I am trying to sync my ipod to my laptop but it told me to restore it. i did so and it failed but there was nothing on it to restore to begin with
I am trying to sync my ipod nano to my windows laptop. I previously synced it to a different laptop but the music didnt sync to the ipod. The previous laptop is old so I figured a newer laptop would be more sufficient. While on the new laptop it is telling me it can not be restored to manufacture settings but there is nothing on the ipod. I know i am being vague, I apologize. I am just frustrated becuase this was a christmas present for my father. Any help is greatly appreciated.
This would have helped when my computer 1st crashed, but I had to replace that PC in May. Since then I have struggled to get my music back, which I have, but I can,t get it back on my iPod. When I looked at the area in iTunes where it sync,s my music it lists both PC,s. My old PC listing says update music,video etc. Where it has the name of my new PC it says tone only. My iTunes purchased music returned to the iPod but the majority of my music which came from my CD,s loaded to my Windows PC was missing. When I connected my iPod to my PC to sync, everything was erased from it, never to return.

You need a 3rd party tool to transfer music from iPod to Mac (Google for options) -
i have bought 4 new songs on my ipod touch from the itunes app, then i tried to sync my iod to my laptop after updating itunes to the latest version. My ipod will now no longer sync, what should i do?
- Try moving the backup file to a safe location so iTunes has to create an entire new one.. It is locate here and you may have to have show hiddn files turned on.

I went to two different apple stores and both people looked at it and they said that my phone definitely had major hardware issues and that the dock was broken and that the headphone jack was broken but they said that I was out of warranty so I would have to pay around $200 for a replacement or an upgrade. But I really don't want to go that because I am waiting for the newest iPhone to come out because my contract is up in November. The guy in the 1st store was surprisingly rude to me.

When I turn my computer on (Windows 7) I receive a message that Apple wants to make a change to the hardware. I click on yes but nothing happens. The change has something to do with Apple "push". I recently had a problem with"push" on iTunes when I tried to sync my iPod Touch. I have latest software for iTunes and iPod. Can anyone tell me what to do to get this change to install?

My ipod 160 will no longer sync properly or will hang when attempting to sync yet my 4th gen touch doesn't have any problems. I am thinking about uninstalling it and rolling back to an older version of itunes.

I repeatedly receive an error message when trying to sync my ipod touch with my itunes library with my new computer which reads, "Some of the items in the itunes library were not copied to the ipod because you are not authorized on this computer." However when I try and authorize my computer I always receive the message that this computer is authorized. What am I doing wrong? I'm missing about 100 songs as a result of this error!!

I'm trying to sync my ipod classic with my itunes library, but I get a message saying it can't be synced because the required disk can't be found. How do I find what this disk is? I have over 2,000 songs in my itunes library but only 497 sync. Help!
Could any of the music have been sourced on an external USB drive or a network drive? In iTunes, go to one of the songs that won't sync. Bring up the info page, and look at the location of that song on the disk. Does that file and path exist? That could be your problem, especially if they were on a USB drive you forgot about.

Trying to sync my iPod with iTunes and I am getting this message:"This computer is no longer authorized to play purchased items that are on the ipod"... I have deauthorized and reauthorized the account and still getting the same error. I have read and followed the instructions in the support article TS1389. I do NOT have an SC info folder at /Users/Shared/ directory to delete.
I just installed Lion yesterday, and am running iTunes 10.4. First attempt to sync since upgrade.

I "deauthorized" my old MBP and still told I cannot use my iPhone with iTunes.
Interesting that my old $2500 MBP, my new $3000 MBP and my $500 iPhone all cannot work cuz of some pinhead's decision to use this assorization process.
