I am trying to activate my new Verizon Iphone. I am getting a message saying "A server problem is blocking Apple ID sign in. Please try again later." What is this and it seems to be persisting.........can't activate my long awaited new phone!

I was able to workaround this issue by clicking the "Skip" option on the first screen. Afterwards, I went back and manually entered my me.com Apple ID in Settings | iCloud and my iTunes Apple ID in Settings | Store. Doing it this way doesn't ask you to enter your birthday and I haven't yet found where that is supposed to be set. However, everything appears to be working correctly without it. Hope this helps!

Ask him if he has 'jailbroken' the ipod touch. Some jailbreaking firmware resets it to Ipad firmware and so it is very difficult to restore as itunes simply doesnt recognise it for what it is. It's Apple's solution to try and stop mass jailbreaking.

Might be a Safari extension...
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab.
If there are any extensions installed, turn that OFF, then quit and relaunch Safari to test. -
When trying to log into yahoo mail, I get the message saying 'The page isn't redirecting properly'. I deleted history/ restarted firefox. How can this be fixed?
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)

iTunes version 10.7 requires at least Mac OS X version 10.6.8 if you're running a Mac, or Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later if you're running Windows.
Is your computer up-to-date enough for iTunes 10.7? -

They aren't around nor do i have anyway of getting a hold of them. How do i activate the phone with my appleid?
If you cannot contact the previous owner, then the iPhone is unusuable. There is no way past the activation lock without the Apple ID and password used to set up the lock, or the previous owner removing the device from his/her iCloud account.
If you purchased the iPhone though a service such as eBay that offers buyer protection, contact that service and file a complaint and get your money back. If you purchased the iPhone privately, then you've wasted your money.

I recently tried to activate my iPhone that I bought brand new from eBay. I set up the phone so I could do everything with wifi but the other day, I called Verizon to get the phone activated but they said the IPhone is alreadyunder an account. I only set up my iTunes and iCloud on my phone. I contacted the seller and told them what Verizon said but she said the phone was already deactivated. What do I need to do? Or is there no hope? Help please
If the eBay seller said the iPhone was already deactivated, then that is an admission that it was not a new iPhone. It was used and activated by another user.
Take your purchase receipt and the iPhone to a Verizon store, talk with their staff, and see if there is a way to get the iPhone removed from the other account.
This may take time as they will likely want to be sure the iPhone has not been reported as stolen. -
I am trying to activate my iPhone 4 via iTunes but i keep getting the error (1) message at the end of the restore. I believe my iphone has to be in DFU mode but i already tried that and same thing. Does anyone have any suggestions?
The error is just a simple error message just like (1013) instead it says (1). The iPhone I am trying to activate has been activated before I just currently have no service and I think that activating it will solve the problem. I just can't restore through iTunes because it won't finish. I get the message every time I try to restore.

no, i thought it was that the itunes store was trying to help it come out of recovery mode by updating it to latest ios 6.1.3 but then i saw that my friend was having the same ssue and somehow downgraded it to the latest ios for iphone 3gs which is 4.2.1 so if i can figure out how to do that, i will post on how to do that

Congratulations on your new iPhone! I recommend the following steps when encountering an activation error:
Restart the iPhone.
Try another means of reaching the activation server and attempt to activate.
Try connecting to a known-good Wi-Fi network if you're unable to activate using a cellular data connection.
Try connecting to iTunes if you're unable to activate using Wi-Fi.
Restore the iPhone.

I purchased an unlocked iPhone4 last month. Everything was fine till yesterday. Today morning when I tried to check mail, i suddenly got an error message saying " Could not activate cellular data network: you are not subscribed to a cellular data service", when I checked on my network settings i was not able to find the cellular data network tab ( where we use to input APN manually). i even tried to restore my iPhone to its factory settings, Still it remains the same. i cant able to connect to Internet using cellular data. help me...Plz..
Where did you purchase it from? There are lots of iPhones sold as "unlocked" which are carrier locked phones that were hacked and are not officially unlocked. These phones are subject to re-locking to the original carrier, particularly when updated.
