I am having trouble tracing a JPEG in illustrator. What is the easiest way to trace a JPEG? I am trying to match a font.
I have a raster based JPEG file. I have almost matched the font perfectly all except the "a". How do I draw the font easiest way possible. Is there a simple way to make it in Illustrator or In Design? I really need some help.

I am not the best drawer especially with the mouse. I have been trying to
use the live trace option but I keep getting a solid white square. Do you
have any advice on getting the live trace to work. I have found a font that
is almost spot on on all letters except "a" letter. I have tried messing
with anchor points and have not got anywhere either.

As JJ said, you want to create an image with a transparent background. You can even use his script. Once you've done all that, click Image > Trim with the "transparent pixels" option and leave all the "trim away" options checked.
Click Edit > Define Pattern to name the pattern.
Open the image you want to apply the watermark to. Create a new blank layer. (ON EDIT: Select the blank layer.)
Click Edit > Fill and use the Pattern option under Contents. Choose the pattern you made earlier. Click OK.
At this point, you can leave it as is or use blending modes and layer opacity to taste. Example: -

That may be a problem with the VLC plugin. VLC has never worked for me properly on the occasions that I've tried it on Windows and Linux, so I have stop using it. There are usually other plugins or media players available that work better.

For WMP files you can install the new Windows Media Player plugin you can also try RealPlayer and QuickTime if it is about media that those programs can handle to see if that works better.

Kind regardsThis is a bad thing to do with JPEGs. You're better off just reducing the 'q' if you want a smaller/faster/lower resolution image. That way you're throwing away resolution intelligently. Using scaling you're throwing resolution away unintelligently. I was on a project where 40,000 images were scaled when they should have been low-q'd. Don't do it.

Debit cards are no longer accepted in the iTunes Store, it seems, at least is some iTunes Stores. The current valid payment methods are listed here:

I just downloaded iTunes to a new computer. It's been a while since I used iTunes on my old computer, so the new one has a totally different user interface. I signed on to my account and saw my music but I have no playlists on the new computer. What's the easiest way to replicate or restore my playlists as I had them in the old computer and in my iPod?
OK, thanks for the response. I'm copying it onto a memory stick to transfer it to the new computer. Still have two questions:
1. Since there is already an iTunes folder on the new computer, created when iTunes was downloaded, where exactly do I copy the old folder onto the computer so that iTunes can find it? In the old interface, there used to be a field where one could designate the path to find music and I don't see that in the new interface.
Assuming the above takes care of putting my playlists onto the new computer...
2. How do I add music that is currently stored in a back up file but was not on my old computer's drive? I'm worried that I would have to add these one by one somehow, and there are a lot of songs.

I recently added my old mac hard drive to a new macbook with an SSD as my main OSX drive. I am having trouble with permissions in viewing my old hard drive, when I save a permission when I reboot the full access is changed again . What is the best way to get complete access to my old hd installed in my new Macbook?
Open the Get Info window for the old drive. Click the Lock icon on the bottom of that window and type in your password. In the permissions area click the Plus sign ( + ) and Add your Username to it and set it to Read & Write. Close that window. you should now have full access to all the files.

Have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I'm having trouble with custom ringtones. I have downloaded the free software "makeTones" and have created some ringtones. I then copied those to Mac and played them in ITunes. My Itunes library does not have a ringtones tab. I can not sync the ringtones (or I don't know how)! Please help.
Yes, the file extension is M4R. Does it matter where I save these files on my Macbook? I then opened them in Itunes and played them. I did find the Tones folder in Itunes but the Tones or Ringtones tab does not show up when I select Iphone (within Itunes). When I open the Tones folder in the Library, it is empty. Clean charging port with clean dry toothbrush. If something more than dust, dirt, debris is present, clean with toothbrush and a small amount (drop) of Isopropyll Alcohol. The pins are on top of the dock midrib.
