Tried that, didn't work.
Turns out Safari "forces" the french web interface by using the 'hl=fr' code in the url. for example http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=fr
Evidently that overrides local settings, even if you're logged into your Google account.
So, since I can't modify the search query url in Safari without jb'ing my phone, I'd say this one's a bust.

For gmail you could try unlocking your account here: https://accounts.google.com/b/0/DisplayUnlockCaptcha. Don't know about hotmail.

Yeah send it from your phone.
Your computer has no knowledge of your phones phone number, it is not a phone.

I got a new SSD and I cannot put anything onto my iPhone 4S through the SSD, but I can on my old HDD. How can I fix this issue?

So recently I purchased a 250g SSD for my new build, while still keeping my old 1TB HDD. Whenver I try to use iTunes (the latest), I cannot transfer ANYTHING onto my iPhone 4S. There is no "Add to" button, nor can I drag and drop. However, I can do both on my old HDD. I also own an iPad 4, which I can easily use on both drives. This is quite annoying because I have to restart my computer just to add music or videos, etc. I do not want to sync because I will lose all of my music, or whatever else it takes, and I do not want that.
So how can I enable file transferring on my new SSD?

Move the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer, or drives in this case.
iDevices are designed to only sync to one library (computer). Attempts to sync with a new library will require removing all media from the device and replacing with media from the new library.

My mac can see the network but won't connect to the server

I have an intel Imac. The network connect is working but very squirrelly. I see most objects on the network. I can see the server but it will not let me connect.
I go to another mac and I can connect to the server. So I think its my mac 10.7.5 is the OS

Probably nothign to do with your iMac or OS X, have you attempted resetting your router? Also you haven't stated what messages you are getting or any other information. If this is at your work then I'd suggest contacting your IT support person, the connection to your network may be on their end.

Not able to connect to wifi using iPhone 4 with OS5, sees the network but won't connect.

Recently upgraded my iPhone 4 to the OS5 and I keep having sporadic issues with connecting to my home wifi, it sees the network but never connects. I turned of Location Services and Cellular Data for that had worked sometimes, but now it just keeps spining and never connects. I tried to reset network settings, reset my wifi router and reset my phone and nothing, it will connect at my church for example and other places but not at home. Try restarting your router first, turn it off for a minute then back on. then go to settings on your phone, then wifi, tap on the blue arrow to the right of your wifi 's name, then tap forget this network. Go into iCloud on your computer and turn off Find My iPhone for the one you sold.

first step would be reboot

Once you get it going you need to make sure you do the following so that you can sell the phone.
Turn off imessage in settings/messages
Turn off Facetime in settings/Facetime
Delete icloud account in settings/ilcoud
Erase all data and settings in settings/general/reset
Delete the phone from your profile in https://supportprofile.apple.com

When you look at your iPhone, are you looking in the Music app or in the iTunes app? Be sure you are looking in the Music app, and look in the Songs category. If your songs are not here, you may want to try syncing your information again through iTunes. To do this, uncheck "Sync Music" and then click apply or sync in the bottom right corner of iTunes, and then recheck "Sync Music" and then click apply or sync again.
