I am trying to import a CD as an album but each time it imports each individual song. How do I correct this?

You may want to take a look at "iTunes 11 for Mac: Import songs from CDs." When you import the CD, iTunes should be importing it as one album. If you continue to have issues take a look at your import settings.

I am having a similiar problem. I did not ever have the problem with Lion and my 4gen iPad.
I allowed the Mavericks update just about the same time that AppleCare put a new Motherboard in this computer, so I don't know if either of those has anything to do with this or not? (4 year old MBP 17 dual i7)
But now when I reboot my MBP, it tells me that this computer is not authorized to play, sync, etc.. with my iPod (or iPhone) and asks me for my password. With I enter it, I get a message that says "This computer is already authorized". I have 4 Apple ID's and it asks me to enter that information for every single one and then tells me that the computer is already authorized.
How can I enter this ONCE and make it stick?

Is there a DJ app for the Ipad that will read the "start" and "stop time" setting for each individual song, as they are set in the song Options screen in Itunes? The Ipod Touch, by itself does not allow cross-fading, therefore when the stop time is edited short, the song jusst truncates then goes to the next song. I tried the DJay ap and while it would crossfade, it would NOT read the song settings for the stop marker. So now I want to try and Ipad and see if there is an app that will READ the Itune stop settings within the song. I do NOT want an app that will allow me to DO the stop marker. I want an app that will READ the stop marker from the song as it is set in Itunes.

Itunes provides the option for setting the Start and Stop times of each music track. However, the start and stop times do not synchronize to the iPhone. I don't understand why this option is even available as it doesn't work when listening to music on the phone. I have not found another application that will support the start and stop time markets. I have searched quite a bit for this but can't find anything. I hope we can find something.

On iMac running OS 10.6.7, tried ver 4 3x's and each time had to revert back to older version since can't import bookmarks, etc. Now I can't revert back to older version! Help!

I've tried Beta ver 4 before (2x's) and each time I had to revert to older version since I was unable to import all my bookmarks, etc. after following all the right steps. I have them saved as HTML and json files. Neither works in ver 4 now. I am stuck. I've Googled fixes, but now need your help to resolve this incessant problem.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Importing vinvl albums via garage band have to import tunes individually .tunes willnot recombine into one album. I understand that it is because data available on cd's is not present on vinyl..any clues on how to fix this?

iTunes will not assign track names to items imported from vinyl. You will have to label the files yourself in the Get Info window. As long as you give all the tracks on an album the same album information and the same artist information they should group together. if the artists differ then you need to give all the tracks one common album artist (often "Various Artists")in addition to individual track artist.

Import Folder With Songs Without Show Them In Albums

I have 2 qustions i would like to ask ( sorry about my english)
1. I have a folder i made on my desktop with many songs from lots of artists. i want to make a playlist with all of this songs. i can drag all of them to the playlist i made but i don't want them to show in the albums or artists view. is there a way to do it ? i can change the info of the songs to have the same album name and VA artists name so i have only one album but i can only do this in itunes and i don't want to import the folder the itunes beacuse i don't want to have a mess.
2. when i play a song i have on my desktop it's automaticly had the song to itunes album and artist view - is there a way to disable it?

1) The moment you import the songs in iTunes, they will show up in album or artist view, no way to get around that. Why would you want that?

You won't make a mess if you do it like this:
- make a new playlist, name it.
- open your folder on your desktop in a finder window, and select all songs (command + A)
- drag these songs into this playlist, iTunes will add them to your library.
- in iTunes, rename the appropriate ID3 tags by selecting what belongs together (as I understand, everything, so again command + A), Get Info (Command + I ) or rightclick, edit the ID3tags, and press enter.
2) This is default normal behaviour. If a song is playable with iTunes, it will automatically launch iTunes when you double click it, and imported into your library.
If you do not want this, you want to open a song with another application, you can change the default app.
In the finder select a song from your folder, Get Info (command + I)
There you have:
Open with: iTunes (default)
Use the arrows to select another app to open it with
and then press "Change All"
From now on your music files will open in this other app by default if you click them.
(Note: you have to repeat this process for each different file format extentions, like mp3, AAC, wav, ...)
If you don't want that either, you just want to temporarily listen without importing them, you can always use the preview function, by selecting the file, and hitting the spacebar. This will open the file in a preview mode.
With the arrows up or down you can go immediately to the previous or the next file without leaving preview mode.

If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked. I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed. eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money. HT4236 I tried to synch to iTunes and it deleted the photos on my phone instead. Is there any way to retrieve them?

I recently lost all of my files do to a hard drive crash. The backup service (which I will never use again) didn't back all of my photos up, but I had them on my phone. I hooked the phone up and it automatically went into some sort of synch mode, but instead of putting the photos onto iTunes, it deleted all of the photos from my phone! Now they are synched with the smaller set, and I've lost precious photos! I'm so upset!! Is there anything I can do or is it lost.
I have some on my iTunes but I'm afraid to synch and loose those as well. can someone help me?

I've been trying to update my apps, and each time I press update, this message pops up: This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled.

The same message pops up for apps I have yet to download. I was able to update all my apps yesterday, but now, I can't even download new apps on my iPhone 5 and my 5th generation iPod Touch.

Same problem for my new purchase "This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled". When downloading from my laptop to GPS, the time taken causes my computer to eject the transfer because it has extended beyond the setting in the computer. This has happened before when trying to update the GPS and that time a Apple technician instructed

I'm try to update my GPS. I download the new info for the GPS to the laptop. Then I connect the GPS the laptop and start the download to the GPS. But this can take hours to transfer. Because the time needed is beyoun what the computer is program, so the connection is ejected. I've been thru this one other time while updating the GPS and it was than the an Apple technitian told me how to disable the auto eject because of the set time limit.

You can sync them via your computer's iTunes : connect the iPad to your computer and select it in your computer's iTunes, and then select its Photos tab :
And on that tab select the folder that the photos that you want to copy are in and sync/apply that selection to your iPad.
To remove the photos from the Photos app you will need to do similar to above, but select and sync an empty folder (you can't delete synced photos directly in the Photos app, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync).
Or you could email them to yourself and use 'open in' in the Mail app to copy them to the Photos app
