The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. I've been having the same issues too, and thought it was just my outdated computer or account?!
Every time I try to purchase a song, "session has timed out" shows up after I click "agree" to the terms!? I seem to be in the exact same scenario as 'SportsBarn' above: Itunes support have replied repeatedly with the same "solutions" but nothing has helped or even been applicable. I have an older laptop, 2005 Powerbook running OS X 10.4 Tiger so it's not compatible with the latest iTunes 10.5.2 which requires minimum OS X 10.5. I think I may be having the same problem. "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection timed out. All tests pass the diagnostics. iPhone restored to factory settings in DFU mode, but when beginning to sync I get this error message. Trying to PSE 8 as editor in IPHOTO 11 but the option "In application does not

I'm trying to use PS Elements 8 as an external editor in iphoto11, but the option "In application" does not appear as an option for Edit in:. This previously worked but now I only have the option of editing in iphoto. The move of the menu item from general to advanced seems to have screwed it up. Any one have a similar problem??

try renewing your iPhoto preference file -
A good general step for strange issues is to renew the iPhoto preference file - quit iPhoto and go to "your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist and trash it - launch iPhoto which creates a fresh new default preference file and reset any personal preferences you have changed and if you have moved the iPhoto library repoint to it. This may help
This does not affect your photos or any database information (keywords, faces, places, ratings, etc) in any way - they are stored in the iPhoto library - the iPhoto preference file simply controls how iPhoto works - which is why renewing it is a good first step.

Single biggest cause of this is security software on your computer: Anti-Virus software, Firewalls, etc. Try turning off or completely disabling all of that stuff.

Iphone 4.3 software update keeps timing out when attempting to download.

I have tried several times (at least 6) to download the new 4.3 software. It goes all the way through the download process and when it goes to install it, it says that it has "timed out". I have a secure wireless connection and it has not been disconnected or interupted any of the times. Is there a setting I need to change or what? There are several apps I cannot use because 4.3 will not download. PLEASE HELP!!

Listen, I for one can assure you that I do not use 'HALF* programs' or equipment, it is a great insult you say this, to all who spend big bucks to use Apple Ipod's and pay your wages to work for Apple. I know that programers who write these updates are individuals who are very highly intelligent in their field. For them to take nanosecond and provide a little more time to keep all users safe, even the ones who may use your so called 'Half* programs" safe, they still pay good money to use iTunes, Apple products.
Here is a suggestion, make the updates alittle smaller, AND a whole lot less attitude from customer service people we are only asking a question.

Pop up usually meant that icloud activation lock is still on on Apple servers. In order to deactivate you need to turn icloud back on by signing in and then sign out properly. For your sake I hope that you know the password.

When you go to Settings>General>WiFi Sync - you should see the name of your computer. that is what should up in there is WiFi syncing has been setup correctly in iTunes.

I have a MacBookPro, an iPad and an iMac using a wifi connection with an airport extreme base station. Lately I am having trouble with connection time outs. Right now the laptop and ipad are connected okay but the iMac has timed out and I can't reconnect

Just the last week or so (maybe since Apple released a new software update for my Airport, I keep getting kicked off the net and can't reconnect - it doesn't even show my wifi network in the list of available networks. Resetting the password you will need to do for each device... the utility cannot even see those old units.
So you will have to do it for each one.. think it through.. because as you change passwords the others will lose connection.. so start from the express which are wireless extending .. change those first.. and go back up the chain.. as each one changes it will drop off the network.. until you reach extreme and change that. Then you might need to reboot the whole network to get everything talking again. If something goes wrong.. just pluck that one out of the mix and plug in ethernet.. reset and redo the setup. That is my preferred method anyway.. do everything in isolation one by one. By ethernet and then nothing goes wrong.

You cannot partition a network disk. And apple provided no tools for it in the TC itself. You can pull the disk out and partition it but that voids your warranty. (although done with care who is to know).
