Scan” and it was working fine just a couple weeks ago. My OS is Windows 7 Professional.
I have tried doing the updates you referred to but I get error messages like these:
“No qualifying products found to apply this update, or update has been already applied”
or
“The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing , or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. I can not uninstall bonjour or itunes. I get a error message that it is on a netwok resource that is unavailable. help get it off so i can load a newer version.

At that point in time is it saying that it can't remove the older version of itunes or the older version of bonjour? (Either could be possible in this context, given your other symptoms, and whichever one is mentioned will make a difference to the treatment method.) -

It looks like you're actually using a camera or phone to take a photo of your monitor.
That's not what is commonly known as a "screen shot".
It looks like you're on a Mac. Hitting Command+Shift+3 places a capture of the contents of your entire monitor on your Desktop; hitting Command+Shift+4 will give you a cross-hairs cursor for you to select just the portion you want to capture.
I'm mentioning this because I fear I'm not construing your original post correctly when you type "I am working with a large files [sic], currently it has 149 layers, all of which are high resolution photographs", so I'm wondering if there's some similar use of your own idiosyncratic nomenclature in your description of your troublesome file.
Perhaps I'm just having a major senior moment myself, but I'm utterly unable to imagine such a file. Would you mind elaborating? -

when I open iphoto I get an error message that says Your photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable, I have tried restarting computer and opening iphoto whilst holding down option and command key, but then I get the following message-Your photo library is damaged or unreadable and cannot be opened. Make a back up now. If you have any vaule in Your photos always have a back up.
Most Simple Back Up
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex:
Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically. Examples of such apps: Chronosync or DejaVu . But are many others. Search on MacUpdate
In Library Manager the Rebuild command is under the File menu. There's also an excellent Help available.

I am trying to download an update to my iphone, but in the middle of the download, I get an error message that reads, 'There was problem downloading the software for the iphone. The network connection timed out'. Any idea how to reslove this issue?

I have done several "attempted downloads, and see the full file download, typically taking 30 minutes to complete, and then something goes wrong.
I am happy to suspend AV and FW software, but would like to know if it is a good fix or not first?

I deleted Firefox and reloaded it - did not solve the problem. This started occurring after I downloaded Windows Service Pack 2. I have Vista 7 OS. So every time I close and relaunch Firefox, I have to sign in with my username and password. Very very, annoying. If I can't get this corrected, I have to start using another Browser.
