I am looking for support migrating Eudora 6.2.4 to Thunderbird

I have been hanging on to an antiquated Eudora email program (6.2.4) for far too long because I did not know how to migrate it, all of the settings, address book, filters, folders, etc. to Thunderbird. As a result I'm still running Mac OS 10.4.11. I am looking for support making the transition.

well you have waited to long for current versions, so your going to have to install an old version and then upgrade it as some of the Eudora stuff is missing from current versions.
Start with V3, as that was the last major profile shake up and a good starting point to upgrade to and from as it was the basis of eudora OSE.

Once the import has completed and your happy with things upgrade to the latest version by downloading it and simply running the installer.

Laptop keeps looking for previous migration machine at start up

Every time I start my machine it keeps looking for my previous laptop which was used to migrate my information. This slows the start up down considerably. It seems to think that this is a server I want to connect to by default and says it is not, understandably, available.
Is there any way to stop this? Thanks

Since it will startup in safe mode, that tells you that there is some third party software that is attempting to startup in normal that is causing the problem. So now that you know that, you are going to have to start looking at what third party software is causing your problems.

Looking for support for SOAP

I am looking for some support for SOAP. I was thinking of either three options.
1. A proper soap dish
2. An old saucer
3. Just leave it next to the basin.

Looking for Deployment/Migration Steps for personalized OA page

Hi,
I have personalized a Standard page thru Functional Administrator responsbility. I have done this in the Development Instance. Now I need to migrate the personalization changes from Development instance to Testing Instance. I have gone thru steps specified in Chapter 4 of OA Framework Personalization Guide. When I exported my personalized page from Development Instance using "oracle.jrad.tools.xml.exporter.XMLExporter", in the export XML (MDS) file I am not seeing the personalized column details. Does the export page will not have any personalized item details? If not then how it will be migrated to next instance if we use this export file for the migration?
For example, I have added an LOVmessage for the existing Standard page thru personalization at site level using the Functional Administrator responsbility. After this I export the standard page. In the export XML file I didn't find the details of the new LOV that I have addded to the page thru Personalization.
Please let me know steps to migrate a OA page after doing personalization.

this exported the file to /home/nkathi01/iproc_cust/personalized/oracle/apps/icx/por/req/webui/CheckoutSummaryPG.xml
When I opened the "CheckoutSummaryPG.xml" I not seeing any personalized items in the xml, I searched for the item-id which I added to the page thru personalization. So I am doubting how this personalization will be migrated into the next instance.
Please clear my doubt.

The CF11 FAQ mentions "migration resources" and has a link but when you follow it, it doesn't take you to any migration documents.

Retina user looking for support with regards to Microsoft Office

Hello, many of you are already aware that Microsoft Office (like many other 3rd party apps) has not been optimized for the Macbook Pro Retina. I am fully aware that it may be a while before they update it, however, they're more likely to take action if they notice an influx of complaints. What I'm asking is for everyone who uses Microsoft Office to submit a feedback letter (link provided below) demanding at the very least a statement about the situation and if they are choosing to upgrade to retina in the near future. I believe that this may be our only choice to bring awareness at this present time. If you do choose to take the time to submit a mail, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

MS is not going to update the current version just to work better on a Mac W/Retina display. They may with a future version but I doubt they will on the current one.
Actually Mac users are lucky MS make a Mac vesrion of Office to begin with. They would rather you buy a Win PC with Windows and Office or buy Windows to install on your Mac and Office for Windows.

Have you tried just unplugging and plugging them in, again?
Tried using different USB ports?
Have you tried a PRAM reset?
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

If the system reset doesn't work, here are a couple of other things that you can try.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again.

How do I get money back on Quickoffice pro as it doesn't work and I cannot email the developers website to ask for support? If you cannot select cells or cell ranges to a sum formula then the software is not fit for purpose and I should be refunded?

I am specifially and exclusively looking for recommendations for an iPad(iPad/Mac) app that allows for my playlists to be migrated to iPad intact and playable.
iTunes -> Podcast/Music/Videos does not support mixed (music/video/podcast) playlits or video playlist at all. The app(s) should be able to easily create these playlist on the Mac (and manage content) much like iTunes (10).
On the phone with tech support today and they agree this is missing functionality from Apple. They suggested I reach out on to other users that may have a thrid party solution.

My new mac is stuck on "looking for source" in Migration Assistant.

My new MacBook Pro arrived today and I am so excited to finally have a new Laptop. I made it through the startup process okay, until i made it to the screen that says "Transfer information to this Mac." My previous laptop was a windows 7 HP brand laptop, so on the previous screen I had selected Transfer "From a windows PC". Then the screen read "looking for source" and it had said it for quite a while before I clicked the back button a couple of times to quit out. Also, I am a college student living on campus so I referred back to the packet that IT gave all the students at the beginning of the year to set up the wifi on my new Mac. I had problems setting up the wifi so I visited IT and they set it up for me. Then after I came back from IT I tried the Migration Assistant again. And unfortunately it is not working and my Mac is still on that same screen
