Provider Webservice in Backend ECC system (NW 7.0, Enp1) and PI /XI 7.0,

Hello
Our backend ECC is on EnhP4 (there by NW 7.0, EnhP1), As I understand, since NW 7.0, SP 14, webservices runtime has been changed significantly to support asynchronous webservices (through WS-RM).
This ECC system is connected to our PI 7.0 system. In the back end ECC system, when I create ABAP server proxy for a synchronous interface from SPROXY, the generated proxy is also visible as a service in SOAMANAGER. However, when I do the same for asynchronous interface, the service is not visible in SOAMANAGER.
Is this an expected behavior? Does this mean, we can only expose 'out side in' approach webservices in synchronous mode if the ESR is of version 7.0? The reason I say this is when I connect the same ECC system a PI 7.1 system, I am able to expose asynchronous services that are generated out of SPROXY.
The intent here is to design the interfaces in XI 7.0, expose them as web service in ECC and consume the webservice using another EAI tool that supports WS-RM.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
KK

Thanks. Your answer makes sense with what we are observing. Do you know if this is documented somewhere in help documentation or some note.
On another note what doesn't make sense to me is why this limitation? Not sure what I am missing. Doesn't the webservice runtime in NW 7.0 support WS-RM from SP14. Why should it be dependent on the version of PI in case of point to point webservice. Unless you say we can use WS-RM in back end NW 7.0 through PI 7.1's WS adapter only.
For me this sounds like a limitation on the NW 7.0/SP14 side. What do you think?

  • How to call data from backend ECC system in Gateway Hub System?

    Hi Experts,
We have a scenario where the GR process has to be done on Mobile app. We have a SMP 3.0 and Netweaver gayeway deployed as Hub.
I really need quick pointers on how should we go about  this?
    My queries are mentioned below:
1.I don't see SAP data in Gateway system. So will we need to create RFCs in ECC and call them in Gateway system.
    2. Will we need to install IW_BEP in backend system? Can someone explain its real purpose?
    3. How do we do our data modelling? How do i define it if I don't have my SAP data structures in Gateway system.
Your guidance will really be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Saket.

    Hi sanket,
    Answering to your second question,
IW_BEP Component is used to handle the events and actions activated in the SAP system and to publish these events and actions through SAP NetWeaver Gateway.
The BEP functionality enables you to:
Obtain and publish Business Object Repository (BOR) events without writing code. For example events raised as a result of changes in a business object: because of changes in a sales inventory, an event is raised and published to SAP NetWeaver Gateway.
Obtain and send events for SAP Business Workflow, for example, an event is raised for a workflow user decision step.
Obtain and send events from your code, for example, events raised as a result of implemented customer code, such as BAdI implementations.

How can we add a backend system to a stand alone ep7.0  system. Can you please post the links or send me the documents to [email protected]

    Hey Vamshi,
Check out this blog. It gives you the steps to configure Singl Sign On between Portal and a ERP System.
Quick Guide for setting up SSO between EP and R/3
Before that you would need to create a "system" in the portal system landscape representing the ERP System. The template you would need to choose is "SAP system with load balancing".

    Dear,
English and German are default languages in sap. to install chinese you need to import in the system via SMLT tcode.
    a)       Start transaction SMLT.
    b)       Select a language.
    c)       Choose Language ® Special Actions ® Import Support Packages.

  • MDM's Source ECC System Splitting into Two

We are running MDM 5.5 and have a single source ECC system, PR1_400, that serves two divisions (Europe and North America).  Our company is going to create a separate ECC system for the European division and leave PR1_400 for NA.
The problem is that all of the data in MDM has key mappings to PR1_400 and the European items will need to become tied to XYZ_400.  Has anyone experienced such a change and have recommendations?
    Thank you.

    Hi Keith
If you haven't installed syndication server - install it
You haven't configured remote systems and inbound/outbound ports in your repository
    1) stop repository
    2) create two remote systems (EU and AF for example)
    3) create inbound/outbound ports for remote systems
    4) set "key mapping" parameters in main table to "Yes"
    5) load repository
    6) Syndicate or save form Data Manager all data to files
    7) Create import maps in Import manager for all source files( and save its in repository
    8) stop repository
    9) go to inbound/outbound ports and select early saved map files for automatically load data
    10) start repository
    11) put source file to inbound directories
    12) start syndication server
    13) wait when import process was done
    14) load data manager (you see triple records from EU from AF and with empty "edit key mappings" properties)
    15) select matching mode and turn matching rules for key fields
    16) run matching process
    17) merge tree to one record
    18) after that one result record had tree remote systems in "edit key mappings" propeties
    manually
do step 1-10 if it need
    11) stay ro record and load "edit key mappings" propeties
    12) push add button select remote system
    13) push OK
    14) dublicate records
    15) do step 12-13 only select another remote system
    16) do that steps 11-15 for all records
    17) do steps 15-18 but with two identical records
    finish

  • How to find out Shopping Cart created in backend system or ECC system

    Hi All,
I am new  to SAP SRM7.0.  The Client has implemented "Extended Classic Scenario".  i.e. SC>Approval>PO>Confirmation>Invoice process in ECC.
We created few SC with "Free text" i.e. Describe what you need option in SC.
The SC is created with 4 digit number 2690.  Also, the Status " Approved". since its low value.say 5 GBP.
I have like 25 to 30 SC created like this:  I need to know the following:-
    1. When i open SC and look for Related document, i see only SC number , but no Follow on document.  not sure why ?
    2. How can i know the list of SC in backend system. i.e like ECC of the SRM backend system.  Please let me know the table name it get stored.. I searched EBAN and found only those which has PO is stored.
also can you please advise if by creating the SC in SRM.. will get replicated in ECC system ?. or only if Follow on doc gets created it will get replicated in ECC system?.
    Thx
    MJ

    Hi,
SC is never replicated to backend.
Extended scenario document flow is SC -> SRM PO(Main) -> ERP PO(Copy).
Please go to BBP_PD transaction and navigate to SC item detail. You see what is the follow-on document.

  • RSA1 - ECC 5.0 Backend "Source System" shows up as a BW System?????

    Hello,
I'm working in RSA1 on my development BI system (BID) building a source system connection to our R/3 (ECC 5.0) (DEV) backend system. I've got the logical systems defined and assigned, clients opened, and users built.
    Here's the issue:
When I build the connection to the backend ECC 5.0 system, it's coming up as a BIW system (see Message Test below - that' from the log)
My question is - is it seeing it as a BW System, versus an R/3 System, because in ECC 5.0 BIW is integrated / delivered within ECC 5.0?

  • SLD webservice to get Business system details

    Hi,
Is there a standard SAP provided webservice in SLD with which i can read all the properties of a business system?
    My scenario is like below:
I have the logical system name with me in an external system, i need to resolve the details regarding the logical system from the business system details in the SLD.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Renjith John Andrews

    Hi VJ,
Thank you very much for your response.
Actually i had seen the FM from inside SLDCHECK on the backend system.
However, the scenario that i am in -  is that i need this information on a different system altogether which is java based.
Also, I have seen other forum posts which have pointed out to use CIM java APIs to read SLD details.
I was hoping that SAP has supplied a standard service so that i can avoid the usage of the APIs directly in my coding and use an SAP published service.

  • Connecting multiple ECC Clients on same ECC system to BW system(s)

    Hello.
We are considering connecting our Dev BW system to multiple clients on the same Dev ECC system. This connection would be for a limited time.  We are wondering what the effect would be on the ECC system after we 'disconnect' our BW system from one of the clients.
Another thing we are considering is to create a seperate BW sandbox system and to connect that to a client on our Dev ECC system.  The Dev ECC system will, at the same time, have a connection to a client on our existing Dev BW system. For example, having DEVBWcnlt100 -> DEVECCclnt100 and SNDBWclnt200 -> DEVECCclnt200 where DEVECC is a system and DEVBW and SNDBW are systems of their own. Our Sandbox BW system will have a limited life and at some point be taken down and no longer be a valid source system for the DEVECC system. We are concerned about what the impact would be to the DEV ECC system's client independent data once the Sandbox BW system is disconnected and taken down permenantly. Is 'residual' client independent data something we need to be concerned about? Is having two different BW systems connected to ECC clients on the same ECC systems a 'bad practice'? Any and all comments are welcome as we have not yet acted on our ideas yet.
Thanks very much for whatever comments you might provide,
    Geoff.

We are considering connecting our Dev BW system to multiple clients on the same Dev ECC system. This connection would be for a limited time. We are wondering what the effect would be on the ECC system after we 'disconnect' our BW system from one of the clients.
No impact on the BW system. The only thing that you will have to take care of is that any process chains which fetch data from this DEV ECC system should not be put on periodic cycle because after disconnecting the ECC system, these would start failing.
Again no impact on ECC system. As for the client connected earlier to sandbox system, just clear all the queues in RSA7, LBWQ
Is having two different BW systems connected to ECC clients on the same ECC systems a 'bad practice'?
No its not at all a bad practice

    Hi,
you can check few things prior proceeding:
Does your connector test after adding your backend system in portal works fine?
Did you define a system alias?
Make sure your SSO is working,
Also check your Jco detination webdynpro tab.

  • Creation of sales order in CRM and replicating it to Multiple ECC system.

We have a requirement for creation of sales order in CRM and replicating it to Multiple ECC system.
We have checked the following standard Adapter objects in transaction R3AC1.
    BUS_TRANS_MSG
The initial flow contexts does not support target site type as R/3(SMOF_ ERPSITE). So we are not able to replicate the sales order from CRM
    to ECC.

Here the initial flow contexts does not support flow from CRM -> R/3 as we don’t see the target site as CRM.
Please let us know if the standard sap middleware objects don’t support the sales order flow from CRM to multiple ECC or is there any
other adapter object we need to use for this.

Do we need to impl BADI PUR_SE_PO_INTERFACE_OUT_SELECT

  • SAP GRC 10 - PSS Access from SAP ECC System

I have configured Password Self Service in GRC System and is working perfectly fine for all password resets if access provided to NWBC from  GRC System.
We have requirement to provide end users to reset password using SAP ECC System only. I have tried to access NWBC using SAP ECC System but is giving me error that Menu not configured or roles not assigned.
Currently Maintain Data Sources is configured as below
User Search Data Sources , User Detail Data Sources  & User Authentication Data Sources set to ECC Connector and End User Vertification Set to yes.We are not using LDAP / Active Directory for the User Search Database and instead ECC Only
Can anyone provide the roles to be assigned in SAP ECC System to access NWBC - Password Reset .

    Hi Anil,
In support to Colleen's comments, It seems that you have not configured the USER on the End User Services.  You need to make sure that the guest user (not available in GRC) is configured in each of the 10 services in SICF for the end user Login Pages to work.
Here are the 10 required services to be activated:
    1.)GRAC_OIF_MY_PROFILE_EU
    2.)GRAC_GAF_NAME_CHANGE_SERV_EU
    3.)GRAC_POWL_REQUEST_STATUS_EU
    4.)GRAC_GAF_PWD_SELFSERVICE_EU

    9.)GRAC_GAF_ACCREQ_WITH_USEREF_EU
    10.)GRAC_UIBB_END_USER_LOGIN
    You can refer note#http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1628387
If the user is not present in GRC system then, they have to go with end-user-logon page to reset their passwords where you can always define the user authentication configurations.

  • Change of the backend logical system server

    Hi all,
Our client is changing the backend logical system's server which is of ECC 6.0 moving all the transports in production from ECC system to another.
Can anyone explain what will be the impact to the SRM server? We have SRM 5.0( two clients one for EBP and another for SUS) and ECC 6.0 as the backend.
Do anyone else share their experience while changing the backend server in this case?
Our client says they will use the same name of the logical system so that all the config with that logical system name is taken care of.
    Any thoughts on this please.
    Best regards,
    Sridhar.

    Hi Dinesh,
Yes we are using backend material groups and materials. I hope you are speaking about the CRMPRLS (in R3) and CRMMLSGUID (in SRM) tables GUID entry for the backend logical system. We will verify that entry.
But can anyone has come across the same scenario,
You mean to say we have to follow the steps and do material replication again for the new backend server.
We have a plan to use same logical system name for the new production server also.
    Any clues/suggestions.
    Best regards,
    Sridhar
