I have a 2005 G5 operating on version 10.5.7. I have *FCP 5*. I do a lot of video editing and have been using this system since 2005. I have *4 gig Ram*. Suddenly it won't capture and when I try to go into that mode I get a message: *UNABLE TO INITIALIZE VIDEO DECK*. My cameras are a new *Canon XH-A1S and a older Canon XH-A1*, they both won't initialize. So I uninstalled all FCP software and reloaded only to get the same message. Did it. No luck, However while repairing my permissions four of them came up: Warning: SUID file "System/Library/Filesystems/AppleShare/afpLoad" has been modified and will not be repaired.
There's one for "System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/DiscManagement etc and "sbin/umount" and "usr/bin/quota" On all of the other permissions it says they "differ". Anyway it didn't help and I did it to my two internal hard drives.
iMovie will upload and control my camera but I'm capturing much of it in electric green and pink. Boy am I confused. It's not like I'm a novice, I've been doing this for years. During a update process , someone called me. So i unplugged the IPhone 4 to answer it. I put the Iphone back on to the usb and continued syncing and updating. Someone called me again. I have an HP Photosmart 8200 and and Epson Artisan 800 printer and neither one is showing up in my printer selection any more. How do I get these back?

I have a MacBook Pro that came with Mac OS 10.7 Lion on it, and had been printing on both an HP Photosmart 8200 and an Epson Artisan 800. I had an issue where I would print from Photoshop and every time I would print I'd need to make a new printer. I don't think that it was ONLY WAY, but it worked for me. Anyways, I finally got tired of scrolling down the list to choose the new printer – HP Photosmart 8200_23 – or something like that, so I deleted some of the printers that had extra numbers. This is where the print Print & Scan dialog in the system prefs has the little plus and minus. It turns out that I pressed the minus on everything - going overboard with my clicks. Now, I have NO PRINTER and each time my computer tries to download drivers from HP and Epson, they have no updates for me. When I go on there website there are no drivers for Mac 10.7. I have no idea how to get my printers back. Any ideas or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Can you be more specific as to what is missing? What was the function of these ''glyphs''? You might want to try starting Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the ''Option'' key while Firefox is starting. If you disable all themes and add-ons and everything looks right again, you can try turning things back on one by one until you find the culprit.
Do you mean the icons for your bookmarks are missing? If that's the case, you should take a look at [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/latest-firefox-issues#os=mac&browser=fx9 this article] that discusses some of the issues with the latest build of Firefox.
There is some information in there that should help you to resolve your issue. Luckily, it is a very easy fix.

Drag the Safari icon straight up and off the Dock so it goes, "poof" ...
Now click and hold the Safari app in the Applications folder and drag that to the Dock.
See if you can open a webpage in Safari.

You didn't import all of your pics regularly? Particularly before an update?
They may very well be gone.
You can try restoring from backup.

I have same issue. I click on the home button and Wake/sleep at the same time for 30 seconds or more and then the phone entered in Recovery mode. It is erasing my content now and installing the update. Let´s see how this ends. I have iCloud, iTunes match, and backups from previos versions, hope I can restore all my content.
Otherwise I´ll go to the Genius Bar to do a checkup.

It did not work the first time... The iPhone4 kept in limbo. Then I did disconnect as suggested above and tried again to enter in Recovery mode. This second time it works. And after restoring the iPhone4 with 7.0.3, it asked me if I want to recover from backup. I did recover from my latest back up and now it is syncing the content.

The idea is that the button on the end of the location gar is smart and changes between being a stop or a reload button. It is a stop button whilst loading and a reload button once loaded.
The buttons can be dragged off the customise menu, or if they are already on the toolbar they may be re-positioned, they combine depending on the order they are in, separate them or move them so they swap places, instead of docking with the location bar.

The Ask Toolbar is causing that in the Firefox 3.6.13+ versions. Evidently something in that extension isn't compatible with a Firefox security fix. Disable that extension or un-install it.
