I can not get my IE 8 favorites over to Firefox (ver.25.0.1) bookmarks even after exporting IE fav. to html file and then in Bookmarks importing thru Manager!!
using XP professional, have hundreds of Favorites in IE 8. I can not get them over into Firefox either directly from the Bookmarks Manager (show all bookmarks/import and backup/Import data from another browser OR by exporting the Favorites in IE 8 to a html file (did) and then coming back over to Firefox Bookmarks and using the Bookmarks/show all bookmarks/import and backup/import bookmarks from html file. I find the file, double click it open BUT nothing happens in the Bookmarks Library???
It is not a case on some come over - nothing happens??
Did you try a search in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) for some know bookmarks?
Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

Can not get search engine pages to load with Firefox
I just bought new computer (windows 7, 64 bit) and loaded Firefox yesterday. All works fine except that it will not load any search engine pages. All I get is a blank, white page. (no error codes, ect.) Have tried to access all the different engines in the tool bar, with the same result. If I use Explorer, all load fine. Any ideas?
The problem I am having is that this website will not load on my MacBook Pro. I don't know if it has something to do with the fact that the website was created on this computer using iWeb and then I had to change to a different webhost on July 1st (Dreamhost) when Apple discontinued Mobile Me / Webhosting as of July 1st. That is when I was no longer able to load the site on this one computer.
I get this message with Safari:
Safari can’t open the page “http://www.challengefitnesscrossfit.com/” because the server where this page is located isn’t responding.
and this message from Firefox:
The connection has timed out
The server at www.challengefitnesscrossfit.com is taking too long to respond. -
I am unable to turn on the voice over function on Iphone 4. The meesage appears informing me of what the functions does, I press ok and the the message stays on the screen for 30 secs or so and then it automatically turns the voice over function "off" - why???? what am I doing wrong?
I just had this same issue. It occured after I joined my school's Wi-Fi. Suddenly, my home ATV2 and iPhone4 weren't on speaking terms. All five other iphones, ipads, and macs were operating as they should. My phone was not. I tried everything: unplugging and restarting ATV2, deauthorizing all my devices and reauthorizing them, deleting and reinstalling remote app, and countless home sharing on and offs on all devices. Finally, I turned the Wi-Fi off and then on in the setting of my iphone. Boom. Situation remedied. I hope this helps.

Yep, you lose all interactivity when publishing to video.
Udemy, Lynda.com, Total Training and other similar models are based on simple "watch the video to learn" type of consumption. The only real interactivity you get is an ability to pause, rewind, fast forward. Basically anything you can do with a video.

I use Vista 64 bit. Was fine with older Version of Firefox (3.6, I believe). Upgraded to Ver. 4. Couldn't access extensive bookmarks file or bookmarks toolbar. Tried all the Firefox help recs and they didn't work. Clicking the top button would give list of toolbars but when I tried to move to bookmarks toolbar the menu changed. Tried going thru tools and options and that didn't work. So decided to use System Restore to get old Firefox version back. Icons remained but program wouldn't open. Tried many ways, including start menu. Old version is still on program control file but only option is to uninstall. So went back to System Restore to get Vers. 4 back and it's not there. What to do?? I can use Google Chrome or Internet Explorer but I want all my 100's of bookmarks back. Thank you.

I have an iPad 3 model A1416 16GB. It is about 1 1/2 years old. When I opened it today the screen for my password came up and then before I could enter it the screen went blank. My aperture library will not open after restoring my whole computer after a kernal panic. I can not get the Aperture troubleshooting menu to open...any help?

Fisrt let me thank you for your reply and assistance! So here is the problem with so more detail...I was not sure I was going to get any replies ; )
I restored from a time machine back up.
History of Failure:
I was trying to launch Aperture when the kernal panic occured. My computer had been closed, and asleep and the battery was dead. I plugged in charger and it was restoring/waking up after being asleep/shutting down from dead battery. I launched Aperture from the dock and as soon as it opened the kernal panic occured. After that the computer would not turn on. It would try to boot then it would shut off. I even tried to safe boot to no avail. I went to the Apple store and they told me that the only thing I could do was restore whole computer from back up. So thats what I did.
Since then my previous aperture library: "2011" will not open. I have created a new aperture library "2012", and it runs fine. I have added new photos for about the past month...no problems.
When I launch aperture with 2012 library then try to switch libraries, I get the following prompt: "The selected library is from an older version of Aperture and requires a relaunch to switch." I choose "Relaunch" and I get the following warning prompt: "There was an error opening the database for the library “~/Pictures/Aperture Library 20111.aplibrary”." The only option is "Quit"
Both libraries are version 3.2.3
Computer stats: 3.06 GHz Core 2 Duo, 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 RAM, OS X 10.6.8
I have tried to launch aperture troubleshooting by holding option+command from both the aperture icon and from the library file, neither will launch the troubleshooting feature.
I am ok with computers, but not a whiz (mechanical engineer)...to me it seems as though there is a corrupt path or file or some sort of "check" that is failing, becuase the failure occurs so fast after trying to launch aperture. Maybe that doesn't make any sense but just a thought.

I had to change my password for one of my Email accounts ([email protected]) and now I can not get the mail to go into Mozilla Firefox and I don't know how to change the password in Mozilla to get the mail into it.
I looked at how to change my password but the options you told me to use were not available. I clicked on tools then options but there was no sync tab or manage accounts either.The login.salesforce.com website is using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

Can not get my voice mail while in canada
Hello i can not get my voice mail while in canada.. help call forwarding is off.. when i dial my 10 digit number and hit send it says call ended.... but as soon as i cross back into the us it works just fine .. all was good till approx 6 weeks ago.. i have not added any thing or removed any thing either.
While in Montreal PQ I don't receive voice mail notifications and *VM does not work. However if I dial my ten digit phone number I can retrieve my voice mail.
Also when I get to my hotel I can dial my phone and retrieve that way.
Another way is to use the backdoor Verizon voicemail number then follow the prompts to enter your cell number and password code.
It is not toll free but I have never been charged for using it.
Of course I don't know if it even is still available. -
I can not get the ringer symbol off of my home screen on a frequent basis.
I can not get the ringer symbol removed from my home screen on a frequent basis. I have tried pushing the volume keys and the mute button, but nothing helps.
Hold Sleep Button with Home Button toghether until it restarts Always it takes 8 to 15 seconds, after it restarts leave the sleep button and remember do not leave the home button it automaticlly switches to DFU mode.

It depends on what version of iTunes and ios you are using. Usually when one is newer is a newer version of the software it isn't that compatible.

there is a problem , when i write like below :
SELECT * FROM bsis INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE it_temp
WHERE bukrs = p_bukrs
AND hkont = p_hkont.
p_bukrs , p_hkont are all on the selection screen , and p_bukrs = 1200 another is eq blank. i can not find any data , but with the same condition i can find some data in database , when i debeg i found that p_hkont is initial.
when i write like this :

WHERE bukrs = p_bukrs .
this time i can find the data like the database.
so , does someone know where the problem is , why i can not get data ?

if u r using bukrs and hkont as parameters in selection screen then
SELECT * FROM bsis INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE it_temp
WHERE bukrs = p_bukrs
AND hkont = p_hkont.
this will work.
if u r using then as select-option then the above does n't work.
bcoz select-options work as internal table bcoz of that u have use the query like this
SELECT * FROM bsis INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE it_temp
WHERE bukrs IN p_bukrs
AND hkont IN p_hkont.
