I bought the production premium , cs6 , and I download it and registered with out any problem , I formatted my computer then I downloaded the collection , now everything else working only after effect is not working , what shall i do

did ae install without problem? check the install logs to be sure (Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC)
if it did, what do you see when clicking the executable?

You need the password of the iCloud account/Apple ID that was used to originally set up the phone. That is the activation lock/anti theft feature in iOS 7. There is no way to get around that, except by using the password.
The original seller should have disabled it, but did not. if the seller is unable or unwilling to give you the information rerquired to unlock your phone, the the phone is probably stolen. That is why you have anti theft features in the phone; to avoid a situation similar to yours.

You're original response was questions/post about an iMac. Now you've edited it to ask about a Mac Pro?
You can more easily add internal drives in a Mac Pro.
Not too terribly easy to add/replace drives in an iMac.

After Effects import not working

New Premiere user here, just switched from FCP working with Production Premium 5.5.
I created an AEP. I created a Premiere Pro edit. When I import the AEP with either Dynamic Link or direct import it goes fine, except that it's black in the timeline or preview monitor; simply nothing appears. What I see as a great benefit of working with After Effects and Premiere is being able to put AEP's in the timeline, which is exactly which doesn't seem to be working.
What am I missing or doing wrong?

Very hard to say, but just for fun, drag and drop the AE comp link in the project window onto the New Item icon. This will create a new sequence just for that comp (which you can delete later if it doesn't work). I'm just interested to see if creating a new sequence that's based exactly on the AE comp settings solves this problem for you. It's a long shot, but worth a try.

After Effects lights not working

I am working in After Effects CC. I added a light to my scene and it just turns all of my 3d layers black. I am a very seasoned AE user. I have worked with lights before. I don't know what is going on here. It's not a draft mode issue. And my lights are not behind my layers or anything like that. I have found other people in the online forums with this problem from over the years but never a solution. Ambient light is the only light that works. Spot, pin, and parallel turn everything black. Thoughts?

Once the problem presented itself I started fresh with a new project and very simple comp and still had the same problem.
So my settings are pretty straightforward.
I am using After Effects CC (not the 2014 version)
I have one 3d solid that I pushed back in z-space. It is set to receive lights.
I am using Classic 3d.
I created a new spot light.
The settings are as follows:
Intensity: 100%
Color: white
cone angle 90
cone feather 0
falloff smooth
radius 75
Falloff distance 24
Casts Shadows on
Shadow Darkness 20%
Shadow Diffusion 0
If I turn my light off you see my solid. If I turn it on you see only blackness.
If I add a 2d layer you can see it. Once I make it 3d, it turns black.
Thanks for any advice you have. I'm guessing I probably need to do a clean install or something because this is crazy. It's not like I've never used lights before. They just up and stopped working.

I am switching computers and want to reinstall Production Premium CS6. Adobe won't help me. Can any of you?

I have an old HP Laptop that is about to be completely kaput. I'm getting a new PC and would like to take CS6 Production Premium OFF of my laptop and install it ONTO my new PC. I've moved a few times over the years and so I can no longer find the disks or the code. I've had a similar problem before when my harddrive died on my current laptop. Adobe had no problem sending me a download file of the whole software as well as finding my registration code and sending me a new one. Now, with the creative cloud, they won't even put me in touch with anyone. Can anyone help me or am I SOL?

I am running FF 6.8 and when trying to download 6.12 I am told I do not have the systems premission to insatall it. I have been using FF for a few years now with out any problems. What has been changed to lock me out of FF upgrades?

I have downloaded the upgrade and attempted to move it from the application folder to the dock without any luck and when I ask help to check for updates I am told I do not have permission to install updates. I attempted to update FF a couple of months ago and when I encounter this problem I downloaded Safari and installed it. I have tried a couple times along the way to download the upgrade to FF without any luck.

• Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re)install.

Premeire CS4 and After Effects CS4 not working

If this isn't the place on the forum to post this please say so. Every thing was working until one day after effects started making my image sequences alot smaller than usual. I could find no help for this, so I restored my computer. After it got done restoring After Effects wasn't installed. I restored it to when it had been installed. This confused me so i tried to re-install it using the package that you download from the trials(I'm using the trial versions). It got to about 80% loaded(Not 80% installed, the installer was 80% open) it froze and wouldn't go any further. I had to use Ctrl Alt Delete to get it closed. I reinstalled the installer many times, but the same thing kept happening. After this happend I figured I could live without the After Effects Trial. Adobe Premiere worked perfectly untill I tried to export to a media file. When I do that it comes up with an error. When I click the error button a text file comes up with a bunch of numbers, also it says something like "This operation was canceled by the user". I didn't do anything to cancel it so I have no idea what's happening. If you need the text document posted please say so. Thanks for your help I can't figure out what's going on.

I'm trying to export to .avi, but the weird thing is was it was working before the whole thing with after effects.

I have a 32in 1080p Sony Bravia. and a early 2009 iMac 20in. i bought a mini Dvi to HDMI adaptor. And i have the HDMI cable. but every time i connect my iMac with my Tv my iMac screen turns blue then back to the desktop.

i also click on detect displays and nothing happens.

You have the display set in Extended Desktop mode. In System Preferences>Display there should be an Arrangement tab when you have the TV hooked up to the MacBook and both screens working. Do you see two monitors side by side? One of them will have a Menu Bar at the top. Just click on the Menu Bar and drag it to the second monitor. That will make the second monitor your main screen. When you disconnect from the TV your Menu Bar will automatically change back to the MacBook.

.AVI files into after effects do not work? how do I fix?

When I record with my vivitar dvr 840xhd camera, and try to import the files into after effects. The files import into after effects just fine, except the little icon of the video is all grey. But when I put it into the comp and try to view it. The whole video is only a black screen. I try to watch it and find out that the audio works in it. but not the video. Throwing it into media encoder and trying to convert it only does the same thing, just a black screen with audio. But when I play the file on windows media player it works just fine. I have After effects CS5 and I run windows 7. Anyone have any good anwsers? Perferably one that does not reqire another program video converter to put it into the file type I. I tryed that before with many other video converters. I either loose quaility. If im filming in 60fps, it is reduced to 30fps. I can only convert so much in one clip. And most leave watermarks. I would much rather be able to import these .avi files into after effects without the wait and annoyance of a 3rd party program. Thanks for the help.

Probably not. AVI is just a generic container format and without any more info we will not be able to give you any proper answers. Even their website doesn't give any specifics. Use GSpot or MediaInfo to find out what CoDecs it is using exactly. Since the camera is based on Flash memory, though, I already get this ugly feeling it is using some atrocious non-standard MPEG4 derivative nad that would mean there is no chance at all to use it directly in AE...

Did you check system requirements? What else is running? If you have enough ram, enough screen resolution, and enough free space on your drive AE should run.
Something may be conflicting with AE. Did you try a re-boot?

After effects cs4 not working

Hello i am german and 14 years old so please be sorry for my bad english I have a question to after effects cs4! I installed the demoversio a half year ago but i never used it! Now i want to test it before i will buy the full-version! But if i start after effects it only says accept the lizens and then nothing happens!

Calculations that work in After Effects but not in Premiere Pro

I'm developing another Premiere Pro plugin based on AE effects SDK.
The plugin manipulates pixels in a very simple way - based on lift/gamma/gain controls it changes the values as such:
colorRGB->blue = PF_POW( colorRGB->blue , gamma) * gain + lift
And so on for the red, and green. All in floating point, PF_FpShort. I even tried doing calculations in PF_FpLong, but the results were the same.
Later the values can be clipped using MAX and MIN macros.
In After Effects everything works perfectly. In Premiere Pro, once certain gamma treshold (less than about 0.5, more than about 1.4) is reached, I start getting weird artifacts. Either green pixels or black squares in random patterns, usually, but not always, corresponding to the darker parts of the image.
I have no idea why, and how to correct it.
Please help.
EDIT: Actually any gamma that is different than 1 results in these weird artifacts, and only in the BGRA_32f mode. BGRA_8u works fine.

I have applied the procamp, and I am even more convinced that this must be some kind of a bug with the blue channel.
All other channels handled negative and positive values out of [0,1] range perfectly - reducing brightness in the procamp, and bringing it back in my filter works fine. Of course, all the data in the blue channel is already lost by clamping it on the input.
Which is the reason I would not want to clamp the blue channel on input, and proceed with the calculations. But so far I have not figured out how to do it.
EDIT: Stranger and stranger...
If I clamp the assignment to the proxy pixel, it works fine:
colorRGB->blue = MAX (0, inP->blue);
But if I clamp just the value in the PF_POW macro like this:
colorRGB->blue = PF_POW (MAX (0,inP->blue), gamma.blue ) ;
or like tis
colorRGB->blue = PF_POW (MAX (0,colorRGB->blue), gamma.blue ) ;
It doesn't. It also doesn't work with pow() function from math.h, and it also doesn't work if I clamp the PF_POW from the outside like this:
colorRGB->blue = MAX( 0 , PF_POW (colorRGB->blue, gamma.blue ) );

After effects 4 not working

Hi, sorry i didn't know where to put this question. I have an old after effects 4 for mac that doesn't install at all. is this not compatible with tiger? is there a way to get it to work?

Check the System Requirements of AE 4, I think it only runs on OS 9, and if you do not have Classic install on your G5 (note: Intel macs cannot run Classic anymore), when you insert the installer nothing will happens, or when click there'll be no response.
