It would appear that apple has managed to p1ss off alot of ipad one users in one fowl swoop, what makes it worse is that fact we were the early adoptors who got asked, why do you want a big iphone for? and then spent time showing people how good it was! actually promoting it for apple! and then to get this kick in the teeth is frustrating! i wish i had known about xcode before!

clearly they were planning on releasing this update to us, otherwise on the spalsh screen it would have stated ipad 2 only, note in the sentence above it states it CLEARLY makes a reference to ipad 2 for airplay, so, whatever the problem, they can fix it and they know it works!

My midi keyboard isn't registering on Logic Pro 8 and I can't work out why. It's all plugged up correctly. The sound card outputs fine - I can hear what I've previously recorded but can't input any more. Any help gratefully received.

Hi, thanks for reply. I was running Logic Express but upgraded. Now I seem to have problems. I have latest drivers for my audiophile. The operating system is 10.4.11. The keyboard just doesn't seem to register - in or out. I've spent hours on the environment, trying to decide which of the conflicting video tutorials to follow......

"Touch Gestures" Option Missing from Photoshop

I am using a Surface Pro 3 with Photoshop CC (2014). When I follow instructions to enable Touch in Photoshop (Edit -> Preferences -> Experimental Features -> tick the boxes next to “Scale UI 200% for high density displays” and “Use Touch Gestures) the "Use Touch Gestures" does not appear. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

No I wasn't suggesting that you made it up. Just letting you know that what you are experiencing is not normal. As should be working, that's all.
See if there is an update available for your surface. Depending on when and where you received the surface is could be behind in an update. (guessing)
Also verify that you are running the latest version of photoshop as well. Right now it sounds like a driver issue, but again just guessing.

Is anyone else having trouble with multi touch gestures since upgrading to ios8?

SSince I upgraded my iPad (retina, large dock port) I seem to have lost the 5 finger pinch to close apps. I can get it working again by going to settings and turning ,uti touch gestures off and on again and this seems to work for a while, until I put the ipad to sleep and wake it up again.
any ideas?

Same goes for me. No gesture on ipad2 running ios8. Plus, applications often crash, including safari and apple apps.

What is a raw file?
A raw file is the unprocessed light data that was captured by your camera sensor. The only settings on your camera that apply to this file are aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. This means that any settings you may have applied to the file, such as white balance, or black and white effects, have no effect. Because this sensor data is raw, it must be processed or baked into an actual image file, that's where the Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) plug-in comes in.
What is Adobe Camera Raw?
ACR interprets the raw data and makes image information out of it. But every camera has a unique sensor and thus has a unique form of raw file. Even though camera manufactures may use the same file extension each time (e.g. Nikon raw files are always .NEF), each camera model has a different way of storing information. Because of this, we must continually update ACR for new cameras. As we add new cameras to the list (over 300 now) we update our published list of supported cameras. Additionally, with the changes to ACR, newer releases will not always be compatible with older versions of Photoshop.

Can I run Tiger or Leopard with these specs? + why is computer so slow?

I have an ibook dual USB with a 600 MHz Power PC G3 processor, 256 MB SDRAM. Right now I have 3.53 GB available on the hard drive. I need to be able to run Tiger on it for my work as an online writing tutor and freelance writer. I send files to Windows users, so I'd like to be able to run Leopard when it appears.
Is there any way I can update this computer--more memory, faster processor?--so that it will run these operating systems without taking a million years and/or crashing frequently?
Right now, it's running extremely slowly as is. For example, I just tried to open Systems Profiler to give more info about the computer, and after 2 minutes it still hadn't opened.
I'm thinking I should spring for a new laptop when Leopard comes out, or maybe get one now with Tiger before my computer becomes totally fried.

What is the hard drive capacity? You are running with it very full right now. I recommend keeping at least 5 GB available. Maybe you could do a bit of housecleaning to make a little more space available?
I don't recommend installing Tiger on a G3 iBook. In my opinion, OS X 10.3.9 is the optimal installation for the 600 MHz iBook.
How long has it been since you did any hard drive maintenance? If it's been awhile, try booting into Safe Mode. This will take quite awhile longer than a normal startup because it does a file check and repair of the hard disk.
You will see your normal desktop. Once completely started up in Safe Mode, restart normally, and go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility. Click on the top hard drive icon in the left sidebar and note the S.M.A.R.T. status at the bottom right of the pane. What does it say?
Select the named boot volume in the left sidebar ("Macintosh HD" unless you've renamed it). Repair permissions on it.
See if a little hard drive maintenance helps speed things up a bit.
Additional RAM would help the speed a mite, but a new MacBook is likely the wiser choice.

I was told by chat support that touch support was not included in the trial of photoshop cc. I purchased subscription and it was still not there. When I contacted support about this they said it would not be there until payment was processed. After payment processed I uninstalled it and reinstalled it but it's still not there. I am running a Windows Surface Pro with windows 8.1.
