I am having trouble with my iPhone 4s if I call someone or they call me I can hear them but they cannot understand me coz on the other end there are funny noises
When someone calls me or I call them I can hear them perfectly fine but on their end it is fuzzy and you can't hear me ? Help plz
Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
If you have been through ALL of the troubleshooting steps and you're still having problems, then you'll need to bring your phone to Apple for investigation.

I ended up getting a new phone, straight through Apple. I called their technical support and went through all he basics again and they decided to replace it. Was a pretty quick process - after defaulting and resetting the whole phone (about 2 hours), I called them back to inform that there was no change, so they set up the order.
I had to give my CC# so they could hold a charge on it (in case I didn't send my old phone bach, which they sent me a pre-posted package to send it in anyway). Had a brand new iPhone 4S in my hands in 4 days, which was pretty decent. I had uploaded everything previously to iCloud, so setting up the new phone was a snap.
Only thing I really didn't like was they charged me almost 30 bucks for shipping or processing, or something. Not so sure that should have been my responsibility after spending so much on a brand new product, only to have to have it warrantied after, like, a month. -
My iPhone 3G can make calls and i can hear them but they cant hear me......
I just got my iPhone 3G yesterday and when I make calls, that person can talk to me and I can hear them, but when I talk they cant hear me. It has nothing to do with the mute button though. But if I use the headset or a bluetooth device I can talk to that person. How can I Use the phone itself without a headset or bluetooth. HELP ME PLEASEEEE!

I dread going to the AT&T store like no other, but all of the LA and OC area Apple stores had been out of the 8g iPhone for days and I couldn't wait any longer to get one. I'm hoping this doesn't mean I have to take it there...

I have been having trouble with my iphone 4 for the past day . i tried to update it to 7.0.4 then the screen went blank and it keeps telling me to connect to itunes . I have connected it to 2 computers , using different cords and it doesnt recognize it . It says it is in recovery mode and i need to restore . after clicking restore it says that my iphone cannot be restored . I am very frustrated because i have been online searching for solutions all day and nothing seems to work . As soon as i turn on my phone it goes to the apple logo for about 2 seconds then the connect to itunes screen . SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ! my phone is my life and i need it back on .
Connect the device to iTunes and restore from the most current backup.
If the issue continues, restore as new. -
I am having trouble with my iphone, I updated it and when I turned on the screen the ituns and USB icon appear. I've tried to restore it but it sends me to the ituns icon right away and I dont know what to do.

I'm having trouble with my 'sound up' and 'sound down' keys. They're doing other functions. This is only a relatively new thing.
You didn't mention what those "other functions" were. That might help!
First thing to check is System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard tab - make sure "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" is un-checked. Hopefully that still works in Mountain Lion. -
Having trouble with touch screen. Freezes, texting adds more letters, screen locks up. Got new phone, synced new phone and now it does the same thing??
I also tried the Hard Restart and still has the problem?

When I connect from my mac via facetime with my friend's iphone or ipad we can see each other and I can hear them but they can't hear me. The mute is not applied, and the microphone seems to work with other applications. Help!
I have same issue in my MB Air with Snow Leopard. It used to work fine but one day I found that the mic mute was locked on. I went to System and ensured mic was working by seeing the bars move. I went to Facetime > Video drop down and it is all greyed out so not active and the mic symbol in Facetime pane has a line through it (muted) and is dead. I have tried everythinng to UNmute the mic. Two way video is fine and I can hear the other party perfectly. Seems like this happened about the time of a Snow Leopard update but may be wrong. Issue is several months old and, well, getting old! I love Facetime with my grandkids etc. who all use Apple stuff. There HAS to be a way to reactivate the mic in my MB Air. Could someone please help??

Calls have been dropping out mid-call (after initially working) with full reception since upgrading my iPhone 4 to iOS5 (can hear them but they can't hear me). The call initially works but then after a minute or so, they stop hearing me, even though I can hear them. Sometimes it goes the other way and I can't hear them.
Please advise how to remedy ASAP.PS: I have had full reception bars when this has occured on a 3G network in Sydney, Australia (3 Mobile).
